You guys are amazing! I really enjoy that you haven’t turned into an overly “fake” RU-vid travel couple. It’s fun to watch real, genuine people. Keep being awesome.
When our soul merges with the soul of place... it is in that precise moment that life explodes within us in an infinity of emotions. Emotions that give us infinite inner energy, the energy of the gods. Goblin Valley, for me, it's one of those places. Cheers, Domenico.
I think you two are the only couple travel RU-vid channel where you both aren't shirtless and in bikinis the entire time in all your videos haha It's refreshing just to see great commentary, advice, and tips without all the inflated egos! New subscriber!
LOL Kathryn's elephant noise was awesome! Hike looked cool despite the wind and the tacos looked amazing! The sculptures were definitely different. Watermelon is my favorite too!!!!
A scene from the movie Galaxy Quest was filmed there as another planet. I believe it was the spot you referred to as a movie set! We visited in 2020 and fully enjoyed the visit.
Love you guys. So happy you keep going and producing content. I unfollowed a lot of travel channels lately that just gave up, bought a home base, and now only post home videos.
Thank you for sticking with us! We have no plans to stop traveling anytime soon! And we have sooo many awesome adventures planned for the rest of the year 🙌🏼
Loved Goblin Valley State Park!! It was so different and pictures doesn’t do it justice! It’s one of those places you have to see for yourself. Great video!
This is super fun . I took my 1 yr old there and she was super happy playing peek a boo and catch me 😀.. you two brought our lovely memories back. I love to catch your vlogs. Have fun
I've been through Green River many times and while I'm familiar with the national parks in the area, never heard of this place. Incredible place. Thank you for sharing.
Oh man LOL My girls heard you both make the elephant calls and they came running over. We watched that part like 5 times and now they are walking around the house making elephant calls hahahahaha. My oldest paused and said " I need to practice if I'm going to be as good as Kaye"
Great video guys!! Loved that you stopped in Goblin Valley--we missed it on several trips to Utah and when we finally stopped, we were overwhelmed. Cool sculptures in Green River as well. We've missed those on our couple stops in Green River but now we have a reason to return. Know you were in a hurry but there's a cute local museum in town that's also worth a stop if you're into museums.
The outtakes at the end, y’all are too much🤣🤣🤣. And I think your scientific taco research is brilliant, some of the best places that I’ve found for tacos have been in hole in the wall places. Keep up the great content!
I enjoyed this video, too! We had done Goblin on one of our early trips. After our initial visit, we've been back in the area to do the various canyons. Two years ago, we spent a few days in Green River at an Airbnb and explored the San Rafael Swell area. So amazing. My husband wants to go back to see more of that area. Keep having the fun and sharing your videos!
Ah nice! Which canyons? We have heard of Little Wild Horse over there, but since we had done a few, we skipped it this time. The San Rafael Swell looks awesome too!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Several years back we did Little Wild Horse and then on the other side (east) of Rt 24 you take a long gravel road to get to the "Great Gallery". The trip 2 years ago took us to Moonshine Canyon and Colonnade Arch, also on the east side of Rt. 24. The best day in the Swell was taking Buckhorn Wash Rd to the Little Grand Canyon & Wedge Overlook. Taking 70 West from Green River is amazing; the highway goes through the Swell; there's a viewpoint called Spotted Wolf that you get an amazing view of Rt 70 through the Swell.
Gorgeous💜My son and I traveled and hiked through here💜we slept in the turn outs in my vanhome and cooked roadside, two different experiences, but yea, WELCOME to Mars
Aghhh my husband and I were in Moab for a week back in mid April and we stopped at Goblin Valley for a few hours and were absolutely amazed! It was such a unique, fun little area! We definitely plan on visiting again and staying overnight because we've heard they have some of the most amazing dark sky views in Utah. Btw I am obsessed with your travel vlogs! You all are our travel goals. My husband and I can't wait to start full time traveling in the next couple years. Can't believe we could've potentially crossed paths out in Utah! Maybe someday down the road our adventures will coincide! Keep it up! You all are awesome!
Ahhh so close! This was mid to late April! And we need to check out the night sky in Utah next time. We were always too tired to stay awake 😅😴 Awesome to hear you’ll get to full time travel soon! 🎉
I've been to Yellowstone, Zions, arches, but Goblin Valley is just my favorite. I adore this park... I hiked all over the place, to the west, there's this amazing valley. Loved that. Galaxy Quest was filmed there.
