My Favorite Bait for Flatheads PAYS off Big 

I put in the time to get a couple these rare fish. Holding them in the water & them swimming away is what I remember most of the fish. It is an experience of nature and a mutal friendship in a way he knows you let him live. Im really starting to care for these fish a lot. I caught a baby flathead the other day about 14".. he was so cute & so strong. Awesome little guy he seemed real cheerful 😂❤

I think it’s cool that you can tell, just by the bite, what catfish it is. A blue usually slams it. A Flathead is usually a subtle rod bend. And a channel is kind of a hybrid of the other two.

I’m from Greene County Pennsylvania I don’t know you but my mom does she said you are a very nice guy.. I’m sorry to hear about your health hope you heal to the fullest.. Im 35 and been having issues with my blood pressure.. Us younger guys you just never know and it’s scary to go through a traumatic experience with our health.. Just after watching what happened to Damar Hamlin I think everyone should be CPR certified and AED available everywhere even in homes.. I wish you the best with your fishing channel and have a safe speedy recovery.. Take care of yourself my friend!!

I know you said the hellcat rods you were using were medium heavy but what was the action on the big cat fever rods you were using? Medium?

Great idea saving these videos for winter, man. I love watching them even tho flatheads are the last thing on my mind right now. Do you have enough content to make a video on catching bait in our area? I’m sure you don’t want to give away secret bait spots but as my wife and I only make a couple flathead trips per year (we live in johnstown pa) that’s the hardest part for us. I usually end up taking trout and live/cut ‘gills from around here and I feel we’d do much better if I could figure out how to get shad and/or mooneye quickly before a trip
