Diane leans in to Bill Burr because it gets good views She usually enjoys his stuff, as he is quite a good joker But today her face gave some different cues It’s great for RU-vid, but not so good for poker
Hey keep riding Bill like that, he's bound to cum sooner or later. I agree with a lot of what Bill says but saying everything he says is true is only going to make you whine down the line when he says something eventually that you disagree with. Happens all the time
The eloquence of Bill Burr is unrivaled by today's entertainment and/or political thought leaders. He's like a modern-day Shakespearean character the way he takes us through such epic journeys in such nuanced detail🤣Ok but in all seriousness, Editor Diane is probably my favorite person on YT.
I've said before, history is not here for us to love or hate or try to erase. It exists, there are great moments and individuals and terrible ones. We can learn from past mistakes so we don't repeat them. Or we can ignore what we now know was wrong and repeat the same things over and over.
This is one of my favorite bill burr jokes! 😂 I absolutely love how in your face he can get with his jokes. He makes you take a step back and really think about what you’re told to believe.
When she’s reacting to a video you’ve seen, and you know a crazy part is coming up. Just watching as she goes from laughing to horrified in a split second lol
Horrified by jokes? Pathetic insecure white privileged unfunny female comic right here! Go to a therapist or don't watch/listen then! Pretty easy. You offended weak brainless wimps! Cry babies!
I remember having a conversation with my grandmother (born 1921) about 10-12 years ago. Somehow the topic of men hitting their wives came up. I told her that most men my age (born 1970) and younger consider men who do that to be cowards. She was genuinely surprised. (As far as I know, my grandfather never hit her, or at least never severely.) Some people need to learn or be reminded of how much and how quickly society changed in the last 50-60 years. There are some people now calling for the new James Webb Space Telescope to be renamed. James Webb (1906-1992) was a career bureaucrat, and the most important job he held was the head of NASA in the '60s when the U.S. was working toward landing on the Moon. Previously, he held other jobs in the federal government in the late '40s and early '50s, when it was official policy that all homosexuals be fired from government jobs. Someone asked me what it was that James Webb did that people are upset about. I replied that Webb committed the "crime" of not building a time machine, travelling into the future to learn that mistreating gay people is wrong, returning to his job in his own time, and then single-handedly thwarting the anti-gay policy approved by Presidents Truman and Eisenhower.
That was nice to see a bit longer Editor Diane appearance. That actually merits a colab credit.E.D. would have a lot of work but a debate between Bill and her would go viral.
I think I enjoyed your facial expressions and Editor Diane's input more than the B.B. clip itself LOL (I don't believe, even for a second, that E.D. wouldn't smack someone to help 'em reboot though!) Thanks for the Monday afternoon levity Diane & Co. Cheers!
Yes, everything was so different in the past. I remember when oil was $4 a barrel. that comes to 25 cnts a gallon for gas. Now we pay more than $4 for a gallon of gas. You could hold a door open for a lady without wondering if you are insulting her or tell a woman she is beautiful without backlash.
I like your content because you recognize the norms from different eras. My mom and dad grew up in the 40's and 50's. I grew up in the 70's and 80's. People are trying to cancel Gone with The Wind because they use terms that today would be unthinkable in any conversation. Historic perspective, it's a good thing. If you ever get to Cincinnati, I'll buy you a four-way onion. Thanks,
Gone With The Wind shouldn't be banned but have a warning at the beginning like some of those old Warner Brothers cartoons have like "This is a product of the time and we do not condone these beliefs but this is presented as a historical depiction of society and should not be forgotten." If we erase history then we can not learn from histories mistakes.
Not disagreeing with Editor Diane, but when she came in at 7:44, I was definitely expecting her to follow "different times, times were different" with "...thank you for that brilliant observation, Diane."
Well, that was interesting. I'm not shocked but surprised it came from Diane. I see Editor Diane became Editorial Diane today. Yes, things were different in the past. Heddy Lamar had difficulty getting work in Hollywood because she appeared nude in a movie. Today actors may have trouble getting hired because they won't.
@@DianeJennings Hello from the States Diane. I have to say I agree with you about this so-called joke of Bill Burr's. I've never heard his comedy act and I wasn't bowled over by this introduction to his humor. I didn't laugh at all. I will say I enjoyed your facial expressions at certain points. I've been told this about my expressions: if my mouth don't say it, my face definitely will. I think ED had some good words of wisdom for folks these days and everyone should heed them. Take care and hugs for Chewie and yourself. Btw, good for you for not doing anything that involves nudity.
Bill burr's is a good comedian. Sean connery does make a good james bond. The movie the rock is good too with Sean connery in it. Your reaction videos are the best as always. Happy Vibes Monday and Diane Chewie emojis. 🍀🍫
I love it. Connery says you occasionally slap a woman and you get...CANCEL HIM!!! Women can slap the crap out of a guy...in public...and you get...Dammn...I wonder what he did. Cause equality.
