Definitely an otter that ate a chunk out of that poor flatty. Seen it live, an otter had a 32 pounder in the shallows with the same head wounds and it was still alive. Awesome day you guys had!

Amazing content man! For me getting those takedowns is one of the best feelings, & the take downs that I get are miniscule compared to y'all, lol. I also am going to admit right now that this spawn going on right now is very very depressing but its needed! I think the Flathead fishing has gotten waaaaay better in the tri-state area these last couple years.

Thanks Aaron, and I agree. The spawns rough for a flathead angler buy definitely needed. I usually take about a 6 week break to let them do their thing. Ill be back at it towards the end of July. Thanks again for watching

Flatties on the Ohio river are biting hard. Caught my PB last week 52lbs. And multiple 20 to 35 lb flatties. June should be Flat head month, it should be a national holiday.😃

This was filmed about 2.5 weeks ago. They have definitely started spawning around my way. You can still catch them but mostly dinks. I usually take about a 4-6 week break from targeting them when they start. Thanks for watching!
