This is part 3 of a 3 part series about installing bilge pumps in a Lagoon 38. In this part I show how I did the wiring. Hopefully these videos will prove useful for anyone installing a pump in their boat. In parts 1 and 2 I showed how to mount the pump and how to run hoses. Although you may not being do a project just like this I try to show how to do basic things like running wires and hoses. Hopefully these videos will prove useful for anyone working on their boat.Comments and suggestions are welcome!

A 12 AWG will loose 36% less power over a given distance than a 14 AWG. Good point with regards to voltage drop and wiring, but a good practice to diminish electrical noise in communication systems. Labeling is a always a task that is neglected but is very important. I too snip the ends off tywraps. I have acquired a 29 foot Bristol which is in need of lots of repair due to years of neglect, so your videos are a very welcome resource.

How do you get that liquid tape goop off the terminal block if you ever need to change something out? Seemed unnecessary to me - that area should be dry 99.9% of the time (only would be wet if the bilge pump fails or some water is spilled from above).

+Patrick Davin Water get sloshed around and condensation in the bilges can be a problem as well. It is easy to remove and reinstall the connectors after the liquid tape has been applied then you re-coat, it is easy. Thanks for the question and thoughts

Lol I will keep that in mind I am still working on finding the right mix of things with these. I certainly do not want to put anyone to sleep! I am trying to do better and comments help. Thanks again

hello good video fyi google allows you to add advertisement on your video as of last July and you get paid that way .. I did not notice any advertisement .. just go to create studio agree with monetization agreement and resave the video with ad good luck

If only it were that easy. For some reason google has banned me for their advertising program. It's all up to their robots so no fighting it.
