@@willburke8373I just had that thought - if Bill Burr can deliver this much heat, just imagine how bad he got it from Patrice and had to learn or else 🤣🤣
Bill Maher is so smug it’s a perfect setup for Burr. It reminds me of people who aren’t Italian and when they say mozzarella they try to say it with the Italian accent on it 🙄😅
As an Italian speaker/Italian-American, I'd personally rather hear a non-italian speaker try to pronounce the words correctly. The way the average person pronounces "Ricotta" (type of cheese), for example, hurts my ears lol. I hear what you're saying though 😅
pronouncing words in their local tongue is cringe af. latina, italian.. you don't hear irish people talking like leprechauns. stop it. you sound weird. this is america.
He was joking about it meaning “great” lol. He literally smirked then laughed when bill said “no it doesn’t”. On top of using it correctly when he first used said it
; awkward; crude adjective. lacking social grace, sensitivity, or acuteness; awkward; crude; tactless: Their exquisite manners always make me feel gauche.
HAHA, he was wrong about everything then he said ”prima Inter pares” the correct latin phrase is ”primus Inter pares” usually a moniker reserved to the patriach of the orthodox church.
In the words of Kevin Hart "hold up, you're throwing a lot of big words at me and I don't know what they mean. So I'm just gonna take them as disrespect..." 😂
You can tell Burr definitely didn't agree with Maher about it but cut it short. Once you go down that hole, the show's over, and maybe even the relationship lol
Anyone that attempts to take on Bill Burr by injecting sarcasm into the conversation does so at their own peril. Burr can dance around most of the people on the planet.
This is what is great about Bill Burr. First of all he is probably hands down one of the best stand-ups out there today. Second he is a master of pretending that he isn't that bright but he is. He is razor sharp and is much more knowledgeable than he lets on.
Bill Maher got his start on Murder She Wrote as a sleazy PR guy with a mullet. Want to get a good laugh, check it out. You will never look at Bill Maher the same way, ever. 😂
@@dillivered Imagine you have to explain yourself everytime you say some jargon no one else knows but you and a handful of other losers like to use. I promise you, no one thinks you are cultured, cool, or more intelligent, just because you say words no one has any idea wtf you are saying, when you can have said the normal term for it.
There are people who talk like that. Just the average person doesn’t talk like that. He should have changed the way he talks to not come across as trying to sound “smart” but there are people who just have a vocabulary they’re used to using
The way Bill Burr roasts him is the epidemy of what it was like with all my buddies in Cole Harbor. We pick on everything and constantly tear into each other like savages. To me it's an act of endearment.
Both Bills are smug, the difference is Burr will call out another person for having that attitude because he cant call out his wife and she probably calls him out every day ( which Burr mentions on his podcasts every now and again ) .
He said roasts aren’t appealing to him because he’s used to the old Dean Martin-style roasts where your actual friends joked you on something they didn’t need to Google; he compared roasters to mercenaries because it is impersonal and the non-comedian roasters usually have writers with research teams. Bill Burr probably turned down the roast by cussing somebody out
Here's the thing. Burr roasted Maher throughout the interview, and it was hilarious. Burr said things to Maher's face that many have only wished to for years. However, if Maher could choose what to be roasted about, it would be things like his vocabulary and smugness, because that's his brand. He's rich and single, and as a fellow comedian, can laugh at Burr's digs. Also, these clips going viral is great for his podcast.
Bill is really in tune with our culture. Idk about yall but I was born in 79'. Our family's sat around and had full house roasting sessions, parents included 🤣🤣🤣 Plus he's already hilarious and it's coupled with our roasting ability lmmfaooooo. Bill is the sh*t!
3 minutes in and im lovin it, burr always delivers. maher is the type of white guy that we all make fun of. burr is the type of white guy we all love to kick it with.
This is Bill’s wheel house. As a New Englander who fought up to transplant himself in NYC this is an easy flex. Bill Mather is the smug guy who forgot he doesn’t have the strength of training to go up against a true working comedian of the likes of Carlin, Prior, Bruce and Burr cause he would never pull this shit with Chappell.
5:13 What Bill and a lot of people don't realize is that the Palestinians overwhelmingly voted Hamas into power and thus the next step for radicals was just straight up supporting Hamas.
Hahah bill and bill are friends and both comedians. Wouldn’t take any of the jabs seriously. Bill Maher is actually one of the few liberals I enjoy listening to. He may have opposing views but he’s understanding and isn’t afraid of some good discourse.
The thing is hes the worst case of TDS because Trump made fun of him in like 2012 and hes never let it go, he was making fun of Trump before half of America even knew his name. I used to be a liberal and liked Bill but his attitude changed me. Im no longer a christian hating atheist im a culturally christian atheist . @len3169
@@natew2610 the open-mindedness of liberalism has nothing to do with the deserved clowning which he received from Burr, and did nothing to affect his positions. It showed not only how out of touch he is with the general public, but how out of step with the edgy personae in regards to politics he pretends to represent.
@@Mercer1012 Yeah, You probably think Democrats are more than just center or slightly left of center. Therefore, Your opinions on American politics are fairly well meaningless.
This makes me think that you think Bill Burr is a Trump supporter lol which is hilarious. Bill Burr and his wife hate Trump lmao Burr has talked about liking Bernie
@@thorkagemob1297 you havent been paying attention then. Yeah...we all saw his wife in the UFC crowd finger Trump. And Burr hasn't come out and announced anything. But if you've listened to him the last number of interviews he's done, while never saying his name, he's been trashing liberal policies and takes on current events. He's been turning very much like a lot of these celebs that used to be never Trump but are now on the train. I'll have a friendly bet that he'll be converted before the election.
People need to forget that Bill Burr is not a oldschool comedian's comedian. I love watching guests on Maher's podcast that are like super oldschool comedians but he doesn't do well with the younger generations. Burr was also kind of being a dick from the start but it was also nice to see Maher get humbled.
It's a bit these guys do....Maher acts like the enlightened one and Burr acts like the smart-assed regular guy -- they do it whenever they're together. It's pretty funny.
@@MadameCasper It's both...but that opposite dynamic led to it becoming a bit (each have acknowledged it, Maher in this show near the end...and Burr on his podcast when Maher was on it) They speciifically say "it's a bit."
Burr sold out. Not a coincidence that after all these years, all of a sudden he's huge and everywhere. Shows, movies, money, u name it. For the longest time he was the epitome of question the govt and stick it to the man. He never quite got a big breakthrough. Then, all of a sudden, he starts towing the line about 4 or 5 years ago and boom - mega star status. He's not the same, at all. He figured it out, submitted, and is finally getting paid. Sell out. Those that followed his entire career, know 🤷♂️ it's obvious.
Maher has the nerve to claim "I know things," yet his opinions are almost universally proven wrong, with very little effort. He bends himself into pretzels to rationalize immoral & moronic points, and then just acts as if he's so smart & so brave to have an opinion -- yet if he didn't express those particular opinions, he wouldn't have a job because his career is completely based upon propping up corporate establishment elitist talking points & calling it "comedy."
