The presenter had been given the best actress Oscar card by mistake that had "La la land - Emma stone" written on it. The first guy thought it looked wrong so hesitated, I guess to find a way to explain (might have just been better if he aloud said straight away they had the wrong card). After that, all the envelopes now have the category written on it so that it never happens again. The poor people behind la la land gave several minutes of speeches before they were told, but regardless of how pissed they were, they made a point of wanting to be the ones to hand over the oscars to the moonlight team to show their respect. Was one of the most mortifying things I've ever watched!
i think the reason that the oscar's went wrong was because he had been given the wrong card and the design of the cards is a lot more shit than you think tbh, it's not efficient for presenting
3:13 the best thing about the "i so pale" clip is that its the blonde girl who uploaded the video to youtube. so not only did she mess up a bit live on a local news channel, but her friend took the piss and showed it to millions online

I read that with the La La Land and Moonlight mix up the guy first reading the card saw that it was the for the wrong category and handed it to her hoping she'd notice and help with it but she misunderstood and read the first movie name that she saw. Later with La La Land coming onstage the director or something saw the card was for a different category and fixed it by getting the correct card which said Moonlight was the winner
I live in a part of America around 15 minutes from the Canadian border, and I think it's the least shit place here. We still get the average American every here and there, but it's not too bad.
I love America, and many things are nice here that many people take for granted but we don't. 320 mil strong. America is such a big place with many cultures and big cities. Patriotism is usually what matters in America, along with democracy, freedom, etc. Best place in the world, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. USA #1.

I remember once on the BBC weather report, the forecaster didn't at any point realise he was on so they just moved on to the next segment after about 3 minutes of nothing.
My favourite live mistake is one with a football reporter. They ask him if someone else has been sent off, and he is completely clueless and has no idea what has been going on in the match. That and the guy who came in for an interview but ended up on air.
Whenever I watch an S2W video I think "these are pretty good, I should watch some more" then I realize that I've watched every upload for the past 2 months :/
