Gauge inlay can be found on Ebay just try searching terms like "chevy s10 gauge overlay"

Oh yes - sound deadener is amazing. I used it when I built my 57 Beetle. The doors sound like a modern car when they shut. A nice thump & click of the latch.

Red reflective electrical tape! Love that stuff. I've used the same stuff on motorbikes for trim effect, mainly rims and rear areas of bikes for extra night visuals. Stuff lights up like taillights do when someone gets behind you, and when applied to chrome parts or aluminum rims is damn near impossible to remove.

Nice, anything reflective is a good ideal for a bike. I’ve sense removed that vinyl stuff and the tape. Had issues with it sticking… I do have some ideals in the pipeline to snazz the door sides up still.

Stick shift would be cool! Every thing else I have is stick so im ok with this being auto.

I got lucky and found a manual zr2, and I did a Solid axle swap on it. it's kinda like a little Tonka truck.

Thanks,Seats are out of a equinox, Console is just run-of-the-mill for that truck.

Any video on installing the overlay and removing the needles? I just did this and now my needles wont move or work.

Hardest part about the needles it’s just making sure they’re back in the right spots I got all of them right except my gas gauge got to go back for that…. As far as them not working I’m not sure, maybe they’re pressed into to far and rubbing the backing???

What 4x6's you use in dash? I can't seem to find any that clear depth on drivers side, dang AC duct is in the way. I got a 02 ZQ8

All the speakers were kicker DS series. I remember the dash ones being a little weird with the fit, but it was close enough that I was able to make them work.

@@nicholsperformance92 Good to know this i wanted to go with all kicker ds series. But crutchfield was saying top mount depth was to deep. So TY for info now i can finally get what i want and not what they want me to have lol.

Oh, I just wrapped over the stock piece. not sure were I got the zr2 sticker its been a while.

At the time I just searched “ s10 gauge overlay “ mine was from some eBay listing. There should be something out there with some googling. Good luck.

Do you plug the overlay into the fuse box or otherwise how do you plugin the lights on the overlay?

I think I just tapped into the power for the air bag switch light. It was the most convenient thing near by.

Unfortunately, parts for these things seem to be disappearing,, they’re in this weird stage to where they too old to have aftermarket parts.. but too new to be a classic truck and have aftermarket parts 😢.

I think I remember seeing that one, didn’t realize the 5 speed had a higher rev tach. Check out eBay. Try searching something like “ s10 gauge overlay “

Red electrical tape lol, jk kind of. I keep blowing replacement door cards in half. They love separating at the middle. I've simply self tapped them to the door at this point. The middle hides in the "fur" so I gotvlucky there lol. Eventually I'll just glass them inside , maybe do the interior too/ did 20 years ago on one of my Xtremes. Pain in the neck but after some skimming and paint,(flex additive added) they held up long after I sold the thing. I was recently looking at a dash cap, it's hard , not the stupid rug. Mine hasn't cracked yet nut I know it will! #S10 #7, 1st ZR2

The tape was all I had at the time to finish the job and seem like a decent idea but it started peeling off lol. I’m going to get just some black vinyl to trim it out… i’d like to do a diamond plate pattern instead of that carbon but I can’t seem to find vinyl with that kind of look for some reason.
