Bert usually asks a question then throws in an ellipses at the last second and then explains what he thinks the answer will be and why just long enough to keep talking until he reminds himself of a story to tell about his life.
Patrice HATED Burr. Bill pretends like he was Patrice's best friend, but Patrice HATED him so much. He used to talk about it all the time... about how Burr is a phony and how he cultivates black friends for his own benefit like a slavemaster. He called him a "modern slavemaster" many times. Burr is the worst.
@BC BC lol nah.. he always was a “typical black guy”. Some of his standup is funny but not hilarious. Where he truly shined was like on opie and Anthony, giving dating advice and what not. That shit was gold.
Fact is, you don't F with Boston comics. Boston is notorious for being the worse town for comedians, if they don't like you they will first humiliate you on stage, then beat the shit outta you after the gig. If Bill could handle Boston crowds, Philly did not stand a chance.
@@bydreaminc he’s part of the “podcaster cliq” they don’t even have to be funny, or decent people. And they’re pushed out like a product. They’re all super rich at this point.
Man that Philly rant was a thing of beauty, but omg if he would of heard Patrice tell him invincible, he would of roasted them so bad that city probably would of exploded haha
Just FYI. The Radio guy was ManCow who is good friends with Bert and still does work with him. I think it was a lot more vicious and dog eat dog back then tho.
You sure? I ask as the animation and tone of BUrr's comments indicate it is Marc Maron (WTF is his podcast and he was a on air personality on Air America at the time).
My head cannon is that bill is the brother who got fame, married Yoko Ono, used his dead brother for revisionist clout, and ghosted all his buddies after.
@@brahtrumpwonbigly7309 It wasn't? He went out and shit all over an entire city where he was performing for a full set because they were acting like cVnts. Also, "Brah," no...he didn't.
@@Peter-w4s1e Dude...don't be "that guy." It was a Philly crowd, it was a Philly rant. We all know the story. Nobody needs the "well actually," dude here.
Say what you will about his comedy, Dane was ahead of his time with how he built his fanbase. Like he was one of the first people to really take advantage of social media.
If you couldn’t tell that Patrice was “really a sensitive guy,” you can’t read people. Most of the crustiest assholes get really sore if you pick at them the tiniest bit.
Can’t seem to find the radio show he was referring to. All I’ve ever heard was the followup argument/discussion when Bill was on O&A and Patrice called in and they couldn’t agree on what happened.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oxTHPv8lLdI.html It was the Mancow radio show. I didn't want to dig through it to find the exact segment since I've already been down that rabbit hole, but good luck
Growing up in the west coast, I’m so glad I was able to listen to opie and Anthony on satellite radio… they were amazing especially their choices of comedians that were on the show
@@rainierr9356 his standup maybe but Patrice’s real gold comes from his radio shows. Check him out on O&A or the Black Philip show. If he were alive today he’d be killing the podcast game 🪦
Im not into sports or sports movies but even I know that Invincible is an apocryphal account of the guy’s career. There was no professional football tryout at a bar lol.
It’s insane how much a person with narcissistic personality disorder can dish out, but are ultra sensitive when you start in on them. For a stranger, a narcissist can deal with, but if it’s a relative or something they will completely fall apart, because the relatives know the dirt and could hit much harder with jokes than a stranger!!! RIP to the greatest freestyle on the spot comedian EVER, PERIOD!!!
@@Justin-kc4pe i understand. His stand up is trash, he is kinda like joe rogan: likable and nice podcast moments, but both of them wouldnt have made it this far in standup without podcasts.
@@Ptrixle It's nothing against the guy. There's just some people you find unbearable to hear tell a story. Bert is that for me. It's not him, it's me lol
Burr could’ve chose anyone to do a show with. He does it with the most annoying unfunny guy there is. It’s like if Norm did a show with Chris D’elia because he’s popular.
When people tell their past stories all Bert does is try to involve himself in some way so he can make it about him. Start paying attention to him and you'll notice it too. The last time he was on Rogan and it was a two part episode it was really bad.
It’s kind of how you are with family. You play fight and argue. Think of it like you have a family member doing something pretty cool with someone else, but that other person isn’t being that cordial. You come by to help out, but make a minor mistake and are then kicked out by that other person. Later, you and that family member begin talking about the mistake you made and how you got kicked out, but the whole time that family member is playing around and arguing with you like normal rather than take you seriously
@@crayothewarrior7713 Thanks. Yeah I got all of that, the part that was confusing me is why Patrice was mad at Bill. He mad at Bill because Bill jokingly yelled at him, or he was mad because Bill gave him advice? What say you
@@DeadDogInc well, Bill wasn’t just making jokes or giving him advice. He was, in modern terms, roasting him, or “busting his balls”. When we joke or roast each other, there’s normally a line that we don’t cross, whether it be a specific subject or the length of the roasting. Either way, there was some form of miscommunication between the two
