@@natereinhold6180 for a bike like that to start up no issues on the very first kick it would have to be warm there's no way those bikes ever get going on first kick and I'm just saying it doesn't really matter I'd rather see a genuine video
She was paying attention when someone taught her how to start a bike nowadays most guys wouldn't even know how to do that they're just used to pushing the button
It's not that hard if the carb is right especially if it's already primed before the video started 3 prime kicks and 3 to start God forbid you hit that compression stroke and it kicks back
Yeah, totally. The springer waist gate was over torking the throttle shutoff valve. I really like the way she modified the coaxial dual master compression chamber feeding the secondary safety tank.....blinker fluid anyone?
I can appreciate the nostalgia of kick starting a Bike. But after having my knee blown to bits by a clearly out of time shovel I was looking at a few years back. it's been 2 separate surgeries , a hinged knee brace daily and a electric start big inch evo ever since.
very sad news She was in a very bad motorcycle accident a week ago a drunk driver hit her she lost her whole right leg and shattered her pelvis and broke her arm she's in hospital in very serious condition she's totally devastated over having her leg amputated that poor girl really needs our prayers 😞 😢 💔
I’m confused Most old carburetor’s like that are either gravity feed style OR they pull a slight vacuum to get the fuel going So. With having said that. Twisting the throttle 5 6 times. Or at all. Does….nothing What you need is a proper choke mechanism
With your lack of weight, strength, and the ability to choose the right riding boots, I suggest you get an electric start model. Just a quick observation…
Nice shovel , old school , got the morris magneto , spun oil tank , springer over front end , lets not ignore the invader rear wheel , old school ( JAMMER) cycle products , ( greybeards remember them?) rigid frame sweetness , ladies and gents , this is how bikes were done in the day when being a biker meant building ur own sled , for all those new to the world , this can be described w one word “Class”
I don't know squat about Harleys or choppers, but that wiggly-flexy sidestand just gives me the willies. That said, I'm used to kickstarting Norton twins with their flimsy sidestands, which I'd _never_ rely on for more than parking. I'd never hop around on it like that with the stand deployed. I just get astride and use balance to keep it upright while kicking it through. But 750cc gotta have a lot less oompf than that pair of Milwaukee jugs.
So that may be where my old 76 superglide wound up. I recognize the 6 spoke rear wheel. I still have the 7 spoke for the front. They don't call them choppers for nothing.
Since when was there an accelerator pump on a motorcycle carb? What is she twisting the throttle for if she isnt turning the engine over at the same time.
I still have my '69 Shovelhead...with the kidney case...anyway, starting that thing is like running through a Nasa launch sequence! 4 squirts, choke, prime, kick, prime, 1/4 throttle, kick and we have fire!
