Man,, my opinion is if someone looks down on someone else’s love of skating because it’s different than what they do,, then they aren’t the true skaters. If you have wheels on your feet what does it matter?? If they are loving life, smiling and spreading good vibes like you do then that my friend is what skating is all about. I don’t care if someone has wagon wheels attached to their shoes,, if they’re happy then that makes me smile. You’re the man and the vibe you have and your love of skating you show in your vids are a huge reason I’m back on some wheels. Thanks for the awesome content and for reminding me why I started skating way back when,,,, because it’s fun!

At 46 now i apreciate all aspects of skating... Urban skating, Wizard skating, agressive etc I started skating again last year after 20 long years, in the 90's i was the hardcore kid that only cares about grinding and jumping, i still apreciate that now i enjoy riding in skateparks from time to time i have a lot of stuff to relearn. But at my age i think in urban skating we can do everything, you can skate agressive with big wheels, you can do whatever you want. Urban skating to me is everything you skate in the streets doesn't matter if it's with small or big wheels, Doing grinds in ledges in the street is urban, going downhill in your city can be urban too...Every kind of tricks or skating you do in the city is urban... i don't know if i'm explaining this well, bottom line is, just skate whatever you want.

I aggressive inlined for 10 years and quit and the pandemic hit and I got some 110mm big wheels and fell in love with it. Started jumping and doing tricks with them because of the speed. it feels amazing and been switching from aggressive to big wheels. It adds a different aspect and you throw in aggressive moves to the big wheels and the big wheel style to the aggressive inline aspect But in the end your on wheels so enjoy it. an example would be Skateboarding and longboards you can do tricks with both. Just open your minds ppl. Love it enjoy it and flow with it.

I strictly do aggressive, but how can you hate any boot with wheels on them? I really like seeing an aggressive skate video with that urban style mixed into lines. I also feel like we benefitted from being so under the radar because we have the freedom to mix and collaborate ideas versus being strictly one thing because it wouldn’t work in a comp.

No matter what skates you have, if you got wheels and you going, let me tell you, youve earned my respect, no matter the size of wheels or the style to skate. You had the Balls to put on and lock you comfortable walking motions to a whole new level, and that needs to be Praised and complimented more🔥🔥🔥

When i was a teen, aggro skating was really appealing and it inspired the younger me to challenge myself with all the tricks. It gave me a sense of achievement and pride. And the community i was with looked down on big wheel skaters which us calling them ‘filthy casuals’. Then adulthood crept on me and I quitted aggro skating for 15 years. Now that i am 35, and life hit a big toll on me, i decided to pick up skating back. Aggro skating didnt appeal much to me anymore like before and I realized big wheel skating showed me the reason why I love skating in the first place. It is the feeling of freedom and peace of skating.

I bought three wheel powerslide skates because of the simple physics. I want to skate the street and bigger wheels are just easier for that, especially in rural areas like where I live, where all the pavement and sidewalk is trashed everywhere. Rolling right over the bigger gaps that would stop up my smaller wheels is so nice. I bought quads recently and I've been absolutely loving them. They're amazing at the skate park and for cruising. Ice skating too, I just love it all.

All wheels are all good! I started big wheel skating last year and initially I stupidly felt like I should be embarrassed cuz I felt I was an aggressive skater only and almost looked down on other types of skating. Now I realise I'm just a skater and I enjoy everything from grinding to carving down a hill on big wheels! I think a big thing that helped me was seeing how much fun other people were having mixing it up. It's all about having fun nowadays and the majority of people are very open minded and inclusive.

Fair play for rolling that area, that did not look easy! I think you nailed when you said different styles are just different ways to explore our environment. I rarely even have an agenda when I got out and skate these days other than to roll free. I simply love the way skating feels, and I go out to experience that. Most times I don't plan a route, I simple roll wherever curiosity takes me. Right now's an exciting time to be a skater.

I’m one the so-called “pandemic” skaters that some OGs are talkin shit about. But I’m at an age now where I just don’t give a fuck. I love skating. It’s fun as hell to explore my neighborhood in a new way. And mostly people have been quite positive. I get stopped once in awhile by old bladers that reminisce of the time they used to do it. I get more cheers than jeers. And that’s cool.

Big wheels for fun is the best. I used to skate aggressive when I was younger, but the speed skaters with 120mm wheels are too serious for me. I just do about 70-100km a week for fun and relaxation. The 100's are the perfect sweet spot for this. Just need to upgrade to a 4x100mm frame rather than my current 3x100 for more stability. The 3x100 feel a little unbalanced front to back.

I just got into freeskating/power blading on Razor Shifts in the city and i love it more than aggressive now cause you can explore every where and jump on things and roll right over them, maybe its not as extreme but its safer for me cause my disability and also i unlocked better agility i could use with aggressive as well.

Being easier on the body is a big point. I hurt myself at a Tuesday night skate early this year in February. My back is better from this injury but I still don’t have full motion of my shoulder. And we are half a year later. I have slated a ledge since this a couple times. But most the time when I have a chance to skate I just skate around my downtown area on my 4x80 or 4x100 setups. Loosing time at work is a big factor I consider when skating.

Hey Ricardo, thanks for doing these videos with all the positive vibes. I am thinking of getting a Roces EGO 3x110 but in general I have a question: All of the reviewers including you has reviews and suggestions of comparing 3 wheel vs. 5 wheel systems. I understand the advantages and disadvantages, but what would you suggest for not beginners, but re-starters? I've used to do some aggressive inline skating for a couple of years, then I've not used to wear a skate for about 10+ years. What freeskate would you suggest for re-starters?

So question this is quite above my skill level and all that shit...But I am currently rocking Bauer’s breakout 30s. I am currently three days in to learning how to skate and I’m having so much fucking fun. They are 76 mm with a A82 Rating. If I put smaller wheels on my inner’s can I grind on them. I will likely get aggressive flats at some point Regardless. But I think I will take a liking to be at her old hockey skates too much to transfer over to Aggressive completely

Grinding is now main thing. Every video of agressive skating is 90 percent grinding and it is gettin on my nerves. There is so much more in inline skating then just leaving your filth on public, or worse, private edges and stair handrails. Soon, agressive skates would not have any wheels, only fckn grindplates. What a trivialization of noble skill!
@chilli-iceolive-abode2447
@chilli-iceolive-abode2447 2 года назад
Grinding has been the main thing in aggressive for like 20 years! I actually think there's more creativity out there now then say 15 years ago. If you don't like grinding though as you know there's loads of other types of skating other than aggressive you can watch. ☺️ Also you say only grindplates soon, but think 15 years ago freestyle was big with only 2 wheels, nowadays you actually find a lot of agg skaters going back to flat with 4 wheels. Either way I love aggressive and big wheeling and everything in between. ✌️

I don’t mind grinding in aggressive skating at all but I do agree that it is overplayed. More airborne tricks like misty flips and other things off of the half-pipe, ramps, etc. should be included instead of 80% grinds like you said. Perhaps some light parkour/calisthenics in conjunction with aggressive inline could be revolutionary.
