I love how you can see Walter looking back knowing dang well they was chasing him...lol freedom...he wanted to taste the freedom un aware of the danger...like a human teenager
As a motorcyclist, and I'm sure most would agree, we kinda live for moments like these. Glad this motorcyclist got to go on such an adventure. Glad Walter (who is one of the most beautiful horses I've ever seen btw) got safely reunited with his human.
Walter had the time of his life- it was absolutely beautiful watching him run through the trees. (Obviously I understand there is danger involved) He just wanted to do what felt natural to him…. 💙
@@MichaelErnest666 ok well if that were true then the horse would be in a panic 24 7. Which obviously it isn't. Something spooked it, hence why it threw the rider off.
It definitely did seem like he wanted to play. He probably saw the motorcycle and said "oooh, friend" and went on full race until he noticed "mom" riding at the back 😁
Horses get into a truly blind panic in unfamiliar territory especially if they’ve inadvertently unseated their rider. I’ve ridden all my life. My horses would never recognize me on a motorized vehicle. They have very different eyesight than we do and a different way of focusing. He may have been listening for her but couldn’t hear her over the motor. Horses, evolutionarily, are prey animals and horses bonded with their owners are more likely to panic when not having them to guide them in an unfamiliar place, best guidance, being on his back at this point. Horses spook over plastic bags, turkeys, sounds all the time and their natural response is flight.
@@TheTempest66 and when owner was running behind before motor vehicle came? When the biker kept his vehicle in front of the horse & the owner got out of it & stood in the road?
Walter, the beautiful Haflinger, just making sure his Mem gets in her cardio for the day😂. Kudos to the kind stranger who helped, she was not going to catch him easily on foot!
@@carriefranklin971 There is no way you saw the entire chase. You just tap the horse lightly to let him know which direction you want when you are not using verbal commands.
I wouldn’t care how young/old/handsome/ugly/tall/short my knight was. If he’d saved my precious soulmate from any harm or suffering or anyone else in the process, I would be not only eternally grateful but I would love him until the end of time. ❤️
Thanks to the kind gentlemen on his motorbike! Obviously, he's familiar with horses and used horsespeak that Walter is no doubt familiar with! So, proud of my Dutch compatriots here and grateful Walter is safe after gallavanting around! 👏 🐎
Yes, we need more people like this in the world. Didn't even hesitate to help the owner, just saw what was needed and took action. Can you imagine the world if we all did this? Just help when needed with no expectations other than to do what God expects us to do.
I was thinking the same! No way she would’ve been able to have known where Walter would’ve gone without this kind gentleman helping! Praise The Lord!!!🙌🏼🙌🏽🙌🏾
Walter is GORGEOUS!!!! I love how he made sure they were chasing him as he was looking back....he knew exactly what he was doing....just getting a little exercise!!! I'm so glad he didn't get hurt...horses have a special place in my heart, I grew up with them!!
@@nadiahristova3527 naw, he was watching them. If he was truly trying to get away, he would have only looked forward and not slowed or stopped, he was letting them catch up. That's why this video is so cute....the horse was, in essence, playing tag.
Walter had a free moment .Thanks to the person for helping the owner get him back . Horses are expensive and running into traffic... It could have ended way worse .
My heart is racing from watching that! I'm so glad Walter did not get hit by a car! Hats off to the motorcyclist who took time to help the owner and Walter
That is a beautiful horse and I am so happy he was caught before a tragic accident happened. He certainly got his exercise and “mom” certainly got her “cardio” for the day. A horse ran out in front of us on a highway and we never saw it until we hit it. Unfortunately, it had to be destroyed and we went to the e r. Very happy the man on the motorcycle was so nice and helpful.
The same thing to my cousin family. Their horse got spooked and ran into the road and was hit by a car. They had to rhe horse down. Very sad for the family. This horse was very lucky to have a "motorcycle angel" looking out for him.
@@ananolastname1605 If you aren't very good in speaking or writing the English language and if you got a terrible translation by computer, it can happen to take the wrong words and you don't recognize it.
@@betula-pendula Exactly. As a first language English speaker, this seemed obvious to me. It has become increasingly common to encounter odd phrasing because of translation, but I don’t mind as I love the diversity of insight and experience it brings. Of course, this is a tragic example.
@@ananolastname1605 "Destroyed" is kind of an old fashioned euphemism. People born before 1940 used it a lot. Before "destroyed" people used the term "mercy killing". Both sound odd when compared to the more modern "euthanized". Even "put down" sounds peculiar to my ear when I compare it to "euthanized".
I think Walter is actually so frightened, in full flight, that he's not perceiving the motorcycle and riders as anything other than one of many threats. But when he gets tired and can't flee as well, and the motorcycle gets ahead, then he recognizes his human. Thank goodness everyone, especially this glorious horse, is OK!
@@-aid4084 Walter was being so fresh! Bad boy! 😊 The traffic was scary though. Interesting that he stayed in the correct lanes. May know that pathway well.
Not meaning to be critical, but watch the horse's posture: Head up, controlled gait, chosen route. And when he stopped he wasn't blowing or sweating. He was having fun. If he was frightened his head would be stretched out, running at up to 45 mph, and he would not have stopped.
That is such a beautiful horse! His face, his mane and tail flowing with the wind, his gait… he almost prances. Such a lovely animal. I’m glad the gentleman on the bike had a camera. Great video.
Motorcycle person you are amazing, not only did you save Walter from physical harm you also save Mom from a broken heart and an empty bank account, you are a blessing in a motorcycle helmet x
@@peterbilt-bo1vy if the horse had gotten physically injured the costs to either get him treatment or potentially euthanize if he was mortally wounded would be very costly. Horses vets are expensive.
