Great vid, bill burr is a pretty abrasive guy but he's definitely funny. Also I'm sorry you can't see your family directly this new year but I hope you all have a good time. Me and some friends are gonna do a small costume party and count down the new year together. Hopefully next year brings more joy and less stress.

Not going to lie, that was the most relatable podcast I have ever heard because back in 2016, I was in the same exact scenario. I was on a flight from Orlando, FL to Baltimore, MD with my sister and this fat lady takes the middle seat in between us like the fat guy in the video. I was sitting in the seat next to the aisle and my sister was by the window. This lady was so fat that her thighs went under the armrests of the seat and were touching mine to the point I couldn't move my right leg. As the flight progressed, my thigh became sweatier and sweatier because I couldn't move it because of this lady's fat thighs and it was awful. Ironically later in the flight, she ordered a Coca-Cola and she literally spilled it on my sister's designer handbag, which almost set my sister off. I had the same exact thoughts in my head as Bill Burr during that flight, it was a nightmare.

I've got to say, having worked in the medical industry for years, that there are plenty of people who are very overweight who are not overeaters. I had a patient who weighed just over 700lbs. that was on a very strict 1,200 calorie/day schedule. He'd had several surgeries to remove fat pockets but they would grow right back. Just keep in mind that every overweight person you see isn't camping out at McDonalds every day.

I'm not as fat as the person mentioned in this story, but at 6'5 and 280lbs, I always buy a second seat just to give myself more room. I don't want to be rubbing against strangers while I fly either. I'm full on board of larger sizes buying another seat. Bill Burr is right on this one.

Just found your channel, it’s a good channel :) As for Bill’s rant, I agree, and I’m fat. But I buy the extra seat, or I get the business class seat. And it’s true, we just have to start making better choices, and having been fat most of my life, and on diets most of my life, I know exactly what works and what doesn’t... when you are fat, you are an expert on weight management... I however also have a spine like a gummy worm soaked in vodka when there’s cake around... so it’s difficult to get any results from the workout that I do, when I eat cake, smoke brisket and brew my own beer... but hey, I’m happy and I show some consideration by paying for that extra seat :)

I have a good friend who is 6'4" and big as a house. When he flies, he buys two seats out of consideration as well as his own comfort.

We celebrate New Years Eve too.

Hmmm. There are people who have a metabolic disorder. I have more sympathy there. But, for the vast majority, yeah. You choose what you put in your body. I lost 50 lbs in 6 months by not drinking soda at work. Not in my entire life....just at work. Apparently, I was paying like $15 weekly....to be fat. Yeah, I didn't do it for health reasons, I did it for financial reasons...but my health likely improved. Little changes can make a big difference. But yeah....if you're somehow invading another's space...for whatever reason, then you need to reevaluate.

What is best about your reactions is the honesty.

Bill Burr is right about not needing to drop money on a gym. I am looking for a new place to run as I recently moved and prefer trail running. But I typically run 120 miles a week or 20 miles a day Monday - Saturday. And once you reach a certain distance you need to start thinking about how far back you have to go. Especially, if you're in a desert or in the mountains, if it's hot, and how much water you need to drink before, during and how much you have for your return. But it will definitely drop the pounds.

As a larger man, I always buy first class and sit next to the window to try and avoid this. I also look at the flights and book the ones that are less filled/have empty rows. I also make sure I don't smell bad or overpowering with like cologne. Basically just try to be hypersensitive to the others around me cause I figure they don't want to be there just like me. I don't move once I'm on the plane and usually just try to sleep cause I hate flying as is. 😫

happy new years eve. hope this new year you have good health and find more new friends and have a good time with your family online. or maybe even find friends here. as for the topic. yeah ive had weight issues. in America it actually is a little too easy to gain weight. but ill also say this. its not hard to lose weight either. its not even that expensive. first time i lost weight i did portion control and calorie counting with an app. plus i learned how to cook so i wasnt eating boxed things all the time. 2nd time i didnt even try to lose weight at first. i just started a garden and decided id eat 1 meal from it a day because i had so many vegetables and then i realized i was losing weight and was almost down to what i was when i left for college. exorcise is another good one. i realize i probably will never be at fit as i was back in school but i remember feeling amazing that i could run a mile and feel like i could keep going. kinda felt like some super human or something. so yeah. its a little too easy to get fat in America but it really isnt hard if you really put some effort into it. and i wish society would stop with this fat acceptance thing because i feel like its doing more harm than good. dont bully the fat kid but like try to encourage them to do some things they might think "i dont know if i can do that" and when they do it they can be all surprised and maybe theyll try to see what else they could do

Yes, we have 600 lb people in America. And it seems like about 3/4 of all people over 30 are overweight to some degree. Including myself. I'm 5'8 and 200 lbs. But at least I'm exercising. Changing my diet is a lot harder to do. Addiction to soda is a real thing. Its harder to quit than cigarettes.

Here in America obesity is a problem. People prefer fast food over quick meals or high in sugar meals. When it's so much easier to prepare a healthy meal and for a cheaper price and it fills you up more and eat less through the day.

In America, we celebrate New Years by drinking with friends and having a fireworks show at midnight, if you're in America for New Years don't be startled if you hear a bunch of fireworks tonight.

There is a saying in America, "Your right to swing your fist ends where my nose begins" If someone is fat that is up to them, but when there fat is rolling over a divider and onto me it then becomes an invasion of my personal space and they do not have a right to do that

You should probably watch a few of his less well as Bill would say” anger” comedy podcasts or stand up. He’s not always like this and build up to this.
