I saw a 4 door dually square body at a show last year with a 6-71 Detroit. He went for show quality on the entire truck but he daily drives it in the summer.

FYI. The front of the engine has the harmonic balancer not the flywheel.

@@JimmyChambers-sc9ocdefinitely.... a 71 of any model is huge and heavy. The 53 series is typically a better option for pickups, and revs higher also.

DT408. It was first introduced in 1993. Also known as the 6.7 liter. HP ratings for this engine were 175 - 230 HP @2600rpms w/ 430-650lb/ft @ 1800rpms - Source Google

This is the 190hp 500ftlb model DT408, You can turn them up a little and get about 250 HP out of them before you need to swap injectors and the turbo.

Yeah those DT466 are absolute tanks, up there with the most reliable engines ever made. I thought my 12 valve swapped Chevy dually was loud, this thing is louder, and mine just has a hood stack cause I'm lazy. Edit: I do also wear headphones when driving most of the time!

I never was a fan of those. when I was a kid like 16 forgot to put the air compressor bracket on the back of the air compressor and it Resulted with a crack in the timing cover.. broke my heart, took me forever.
