My mom passed from bile duct cancer Oct 23 ...very aggressive we found out thru liver biopsy it was stage 4 spread to lungs ,adrenal glands,colon was told there was nothing that coukd be done 11 days later passed away everything happened so fast even thou she was in the hospital 18days took 7 for biopsy report to come back it's almost a year and I still can believe sometimes it all happened so fast the main blessing was she wasn't in pain and they don't know why but I'm blessed for that because seeing the rest of it was too much

@susanyamich527 I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Losing your mother to such an aggressive form of cancer is incredibly painful, and the speed at which everything happened must have been overwhelming. It's understandable that you're still processing the shock and grief, even a year later. The fact that she wasn't in pain during her final days is indeed a small blessing amidst the heartbreak. Grief is a complex journey, and it's okay to still feel disbelief and sorrow. Surround yourself with support and take care of yourself as you continue to navigate this difficult time. My thoughts are with you.

My ex husband was diagnosed with what they think is bile duct cancer. They did not do an endoscopy and even though a PET was paid for out of pocket there was still no indication of where the cancer is. He has adenocarcinoma and is getting ascites drainage and will start chemo with immunotherapy soon. He has no jaundice but his albumin is at 25 and has slight anemia. I hope he is getting the appropriate treatment.

My 76 year old father is currently fighting bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma). He was diagnosed in 2021. He went through radiation and chemotherapy in pill form. Now, he is undergoing chemotherapy through a chemo port and immunotherapy ( durvalumab), which was FDA approved in the U.S. in September 2022. His treatment includes, Durvalumab plus Gemcitabine and Cisplatin. I hope this is the answer to beating it. I read of two success stories so far. I wish you strength, courage, may be you fully heal and be cancer free! UPDATE: August 21, 2023, my dad lost his battle against Cholangiocarcinoma. The chemotherapy was too strong for his body. Oncologists ordered labs for blood work and base on the results, the oncologist decided not to administer the full amount of chemotherapy. However, it still was too much for his body to handle...🥺

My Father Had a Bile Duct Cancer And His Tumor Mark Is 180 And He Was Still In The Hospital Yet His Eyes Is Yellow And His Skin Is Yellow Too And His Stool Is Black And Urine Is Too Much Yellow his Billirubine Is 435 And His Hemoglobin Is 9.5 So Is It Necessary To Out Drain First To Drain The Bile Please Guide Me With This
@MedicalCentric
@MedicalCentric 2 месяца назад
I'm sorry to hear about your father's condition. The symptoms you're describing, such as yellowing of the eyes and skin (jaundice), black stool, and dark urine, are typical of bile duct obstruction, which can occur with bile duct cancer. The elevated bilirubin levels and the tumor marker, along with low hemoglobin, suggest that his condition is serious and requires urgent medical attention. Draining the bile (biliary drainage) is often necessary in cases like this to relieve the obstruction, reduce bilirubin levels, and improve symptoms like jaundice. This procedure can be done using a stent, catheter, or surgery depending on the specific circumstances. It's crucial to consult with his healthcare team as soon as possible to discuss the best course of action, as they can provide the most accurate guidance based on his overall health and specific situation.

@MedicalCentric
@MedicalCentric Месяц назад
@user-jd1zb6cr9d Hives, or urticaria, are usually caused by an allergic reaction, stress, or other triggers like infections or medications. While diabetes itself is not a direct cause of hives, it’s important to consider that people with chronic conditions like diabetes may have a higher likelihood of experiencing various skin issues. If you suspect a connection between your symptoms and diabetes or have concerns about your health, consulting with a healthcare provider is the best approach to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.
