This video is the greatest because its just Bilbron doing Bilbron things: -Surrounded by 10 monsters then a Hydra shows up to put the cherry on top? Screw that, force cage. -Ghost cant be persuaded? Screw that, Im taking a short rest anyways. -Oh, you have force movement and invisibility? Screw you, blindsight and immovable object. -Oh, they put an oustside map in here? Screw you, youre coming to me. Also, have fun getting on the roof lol. -You want to interrupt my 2nd short rest? Screw it, I'll gladly fight half your party any day. -The boss is sitting behind cover? Screw it, have a summon dropped in your lap. And lastly... -You only get 2 companions to go in this mission? Screw em, theyre just glorified summons anyways. Laughs in Daolock.
What a great run. I enjoyed this very much. Big fan of your "summoner+ultimate defense" approach ever since the first Molebron video. I'd love to see 1 last battle report of tier 4 molebron kicking ass on the forged concordance
Wow, that was very cool, thanks for sharing your perspective on the encounters, and that gauntlet stress test seems like such a great idea, especially for players like you XD It's really fun to see how you play your chars and hear your thoughts on your tactics and strategies / decision-making process. Glad to see you back, also really nice to see Molebron back too!
A 14th level Diviner Wizard casts Etherealness and bypasses the speed bump guards by dashing to the Mindflayer. Cast Disintegrate (average of 75 hp damage) with a low Portent number for its save and that is Game Over.
I very much was waiting for this analysis. I love your spell and ability deep dives. I have learned a ton and how spells I'm already using could be even more effective.
Congratulations! It was a great win. It was clear you had already watched the gauntlet beforehand when you precasted underwater breathing to counter the warer wyrds and immovable object to counter the poltergeists.
I cast the only 3 spells I was capable of precasting, and only one of them had much impact... I take offense to the idea that I metagamed. If you have Water Breathing, you cast it every day, full stop. If you have permanent effects, you have them everyday, full stop.
Was a cool run for sure, sometimes optimal builds you dont know how to fully run aren't quite as good as something you have played and know by heart, pretty cool (not to say the build is weak, it's pretty sweet.)
When I heard you had some Prep Time, I was like that's so Bilbron. It's Over for them. Big Mistake, you might have been able to beat Bilbron with no Prep Time, but, Him with Prep, no chance of winning. Molebron is like Level 17 now or something, we haven't seen him in action since he was like 12 or something. Seeing him here was great.
the playstyle was very unfamiliar to me so I had a lot of difficulty following the video the first time. However after being introduced to you and your videos I am starting to appreciate the incredible value of the foundations and staples of your tactics. Very clever use of rarely seen spells, and deep knowledge of some underrated spells. I'll have to rethink everything with my characters when it comes to summons, obscurement, and cover now.
I'm going to reinforce Bilbron's suggestion to watch the CMCC videos of his gauntlet run, instead of just relying on this recap, because the soundbites of his RP from the game are entertaining.
Hello, great build and channel and congratulations on overcoming The Gauntlet! I noticed that your build is altered from your original build video for Molebron. Are these changes specifically tailored for The Gauntlet, or has the build changed since then? I'm wanting to try your build in an upcoming campaign and am wondering which version you prefer. Also, what are your thoughts on a dip in Divine Sorcerer (starting as a sorcerer and the rest warlock)? Love your content, have a great day.
I have to ask, have you had a look at Baldur's Gate 3? With how incredible you are at tactical combat, I feel like you'd be able to pull off some insane stuff, especially bc you'd have everyone under your control.
You couldn't cast Tiny Servant but you could have cast Animate Object for a similar result. Animate Object doesn't last as long and the Objects are probably less versatile but they are individually more powerful.