Your elephant sound was JUST LIKE DAD’s!!! You nailed it! 😁 OMGOSH, Adam made me laugh so hard when he said Jerminie, Her-Hynie!!! 🤣 The HooDoo, Goblin formations initially reminded me of chocolate Frosty globs!!! I saw lots of funny faces in them too! That dessert looked SO YUMMY! 😋 and so did the tacos and quesadilla!!! Great job guys❣️ And thanks for having sweet, adorable Konie appear❣️
Wow, interesting sculptures! I'm putting Green River on the list to visit when in Utah. My son loves watermelon. 🍉 September month has been noted. Thank you for all the info! Not skipping any ads. 😊 I appreciate you guys. 💝
It was such a random and fun stop, we love finding things that are unexpected like that. And if you get the watermelon, let us know if it's the best in the world!
Watching your video and seeing the Taco place at the old Shell station. Awesome, we ate there a couple weeks ago on our way to Canyonland. Could almost taste it!
They grow all types of melons in the Green River area, all are very good, we have stopped a number of times to "melon up" on our way to our annual trip to Moab. We are usually there in Sept or Oct.
*****! Those are stars! You guys are great. I did Goblin Valley years ago. Only slides stored in boxes in Idaho such fancy equipment. Trying to find some good Mexican food here in Chiang Mai,
Awesome! So glad you were able to stop there! One of our favorite trips in recent memory. Isn't it wild? Such a unique and strange place. We saw someone else recently stop at those sculptures and are sad that we missed out. Didn't venture out to the Green River area... stuck mostly to Hanksville for ice/wood and such when camping at Goblin Valley. Perhaps next time. 😅 So much more of Utah to explore!
Hello Adventurers😊😊, Goblin is a really cool place to explore. Did you feel like your on Mars or some other planet? Oh WOW, those tacos looked soooo good! The gooouy cheese and meat in those tacos...i just wanted to somehow disappear and arrive at your table to eat those tacos with y'all in Green River! I see that you found a cool BLM camp near Moab. I REALLY love Moab! I can't we to see what's next in Moab. Great video👍👍👍!
@@AdventuresofAplusK love the channel, just started watching some of the videos, we hope to emulate some of it. We are just getting going on ours and can't wait to get out west for some trips. Thank you for the great inspiration and of course the taco reviews lol my wife is a mexican food junkie
So cool! I enjoyed coming along for the ride as always! Your video technique is so good! Utah is definitely one of the top items on my list of places to visit! Being warned about the tacos was nice cause I got some from Local Cantina! I can't wait to see where you go next!!!!
I’m watching this with my wife in January. Y’all are making me miss it so much. Can’t wait to get back there! Would you say your tacos were better at Green River or back in your previous episode at Magnolias between Bryce and Capitol Reef?
Haha the bloopers at the end! Love the dance moves at the end too 😂 By the way, wanted to share that I wrapped up my road trip in Utah with my van last week. Your videos and your blog posts really helped me map out what I wanted to do, you were my personal Utah tour guides! Thank you 🗺 🧳🤍✨
This was a great video, I loved seeing goblin valley again. I was going to hike the lair as well back in August, but it was over 100 degrees and my friend ended up getting sick, so needless to say we went back into the air conditioning instead of doing the hike. It’s been really fun seeing your Utah adventures!
I enjoy your videos from this part of Utah. We are heading there in a month and will be stopping at all the places you have been highlighting. Your tips on where to eat are perfect. We may not hike as far as you guys have in some places(Needles) but look forward to exploring with our dog Honey. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us! We can't wait to go!
We’re so glad we could help! Even though the national parks aren’t dog friendly there’s still lots of dog friends spots in Utah. We hope you have a great trip!
What a fun video! I always see Goblin Valley mentioned on lists of places to see in Utah. I have seen a few photos but never watched a video of it. Great job showing the park and what a cool place. I was really able to grasp the depth and breadth of the place. We will be traveling between Bryce and Moab next year for the last leg of our planned vacation. I was thinking about hitting this park….but I think I am going to skip it. There is just too much to see and I don’t know if I would have the restraint to skip it. First it will be let’s drive Route 12, then let’s stop in Grand Staircase, and then let’s visit Capitol Reef. Just need to save it for another time. We love to stop at the “World’s Largest” attractions too. They are always a fun quick stop. I have to mention the creepiest roadside attraction I have ever seen. We stayed in Tonopah, NV this summer and they have the Clown Motel. I will let you look that up and have nightmares.
There is a TON to see on that drive, definitely an area you have to have restraint if low on time! Goblin Valley is a great stop if you have time someday. The price is a bit high to get in, so being able to enjoy it is key to get your money's worth. But it feels like another planet, maybe even more so than anywhere else we went to in Utah! Oh gosh hahah that motel sounds terrifying!
that was probably my favorite video you've done so far! I have to get my son and his wife to see this one. They named their cat Fib after the artist you mentioned! :)
Love the music choice on this one! Very relaxing. My kids would absolutely love to check out Goblin State Park. And that was an awesome elephant impression! :) Also, TOO MUCH CHEESE? Come on people...when will they learn?
