I am 59 yo. Never in my wildest nightmares, would I have ever conceived we would live in the world we see today. Truth is under attack and tearing the fabric of society apart and by the time we figure out how to save it, I am nearly 100% convinced it will be too late to save it😢
I still have hope that sanity will prevail. Too many people are still unaware of the danger inherent within gender ideology but slowly the truth of its effect is beginning to be known.
I am 26, just be glad you got to live in a time before all of this insanity lol. I was just lucky enough to be born early enough to get through public school without being subjected to absurd gender nonsense. For that I’m grateful, but the future is dim for sure

Sex is binary and immutable and matters in certain areas of life, gender is the behaviours/expression etc associated with male and female, it is a spectrum between feminine and masculine with gender neutral in the centre and it is SOCIALLY CONSTRUCTED, that is probably the most important bit. The problem is that trans ideology suggests that people have an innate gender identity, this suggests something "real" or fixed, whereas a gender identity is socially constructed - so pink for girls and blue for boys. Trans people can have things from the "gender spectrum" which are feminine or masculine and not typically associated with their sex but it does not literally make them the opposite sex, their gender identity is a social construct and their biological sex cannot be changed.
@@zeenuf00 It is not a useful nor even necessary synonym for sex. Sex is binary. You either produce large gametes and carry a fetus or you produce small gametes in large quantities. There is no third or infinite option nor is it possible to change from one function to the other regardless of how many amphibians or reptiles can. We are mammals. That is the end of the story.

The word "GENDER" is a Latin word and just means a group of anything, and comes from a family of Latin words still in use, genus, genre and general, it does not mean and cannot mean a spectrum or a variety, it means the opposite. When people use the word gender, they are actually referring to the spectrum of Masculinity and Femininity. Men can be feminine and women can be masculine and we are all a shade of both regardless of our sex.
You can't profess to know what it is to which people are referring when they use the word "gender". You can only know what you mean by it, and what those mean who express what they mean by it. I used to use it when I was referring to sex. Now, I don't use it in my own speech, as its new meaning is purely ideological and political. Whatever you may think about the term, it doesn't change the fact that humans' sex cannot be changed. Not with surgery, nor chemicals.

That’s why I believe that ppl who are biologically male or female (not biologically intersex) and experience intense ‘gender’ dysphoria aka ‘gender’ identity disorder are a form of intersex. Many therapists & religious leaders, specifically from Islam, from the east label it as psychological intersex or intersex of the brain.

Most American philosophers are the immediate intellectual descendants of philosophers who considered themselves to be analyzing concepts. *Woman* should be child's play for any philosopher trained in the analytic tradition. well, it seems to me that is a weirdly american problem. I would consider myself left-ish, considered for Europe, could be that this is a "rabid commie" in the US, having said that, I do love science, alsways like to search for the truth and can only shake my head about the trans-mania that is taking place at the other side of the pond. FUnny thing, I am a tall, totally non-gender confirming woman, just turned out that way, but made my peace with not fitting in. I think it is really important to teach acceptance and a kind of tolerance or wellcoming of the wide variety of shapes and sizes the human body can appear in. A scalpel will never lighten your mood, and if you have serious psychological problems, they will stay with you after transitioning. Anyone promising otherwise is a liar
