I’m from Nebraska. We have a shooting almost every week on the north side of the city I live in. Gas stations get robbed everyday and we have quite a few different gangs here. I think today, it’s safe to assume that you’ll find that kind of stuff in any major metropolitan area regardless of what state you’re in. There’s a common misconception that the only thing here are corn farms when in reality, we’re ranked 3rd behind Iowa and Illinois for corn production. In high school, foreign exchange students would tell me that before they arrived here, they thought we all rode around in buggies pulled by horses and basically described the Amish lol. They were shocked when they realized they were going to be going to school in a big city rather than some farm town in the sticks.

My grandmother was born in Nebraska in 1899. She was the second woman to graduate from the University of Nebraska. Her older sister was the first woman to do so. Their parents were dead. Tough people.

To answer a couple of the questions you asked yourself while watching. the Oprah Winfrey show used to be like the Jerry Springer show when she first started. for the first four or five years she really was like Jerry Springer it was always some type of like Maury Povich type topic. It was only after her demographics went up and she actually started making some money to where she could make her own decisions on where the show went did it turn into the Oprah Winfrey show. Now as far as that cartoon that you saw towards the end of the bed, that's from Netflix it's Bill Burr's cartoon show loosely based off of his childhood from back in the '70s. It's called F is for Family. he helps do some of the company writing it's affiliated with Vince Vaughn the other comedian and actor, Peter Billingsley the guy that played ralphie in the Christmas Story. It's honestly a really really funny show they're half hour shows and I think they're up to season four I think they're going to do season five and call it a day. Just thought I'd drop a little knowledge your direction, and I absolutely adore your laugh it's hilarious. Great reaction and I'll see you in the next clip. ;-)

The bit about Oprah and Lance Armstrong had missing context, so it's hard to get the reference if you don't know who "Lance" is. He's talking about Lance Armstrong coming on Oprah to talk about his doping scandal. And I fondly remember the first seasons of Oprah. They were completely bonkers, very much like Jerry Springer.