I hope you do realize when he said "she was a victim" he was being sarcastic o-o;;;; He's making fun of people who lean liberal/Democrat/progressive who make excuses for people with a bad history, saying they were a 'victim of their time'. On the other hand, he does have a point though.
Right. I think it’s good to examine the actions of individuals within context and for each of us to decide with our own morality whether or not we want to consume their content.
People in the future are going to look back on us and disagree with everything we say and do. It's just how it is. Times change and so do peoples views and opinions.
The truck driver reference is to a TV show called "BJ and the Bear" that was popular in the US in the late 70s. In the show, the main charcter (plyaed by Greg Evigan) was a handsome 20 something truck driver with a pet Chimpanzee (who provided frequent comedy relief). In teh show he has his own trucking company along with a bunch of hot women including one known as "stacks" because she had such a beautiful body. It was typical 70s "jiggle TV," but is was campy adn fun and entertaining for it's time. I was about 10 years old at the time and never missed the show.
Unfortunately, my dear Editor Diane, women have NOT evolved past the "no hitting" doctrine. There may be just a few out there that is still okay to do. I've ended two relationships due to them thinking like this. They may not be famous enough to be interviewed for a magazine and have a comment or opinion follow them even after they die, but they're out there.
I know this is a bit serious for a comedy clip but I wonder if Women or at least the majority of women will admit that they ,not men , are most responsible for physical violence in a relationship, Men do more damage but women resort to physical violence more , if you doubt what I say there is plenty of independent data to back up my claim . The reason that the spotlight is shone on men is the fact that when men use violence the consequences tend to be more serious or in some cases fatal . Some women have been conditioned to believe that hitting men is acceptable , while most men realise the consequences of losing control are very serious indeed .
The monjj my EY for a friend is BJ and the bear . It was a jiggle show , that my 14 year old memory remembers well. The monkey was the Bear ( Chimpanzee actually)
So let me get this straight. The only people left who have free speech rights are people who lived in their primes during earlier time periods? Fuck that.
if you don't put people in their time period context and try to apply your current morality to them, you are a moron. And yes, age earns then the right to have their opinion based on experience. You new 2 lame generations are so..can't believe you came form the last great generation, Gen X. You could never lick our sneakers. These new generations are so boring, as old people we will complain, but in the opposite direction of previous generations where they thought we were taking things too far, we are gonna be laughing because you all think redbull gives you pep and the only fights you've been in are on a chatboard somewhere. lol
The problem isn't that people point out the wrongs of others past or present, it's that they foolishly lump everyone into stereotypical groups, like white cisgender men, and ascribe unilateral guilt to the whole group, while presuming their own infallibility. They also only allow virtuous benefits, like forgiveness, to be given to their own identity group. That's what's wrong with me too and cancel culture etc. Also, why you gotta be so nasty, Bill?
As I understand it, Connery never advised hitting women. He was asked in an interview if he would *_ever_* hit a woman and he said something like, "I might give her a slap if she was hysterical or being a total bitch." This was immediate fodder for comedians who swung into action portraying him as a violent wife-beater for laughs.
l disagree with bill on one thing he said. Not passing judgement on cocoa. Fine I'll pass judgement on cocoa chanelle. Because there were a lot of women in world war 2 who didn't sympathize with Nazi's. Or buckle they fought against the Nazi's.
The controversial comment was made in an interview I think with Barbra Walters in the late 80’s. I remember that my girlfriend at the time criticized the comment when we saw him say it when it originally aired.
She's a woman! Of course she's going to completely overreact, take jokes literally, then be offended when she, who's a comic, becomes sensitive when someone says what 96%of men are thinking! Jeeeezus, so pathetic!
The last part was Bill's Sarcastic Dig at and on how Feminist brush off bad/horrible actions done by Women 😬😬she was a Victim she was Scared she didn't know what to do 🤣🤣
The prison line DID make that joke work!😂 I agree the jokes made me ponder more than laugh. It’s always been dangerous to follow without critical thinking- more so when the person you follow is an aspect of a person that’s broadcast for entertainment- they have no personal accountability to you. Yes ED false idols is the perfect term
Goes blank on Connery's name. Priceless. One of my pet peeves is that so many of the cancel culture types have no problem with portrayal of violence against men, or degrading men in general. The incompetent, clueless dad has become a comic staple, with the mom being the smart one. I don't always agree with him, but Burr is funny, and never worries about P.C. Dave Chappelle is in that category as well. His Juicy Smoliet routine is classic.
That's the problem with cancel culture. They want ppl fired for using words. But when ppl comite horrible acts. That's fine as long as they check boxes.
So as long as there's someone worse than me, I'm fine. Good to know. If I'm ever arrested for a serious crime, I'll use the Coco Chanel defense. "Your honor, I may have stolen a car, but Coco Chanel was worse than me and she got away with it. Where's the justice?"
