you are all reading way to much into this interview. I don't see anything at all with what Dan did. If it was so condescending burr would have picked up on that and not came back but he did.
Dan Patrick is use to talking to idiot sports stars, I lost a lot of respect for him with this interview as a sports fan myself. Burr handled it with class.
+Greg Sanchez I would have thought that it might be refreshing. Although the states is obviously a massive country, and there must be hundreds if not thousands of stand up comedians, from listening to Bill and others it seems like quite a small community. If you've been at it as long as Bill Burr you are likely to played at the same places or have met other comics that appeared with most of the other comics. This is just my impression as a Brit. If i'm mistaken, tell me to go fuck myself. I love English humour but American stand up is the fuckin best.
Dan, my dad's a huge fan and I've spent hundreds of dollars over the years on your merchandise for him. I have seen your show countless times and have never seen you act so arrogant towards a guest. Is there someone in your ear telling you to control the convo or what? At least act like you've been there before... you've been doing this for over 20 years now, and you let a hung over Bill Burr make you look like a bully, just to control the conversation?
The big misconception about the Brady Sherman Feud a few years ago is that Sherman was the dick in the situation. Brady was the one that actually went up to Sherman and Earl Thomas before the game and started talking shit about how they're nothin and they're there nobody's and said "Come to me after after we win this game" then Sherman did after the Seattle Seahawks won the game. Then all the sudden Richard Sherman's the dick when Tom Brady was the one who started it all. People need to stop pandering to the mainstream players and teams. Brady is a phenomenal player however, he can be a bit of a cut like the rest of us like he was during the Sherman Brady feud.
D Lakland that isn't a misconception. It was Brady talking smack like always. It wasn't like he was wrong. Which was Browner's words about it not mine. Going up to his face to brag about it isn't what people liked and that's exactly what Burr said.
The media didn't even mention the fact that Brady randomly went up to Sherman and started talkin trash. Brady said come up to me after we win and he did. It's just the media protecting their favorite princess.
that was weak. whotF is ,"dan patrick"? he should have guests more in his (little) league. this is just pathetic. one of his own guys asked a good question (on Phili) and he shut him down and went to commercial. what an overblown nothing.
Dan sucked in this one. Some interviewers aren't very good with banter. Dan might be one. But i think part of it is, he found out Bill was hung over and got pissy because "how dare he go out the night before being on my show and not be at full strength" , like this show is 60 minutes or something. To be completely honest, its a decent show. But Dan has gotten so much sunshine pumped up his ass daily from his "yes men" staff that its hard after all these years to not think he is something special.
Unfortunately Dan isn’t as funny as he thinks he is while sharing a room with a professional. How many Boston questions did he have ready…. I guess it’s a good technique for someone who has never heard of bill.
