These edits are unbelievable. Because Bill always mentions very specific characteristics in his jokes for you to be able to pull up exactly what he's talkin about is awesome.
I live in the hood of Fresno. One day my gf and I were at a traffic light and a girl pulled up next to us listening to MMPC and I shouted “bill burr!” And she turned and smile and made a right and drove off. Pretty good feeling knowing Fresno here has a strong bill burr appreciation
I'm like an hour from Fresno. Me and my brother were at that show where the guy said "do not go down there!" 🤣 I still remember Bill laughed his ass off and told the guy "you said that like you were my dad" 😂
Bill, Thank you.. You're the first famous person I've ever heard give Fresno a fair shake... I grew up in Fresno.. Left for a job in Seattle but would live there again in a heartbeat.. Celebrities generally drive through on I-5 then sneer at Fresno as being run down and poor... I-5 runs through the ancient southern edge of the city.. An industrial area... Turn off I-5 and head north and you'll find a different Fresno.. You'll see the city change to working middle class, to solid middle class to upper middle class... The Northside, Northeast and Clovis are nicer and cleaner and safer than anyplace I've seen in the Seattle/Tacoma area.. Does Fresno have some problems? Sure... Where doesnt...? Some neighborhoods arent safe to go into as an outsider... There's homelessness. There's drugs.. but nothing like the big California cities... On the other hand Fresno has a really diverse population... Whites, Blacks, Latinos, Asians, Middle Eastern, Armenians and more..All those people that migrated to the valley a hundred years ago to grow fruits and vegetables... and doesnt seem to be a lot of friction between them.. And of course it seems like every group is represented by dozens of excellent mom and pop little restaurants... There's some great eatin in Fresno. Too bad you ate at Chili's .. you missed out on some much better places.. Anyway, enough rambling.. Thanks for giving Fresno a fair shake.
Seriously! When he said Chili's I just pictured the one at Fresno and Herndon and was like "Bill...no...you were *right* by RiverPark and such better options!"
@@jakeholmes9416 I’ve been here my whole life and I really like the area I live in now (Champlain and Perrin) but I’ve lived on the southern side as well and it’s rough down there for sure. I love my home but the heat is the only reason I ever think about moving away in the future
I would imagine 6 AM is no safer than any other time of the day. I live on the east coast but when I was strung out I’d wake up sick at 5 in the morning, drive up to Baltimore and people are already out on the corners. That is actually prime time for where the money is, junkies are lined up.
No that's not true when I used to do retail appraisal. I'd do my ghetto ones in the morning almost nobody's up at 7-9 Most of those people don't get up early half don't work and the crackheads and junkies have turned it in. Us they see a white guy dressed kinda nice they think you're the cops..At least in Milwaukee it's like that.
I worked in a famous housing projects in new York. Arrived to clock in at 7:30 am. There was a shooting roughly 20 minutes before I arrived in the area
I've always thought of Fresno, Stockton and Bakersfield as the G-League of California big cities. One step below Sacramento. All the crime, but none of the actual opportunities a metro area provides.... Nice for Bill to talk about these cities before the 5 was built. The 99 went through all those nowhere towns...
Not that simple. This is the second time editing and uploading this. The other one had a shit ton of views and was super fubby as well. Not sure why he did this.
He blows every outro on his videos with some horrid rap song, if your going to put in rap (that doesn't even fit to begin with) put in something good ffs.
@@dannygreen5477 Obviously he thinks it's good, or he wouldn't put it in. But you're right, he should put in something that you like. Then we wouldn't have had to read your dumb ass comment.
I have lived in Fresno for the last 20 years, moved here from Richmond, CA. This place ain't anywhere near as bad as the Rich was. Nowadays, the gangbangers are all in thier fourties you can briskley jog away and not be jumped. Most of them that I have run into don't care about the shit much anymore. The biggest issue I see here is homeless, the shit gets worse everyday it seems. Heroin use is also starting to pick way up out here, went from never seeing needles on the streets, to your gonna find one every other day or so. Not sure how old this is, but gangs aren't the real problem out here.
Yeah the last time I was there you would still see the old G's hanging out but they look tired, worn out, on dialysis probably. In the 90's and early 2000's it was really bad. Bad enough to leave it.
LMAO...raised in Fresno (after moving from Oakland in 1985) my entire childhood. Lived in West Fresno in the late 80s which is most notorious to those who have never actually BEEN there. But grew up in the north central area (Ashlan between First and Millbrook). There's absolutely some rough spots, but it's not nearly the concrete Vietnam it is made out to be. I've never felt unsafe walking around. Pockets of southeast Fresno, the area called Sin City near Fresno State...you kinda just knew to stay away but otherwise, it's not like the bangers just went around messing with everybody. The city is much more spread out than other places with crime/gang issues so you have to work HARD to have it affect you personally.