So glad you like the music! Music has become very challenging for us lately, so we appreciate it! And thanks for the elephant impression compliment, I am glad I still had it in me haha. And right?! What the heck is TOO MUCH CHEESE?
Oohh dear.. we need to spent few months in Utah..To check out all the wonders.. Utah is so beautiful. But Washington also 😉. Currently we are exploring WA.. Will do Utah sometime.
I’m new to your channel and I will say I have binge watched all your videos. I love you guys and thanks for being so detailed on everything. My husband and I are planning to do van life and we are making a list of places to go to and your videos have helped so so much. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for watching them, especially the early ones (cringe 😬)! We are so glad that the videos are helpful and excited to hear you want to do van life!
Goblin Valley State Park was awesome. I think that I would need to stick a couple big googly eyes on some just to photograph. Just for fun and only temporaily...
So when Kona makes an appearance, does she get a cut of the $$, or does free room and board cover it? ALSO: KATHRYN FAMILY REUNION (years ago): Kathryn's Uncle (uh....) Bill: "Hey, Jim, do The Elephant!" (laughter from group, shouts of encouragement) Kathryn's Mom (hand to forehead): "Oh, God, don't encourage him." Kathryn's Dad "Jim" (stands): "OK, here we go...." (makes sound, gestures to simulate his "trunk") (big laughter from aunts, uncles, cousins, Kathryn, and the black sheep of the family who was invited because Kathryn's Mom is too nice but no one wanted him to show up) Kathryn's Uncle "Bill": "Hey, Jim, who told you yours was that big?" Kathryn's Mom (shakes her head, hand still on forehead): "It isn't, but I married him anyway!" (even bigger laughter) Kathryn: "Ha ha! One day I'll share this with the whole WORLD!"
Considering she went to a 7 week board and train program a couple years ago that cost as much as a semester of college, she needs to pull more weight around here 😂 Hahahaha love the family reunion. That would've been hilarious and crazy if my dad was Jim and my uncle was Bill! Lol! But my mom is very nice, so that part is 100% accurate.
So late to the party but work is insane at the moment 😵 Goblin Valley State Park looks amazing.😲😲 We turned off the main road headed for it at lunch time driving between Capitol Reef and Moab, not knowing what was there. After driving for a while and not knowing how long the detour would be and whether it was worth the extra unknown drive time (no phone signal), we decided to turn around. After watching this, I feel like we made a very poor life choice on that day!!! When we got to our AirBnB in Moab, our host asked if we'd visited the state park and on saying no, he did say we'd missed out but didn't give further specifics! 🤦♀️ Your video gave me further specifics 😔 The geology is stunning though ❤️❤️ just gives the perfect excuse to return!
Oh no!!! It’s very remote out there and the goblins don’t emerge until you’re basically in the park, so I totally understand the choice to turn around. We missed a lot in Utah too, it’s so hard to see it all, but it’s nice to have a reason to go back!
@@AdventuresofAplusK They not only have watermelon but also Honey dew, Cantaloupe , yellow watermelon, just the perfect climate, sandy soil and cool nights hot sunny clear days for growing season.
Seeing the great Goblin valley after Galaxy Quest (1999). Thank you sir for showing this.Just one suggestion sir , consider having some drone shots of these scenic places. Your Boise Idaho food trail was just awesome. As a fan of Napoleon Dynamite I always wanted to visit US and states of Idaho and Montana. Hopefully 🔜 Your fan from India .
Unfortunately we can’t always drone due to different laws, but we try to as much as we can! You aren’t allowed to drone at any US National Parks and at many US state parks.
Goblin Valley is pretty cool. You mentioned that it was unworldly and could be a movie set....it was. The Scifi comedy Galaxy Quest (Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver...she also drove off a cliff near Moab in Thelma and Louise) had a scene in Goblin. Looks like you may have camped in the same area I camped on 191 in early Aug (north of Arches)....thankfully the Sprinter a half mile from me wasn't your's (they kept their generator running all night).
@@AdventuresofAplusK ignorance I guess... Ya'll are from here.. We have taco trucks on every corner, so I guess I only go to certain ones because I know them. Seeing hoe there are like, a taco truck at every gas station on Lamar... I gotta think some aren't clean... right? Or like... are they? SCARY!
We feel ya! We tend to eat at the same places over and over back home. We read LOTS of reviews before eating anywhere (which is why we always love the food haha) to make sure it's tasty, clean, and worth the $!
