In this video we attempt and fail the Stone House Lands Loop.

We pretty much set ourselves up for failure by starting too late on the first day and also underestimated the slower average speed due to the rough terrain. This resulted in us worrying if we were going to have enough water for the entire loop. We started with a total of 16.5 liters of water and cached 4 gallons of water at mile 74. The next reliable water source is at Goblin Valley State Park at mile 188. All of this led us to bail. It’s a beautiful route and maybe someday we will attempt again.
After finishing early we had time to explore Black Dragon Canyon and Pictographs. When we were walking back to the car we met a guy that was walking into the canyon with his three dogs and said two buddies are getting ready to base jump into the canyon. Of course we were interested in that and went along to see the jump and it was awesome! This is at the end of the video!