That’s what’s up bro. I’m currently on willow and shaw. Born and raised. I agree with all u said. Fellow employee and myself say thing about Fresno vs the elite big cities is that although u know where the hoods or bad areas r the city is so integrated that u don’t have to b on the west side to get hurt or killed. Could happen at river park smh. Even worse as I assume u already know is the various shootings that have taken place inside fashion fair mall, that’s crazy to me. Anywayz b blessed bro
I was staying near Fresno State when I was in highschool that's nowhere near the worst part of Fresno ... I will say this tho ... When I left Fresno the weirdest shit was the idea that I could drive to a different part of town and know nothing was gonna happen I thought everywhere was as unpredictable and random as Fresno I was used to always being on guard waiting for shit to pop off
I used to know guys in their 30s/40s who lived 25 min from the ocean and never saw it. All of them lived and died brutally on their block. Super sad. I took one dude to the ocean. He was 40 and lived in Oakland. He was a rough dude who would deal on my front stupe. We were cool though. Life is crazy
Gangs made sense in ethnic community that where underserved and ignored by the WASP elite who controlled the country in the 19th century…but your right, now they’re stupid…Cartels and other organized criminals organizations make more sense than gangs…i mean they’re basically evil and inhumane, but they make money, which from a completely logical, emotionally detached standpoint, make more sense than these streets gangs which are basically full of low iq antisocial, borderline retarded imbeciles…who’s biggest racket is selling drugs…and even that they’re probably, for the most part making a small profit, except for the one guy who goes and gets the drugs, he’s probably the only one who really makes any money
The ending of the song of "Had a good day." By Ice Cube. He said "wait hold on, what the fuck am I talking about?" there's no good day, just good times in the hood.
Having lived in Fresno for a couple years and living an hour away, I’ve heard about bad things happening in Fresno but it’s not the Detroit that everyone makes it out to be
Man, this vid was fucking hilarious!😂👏 I'm a fan of Burr but never heard him talk about gangs or anything gang related, this was definitely humor to listen to.
@@keithbentley6081 facts. Send them to a deserted island off the coast of Papua New Guinea. Let them build a raft out of scraps and sail to land, see human and get eaten for dinner. See how fun the gang life is then.
Sorta. The conceptualization, actualization, standards, necessary criteria, caveats, et al.....of organized crime down to petty gangs isn't all that stupid initially. Now though, yet it's becoming pretty retarded.
Usually it pisses me off when people just slap someone else’s content down as their own but you made a nice little montage. So heck yeh, bill would be proud.
Im from Hanford but I do have alot of "Friends" from FRESNO..one Thing is I Will Say Is They Don't Jus Do they thang To civilians, But If U Act or dress a certain way, or even Be a some What Disrespectful...They Gone get on u and Hurt u!! Fresno ain't a joke they will Dogg walk ya ass..And that jus speaking from Who ain't from there but They show love also its all depends on how u act...Let's not act like Fresno ain't As ..who they are..Jus respect they city n they do same tbh
Exactly, it’s weird the way people in the comments talk like you’re going to get shot at just for visiting a gang city. I’ve walked around nearly every neighborhood of Fresno and the only part that seems legitimately sketchy is the area around the intersection of Fresno and Belmont and maybe some of the Manchester area, but even then only at night and only on foot. Most these square bears are just scared of poor people Ironically the part of Fresno that actually has the most gang violence is the area around Shaw and Marks which looks and seems completely safe if you didn’t know any better. It’s definitely more active than the area around the Fresno sign which is mostly empty industrial space
@@FPOAK Maybe it's that way now but it wasn't like that before. That was the problem. It wasn't just gang on gang - in fact out of all the cities I've been to Fresno seemed the most full of gangsters just looking to start trouble and act out their violent fantasies. On top of that, think about it for a second - why do I have to walk around my town "respecting" gang members? I should just be able to be me however I am without worrying that I'll offend some touchy gang member?. I shouldn't have to walk my streets like I'm in prison. Your brain has been warped.
I've lived here my whole life. It's a great town especially in the north side towards friant. There's poverty in every city but fresno just gets a bad rap for it and drug use. But man ill most likely die here. It's my home. #559
The level of humor and actual truth in what Bill says in his rants and improvised bits is so on point even if it’s on the fly. A true master and genuine of his craft. Great editing too.
Fuck I love Bill Burr bruh. He’s the white Chappelle for me. His comedy is the truth wrapped in laughs. The first comedian I can listen to without actually seeing his face and body. Just his voice is enough to make me cry laughing lol.
I lived in fresno for the last 15 years and I'm 25 now. It's good here tbh, just like anywhere else if you are in a ghetto then you're in the ghetto. It's a good place tbh only thing is the heat and the air quality
The best part is at the end when he plugs his show at San Manuel casino in the IE . (San Bernardino) where it's always crackin, and they don't have a cool city sign.
Pearl Jam, who sells out every show everywhere, played there over the summer, you couldn’t give tickets away. Seats that sold for $10K in NYC couldn’t sell for $200 in Fresno.
