8:30 I would min-click it to $480 and lead jam river regardless because it inches us closer to being breaking even. The problem is the spades draw / straight draw. Jamming the turn looks so strong that only KQ will call. I have 70K hands in 2NL and about the same in 5NL. I’m about to move up to 10NL. Hey I’m on vacation in Trinidad and I ate shark for the first time - it looks like you did too! 😊 🎉
I think the 44 hand is fine to x/r turn with for the reasons that you listed. At the same time, in a 3b pot, the call flop, x/r all in on the turn is mega strong. There are very few 'bluffs' there, other than JTss or like AJss at some frequency, and loads of value (44/QQ/KQ etc). I think versus large sizing, calling turn, and then calling all rivers is also fine, playing out of position is just hard in general, for both value and bluffs. Nice session though, you seem to be progressing quite well in your play. Good luck in all your shot taking!
on the 75hh hand is pretty interesting. I think its a fold preflop, unless your opponents are pretty weak. As played, I don't hate the stab, in position, with some back doors. When the BB just calls though on the flop, I think they are super capped to Qx/8x/and flush draws. They basically never have 88/22/Q8, since those all raise flop at some frequency. When the turn brings in the perfect combo draw, I think checking is easily the worst option. You are checking with 7 high, so you are basically always going to lose the hand if you don't make your draw, and your opponent is likely weak since they are in BB and just called flop bet. You mention being worried about being 'raised' off your equity, but I think that's unlikely to happen vs button calling range preflop+flop call. So, I think an overbet here is pretty sick vs most opponents, like a B125 (so something like $220 into $180). I think this forces basically all pairs other than Qx to fold, and even some weak Qx may fold a portion of the time. Non nut flush draws also likely fold, which is a huge win when you have 7 high. Assuming the front door flush doesn't come in, this is also a perfect hand to bluff rivers with, since you unblock all front door flush draws and opponents are not going to want to call a huge river bet when they have a capped range with just a one pair hand. Anyways, food for though. Just the concept of checking with 7 high on the turn vs an opponent with a capped range, when you are in position, is probably not a winning play in the long run.
I agree with you in this I put it in a solver and it likes an overbet a lot of times in this spot. So definitely dropped the ball with that. Obviously hitting your draw is great. But I need to play balence for times when I don't. On a brick river I'm not repping much by betting when I check turn. Thank you for all of the insight bro it means alot for you to take the time out to do so on all my videos!
I think calling on the turn with the 44 would’ve been fine and you can navigate tricky rivers but with the JJ I think you missed value only going for a 3x sizing. If he’s bluffing river he will fold to a 3x or all in (not sure how much you had behind) bt when he has straight or even some strong ace it will put him in he blender also allow you to find more bluffs.
damn thats a heck of a jump up in stakes. nice plays. for the Q9 hand tho, I don't think that player woulda been buying a bluff on the river. your bet bet and no raise on the turn made it look more like you were on the draw.
Ok bet. They got decent card rooms in Colorado that's where I play. Keep doin your thing bro and Makin boss content. Holla if your ever in the mile high city!!
Hey bro I’ve been wanting to try 5/10 for awhile hey besides the money do you think the game play is much different? Is there more bluffing involved or is it more or less ABC poker
Oh shit. Here we go!!! Set of 4’s played fine my man. Played well, ran well always a good combo, go watch your first video and look at that improvement!!!
