I do love how the trilogy explores the lore behind Ahkmenrah’s history, like he has a brother/enemy.

I'm french and the actor who played Napoleon Bonaparte is actually a french actor/humorist named Alain Chabat and it's really funny to see him here in an american film 😂

Fun fact: the dialogue in the scene of Kahmunrah flipping out was mostly improvised.

In my opinion, Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart is what elevates this movie from fun to an absolute blast. It really sucks that she and Larry couldn’t team up again in the third movie or end up together in this one because they actually were a really cute team.

Kahmunrah: "What are you?" Cody: "I'm the night guard." Larry: (says what Cody just said) "I'm the night guard. Cody: "Oh shit, he actually said that!" That is hilarious, Cody! 😂

“So I can’t do this, right?” I love that moment so much I’ve actually re-enacted it several times when people tell me not to touch things, line and all.

I think I just assumed that the front desk lady from the first movie finished her phd or whatever paper she was working on and went on with her life, possibly as a professor or went back to school. At least that’s my thought

This one is definitely my fav of the trilogy. We have apu from simpsons as the villan and we have Jon burnthal(the Punisher) as a mobster, andy from the office, Jonah Hill and darth vader

I actually got the chance to experience this sequel in the movie theaters. It was equally entertaining as the as the first, imo! The moment with Darth Vader’s cameo may be the most recognizable scene for me, among others.

We went to DC for a day while we were visiting a family friend and the Air and Space Museum was really cool. We saw Amelia's plane and they had the actual Wright Brothers plane, plus a bunch of giant rocket stuff and a V2 rocket from WWII. It was super cool

It was quite funny to me when you said you couldn't deal with Owen Wilson as a cowboy, because for a loooong time that's all I knew him as. Roy O' Bannon the charming, cheating cowboy in Shanghai Noon, alongside Jackie Chan. A movie you should watch actually if you haven't seen it! 😁😁

Larry was always an inventor, just a very mediocre one. In the first movie they established that he's made terrible inventions like the Snapper, and that him not getting his big break is why he's gotten evicted several times.

*Cody:* Come back to this after watching all three movies. *Warning: Trilogy Spoilers!!* Here's something to ponder (question/discussion): Ahkmenrah goes back to his mummy state when daylight hits because he's the real deal. This is touched on in the first movie, but confirmed in the third movie. With this information, we gather that all "real deals" revert back to their dead state during the day. The observation below is either a hidden detail or a plot hole: It is likely that the Kahmunrah in the second movie is a fake (wax, plastic, etc) given the fact he and his soliders didn't revert back into their mummy state. This could be a nice hidden detail, but it could also be just a simple plot hole since they do exist within the trilogy. What do you guys think: Is Kahmunrah, in the second movie, really Ahkmenrah's brother (plot hole) or is he an imposter (hidden detail)?

I remember watching this film in the cinema! Love this film series!

I remember watching this on dvd at my house with one of my best friends and she kept pointing out the cherubs (singing angel figures) were the Jonas brothers. I didn’t believe her until I read the credits lol 😆

So many comedy genius' in this movie, especially Jonah Hill and Bill Hader. They carried this movie on their shoulders😂 Also this movie is a masterpiece, they really upped the quality and effects on this film too. Absolutely memorable. One of the things I find really interesting about the characterization of some of these characters. In the first movie, it was Teddy that gave that whole speech about just being wax and that he wasn't who he was portrayed and it ended up being one of the deepest subjects of the movie. In this one, it's like, even though Gen George is just like Teddy- a wax figure with all the memories and life experiences of the real Gen George; Larry treats him like the real person and Gen George views himself as the real deal, to the point where he has internal turmoil around the fact that he is known for his biggest failures. And that's ALSO a really deep concept. Realizing that most of these characters in the museum that aren't animals or objects actually view themselves as the people they portray, and again with all the life experiences and memories as well. Amelia Earhart being sort of oblivious to this concept is actually kind of sad. Sure, I mean, they are great together, but it wouldn't last because despite making a relationship kind of work nightly, is all that can ever happen. If Larry ever wants to actually try again and have a family ( not to mention a healthy sexual relationship as well) it would fall through pretty quickly. And, there's also the fact that he has a son, and is just starting to be on good terms with his Ex-wife, attempting to have a relationship with a living wax woman might not be the best thing for that in the long run.

I will say the score to these movies is one of the first scores that I really noticed as a child, it felt so magical and full of enthusiasm, and adds so much to the films. I actually watched this movie long before the Harry Potter series so this score is even more nostalgic to me than HP’s theme!

The three villain the pharaoh recruits were heavily debated. One of the more memorable was Richard the III who would sometimes look straight into the camera when delivering his lines, which would lead to someone asking who he was talking to.

he was a inventor before he worked at the museum remember he was chasing his job as a inventor but he became one those jobless people who chase a dream job like artists or writers who still live at home because they refuse to get a day job the museium was meant to be his day job so he could stay and keep a normal for his kid while he worked on his inventions he seems to have gotten big between movies