The Motorcycle person was clearly in control of the bike and was choosing the safe route, yes he was chasing the horse but still in control and using common sense
Walter just wanted to feel like a horse again and run free! It's sad to think how these beautiful animals are meant to run to their heart's content but can't because they're property. Love Walter!
@@annabelleszellem3274 As a lifelong equestrian, this looks typical of a horse who was spooked by something unfamiliar, tossed his rider without meaning to and got himself into a blind panic. You could see he was settled down to be reunited with his mom. My own horse spooked at a turkey, flew sideways, unseating me and panicked without mom to guide him in strange territory and panicked even more when he couldn’t see me. Motorized vehicles aren’t always a friendly sight for them. I had to catch up with my horse back at the barn where, when he recognized the sight of me he couldn’t get to me fast enough. Also this is a stallion. They have a LOT of energy which sometimes works against them being an easily panicked animal of prey evolutionarily. Owners are too often blamed for the actions of these hyper vigilant animals that we learn to work with as evolutionary predators ourselves. 😊
Horses are like dogs. I imagined him thinking as they got closer and he was speeding up “yay! Chase time!” Thank goodness this had a happy ending. Just gorgeous!
Horses are NOTHING like dogs. Horses are prey animals, dogs are hunters. Chasing this horse just inflamed his "flight" response. They are lucky that no one got hurt. Most Horses will NOT let a motorcycle pull up beside them. They will run into something trying to get away. Don't try this at all. A 1,000 pound horse that is afraid can injure itself AND you very easily.
Walter was out having the time of his life making mom chase him. Glad he was safe and the good neighbour was able to catch up to him. What a chase. Walter is gorgeous and fast. 😁
Being a rider myself, and being sent to the ground with the horse galloping away, I am perfectly aware of the mix of adrenalin, panic, excitement and pursuit of a situation like this. This biker was a real "Deus ex machina", may be sent by God himself. A Great Human Being. I would have been grateful to him for the rest of my life.
Yes, my horse has done this in the past. Very heart wrenching to watch. Especially with all the traffic. Horses are flight animals. This is what they do when they get spooked. But with mine a low and loud " HO, HO! " usually does the trick.
This adorable person has not only saved the horse’s life but as well other’s people lives because a car crash with a running stallion would be a tragedy. It’s like that old sentence says: not all heroes use cape.
🥰🥰 ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE GALLOPING...BUT I DID STAY THINKING, "WHEN WAS THIS BEAUTIFUL CREATURE LAST ABLE TO RUN FREE LIKE THAT"...WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT🥰🥰
LMAOOO Walter took us ALL FOR A RIDE!!! I'm so glad everybody is okay and that it turned out alright. When he started trotting and looking back like "NEENER NEENER! 😝" I squealed lol
Man, Walter just want to run around the city, his feet felt tingly to do that. I could see it in his eyes everytime you encountered him. He felt awesome with the wind blowing his hair.
That has got to be one of the most beautiful horses I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure if it was just that you don’t usually see horses in a full gallop, but wow he looked really beautiful running, even if it was stressful
Loved the happy ending but did anyone else notice the amazing scenery. What a beautiful place. I totally understand why she would ride her lovely horse there. A thousand high fives for the motorcycle for helping. Great job sir.
It could be a sad ending too. I think the owner doesn't treat him well. And that's why he was running away faster when chased by the owner. Animals cannot speak but their behavior tells everything.
@@stadtjer689 No? Literally most of the Netherlands looks like this. I'm from Germany. We visit the Netherlands like 3-4 times a year, every time another place or city.
@@90ritesh90 The horse just ran through traffic which would be terrifying for any animal and it's also seeing a motorbike chasing it. I think it continuing to run isn't that alarming given the situation and I don't know a lot about horses but that looks like a well cared for horse to me. He calmed down the moment his owner was there.
Lucky that Walter wasn't injured !! What a very striking horse🐴 and with such a beautiful blond mane ! The man on the motorbike was a real gem ! He made so many attempts to reunite Walter and his " mom". This was a tense situation because of the potential danger. Walter made some really quick evasive moves ! Also, Walter kept his eyes 👀 on his pursuers to outwit them ! Walter was thinking " I'm living my best horse life now !"🐎😍🤩💖💞🤎💛🐎
@@monicaperez2843 They are a type of large pony. I think they originate from Austria, as there is an Austrian county called Hafling (now part of Tirolia in Northern Italy as it was annexed after WW II). There are still plenty of them in Austria, and they all have the same colour, golden fur with almost white mane and tail. Traditionally they were used by farmers in the mountains as working horses as they are muscular and resistant, although the new type is lighter than the old type due to breeding with Arabian horses. They are still sometimes used to drag logs out of the woods, where heavy machines don't have access to. But mostly they are used for riding and are considered ideal for children because of their small size and patience and good nature (Walter might be an exception, though). There is a breed that might be related, because they have the same white mane, but their fur is chocolate coloured and they are much heavier. They are called Schwarzwalder Kaltblut (Black Forest cold blooded horse). Sad fact: the horses used for Italian horse salami are mainly unwanted Haflinger. 20 years ago I saw a documentary about horse meat and it gave me nightmares. These adorable horses broken and desperate and pleading for their lives ....
Even though I was pretty sure this was going to turn out good, I almost fell off my chair watching. God sent this Man to help at the right time. Pray all three are well and happy.
Yes, what a beautiful creature, especially when it was galloping. The mom is also v beautiful. And THANKS for assisting, what a chase, Mr. motorcyclist . 💖
What an absolutely magnificent horse, he's a real beauty, even though very mischievous in running away🤭❣️🐎✨️ Glad it ended well, what a kind stranger, and a lifesaver !!
