I was introduced to this talented man in a show called Black Books... He out shown the other star Dylan Moran by quite a bit in my mind... so glad I watched that show.

People like Stephen Fry, Ricky Gervais or Bill Bailey have truly restored my belief in comedy. Instead of primitive, swearword-ridden stream of not-too-funny ramblings there's a profound, occasionally swearword-ridden exploration of the vagaries of human psychology and language. Bill Bailey makes particularly good use of his tremendous musical talent, which makes it even more entertaining. But it's not the gee-that-was-a-tough-week-better-drown-its-memories-in-a-lake-of-booze kind of entertainment. Rather one of the let's-serve-the-neocortex-with-a-delicious-meal-of-irony-with-a-side-of-eloquence-stir-fried-on-a-deadpan variety.
That's how it tends to work with comedians. You pick your best jokes from your long sets and use them in your short sets. The trick is to make the material look like it's new every time.

It's not surprising at all that he'd use the same jokes here. When a comedian does a tour, they won't write new stuff for every performance - the purpose isn't to have the same people watch you every night, that's why it's a tour. For the same reason, you won't get a band writing new songs for every performance.
There's a picture on line of John and Yoko standing up to allow the hotel maid service to make up the bed for them..... I can't even begin to explain how that makes me feel ?!!!!!?
You gotta remember the brilliant John was totally under the spell of that mad woman. It happens. It could just as easily be a woman under a mad bloke's influence.
@ripdbtpoo1441 Are you really sure YOKO WAS A WOMAN ?!!!! I saw some of that documentary about the beetles and they showed a close up of Yoko without makeup. I'm pretty sure she's a dude !!!! ( remember, homosexuality was illegal back then in most states) and if you look at the nude pictures of John and yoko . From behind, she had a guy's BUTT !!!! I think the real riff between Paul and Yoko was because Paul knew she was a guy . And he was homophobic. Listen to the lyrics of the song GET BACK .

There was a guy below complaining about how Bill has no new material. Well . . . I have to say that I eventually got very tired of his "I'm Aled Jones" joke, and just when I was tired of it, he brought it back in a funny, subtle way in Tinselworm. That's not my point, though. Very few people complain about musicians playing the same songs, so why complain about comedians doing the same material. I'd love to see some of these people get up there and do this, it's really difficult.
People leave funny comments on amazon on pages where boxes of Communion wafers are for sale. Someone wrote "I'm a bit concerned that the person buying communion wafers also bought a tube 'Man-Glide' lubricant!"
I do a lot of shopping on Amazon, who tell you what other things people bought when they bought this product, "People who bought Slipknot also bought these knives"
@dotchoo I totally agree, I am a big fan of British comedians and humour, ranging from Jeeves and Wooster, The Young Ones and other 90's comedy series, Bill Bailey is great but dont knock the US comedians, Bill Hicks is one of my favourites as well as George Carlin & Richard Pryor....another notable mention is Mitch Hedburg.
I love Bill Bailey. I don't see how or why anyone has any right to disagree so vehemently. Comedy is pretty subjective and if you don't like him then A) stop watching his videos, B) Stop harrassing others who watch his videos and like it. No one cares about your opinion, contrary to your beliefs. Buzz off and go watch some Dane Cook.
