Solomonster reviews the "Bikers, Bombs and Bedlam" episode of Dark Side of the Ring on Johnny K9 a/k/a Brusier Bedlam in Smokey Mountain Wrestling. Includes thoughts on Jim Cornette finding him and wanting to change his name... pinning "Macho Man" Randy Savage in SMW while Savage was still working for WWE... getting involved with organized crime and joining a notorious biker gang... going to prison for his role in bombing a police station and later being charged with a double homicide. This is a wild story and one of the better episodes they've done because you'll learn things you didn't know about the man coming into it.

Would like to see a DSOTR episode on Robert "Jeep" Swenson. Wrestled for WCW as The Final Solution (because that's not a horrible name for a wrestler), roided himself to the gills to the point where he couldn't put on a shirt, get in the shower or climb the stairs, and ended up on playing Bane in the original Batman and Robin movie from 1997 sharing the screen with Schwarzenegger, Clooney and Uma Thurman. Died at 40 from a massive heart attack after years of telling people he needed help getting off the gas

I remember Johnny K-9 on J.O.B. Squad detail as far back WWF Championship and All-Star Wrestling days around early to mid-1986. Gorilla Monsoon would occasionally comment on K-9's unusual ring introduction antics. The last time I remember seeing him in the WWF was a Maple Leaf Gardens match against Sam Houston.

They showed a newspaper headline about the police station bombing that said “Police Say ‘Christmas Miracle’ That No One Killed in Bombing”, (or something similar) so it seems like nobody lost their life in that one.

Solomon missed the part where Bruiser Bedlam's MC buddy said that he could've been that Hogan guy coz he loved the attention. Lol This episode goes to show that some of the toughest guys in real life were the jobbers. Still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Marty Jannety beat an MC Club President.

Having not heard of him before, I cannot tell you how strange it was watching this finding out a lot of this happened in my hometown Hamilton. Like if anything happens, its usually in Toronto which is like a hour drive from Hamilton

Had no idea who this guy was going into this also like last week's episode on FMW deathmatch wrestling it's one of the episodes im least likely to go back and watch i thought the bit on Randy Savage coming down to Smokey mountain wrestling just to put over a guy who was nowhere near a big name/star as him was cool just shows you how generous and selfless Savage was behind the scenes RIP Macho.

The entire time watching this, I kept thinking, would he be an excellent fit for ECW starting up? Since Corny ha to let him go, he could have been a huge win for Heyman early on. Might have gave him steady employment unil the last days when he bounced checks for Taz and such.

Lance Storm is a great talking head for anything wrestling related. He is always thoughtful, free-thinking and offers a great deal of insight. It is a crime that Lance didn't become a big star. But he seems perfectly fine with it.

I think the reason he didn’t become a bigger star is not just because he had a very stoic personality, but also because I’ve heard from Hannibal TV that he is a scumbag in real life

Lance Storm is a bit reserved and has a dry sense of humour - and JBL and Bob Holly didn't like that he spoke the truth - but I have never heard of him being called anything close to a scumbag. In my (very limited) contact with him he has always been perfectly nice.
