Most religious people down here argue along these lines: V: There are ways of telling whether she is a witch. V: Tell me... what do you do with witches? P3: Burn'em! Burn them up! V: What do you burn apart from witches? P1: More witches! P3: Wood! V: So, why do witches burn? P2: Cuz they're made of... wood? V: Gooood. V: So, how do we tell if she is made of wood? P1: Build a bridge out of her! V: Ahh, but can you not also make bridges out of stone? P1: Oh yeah... V: Does wood sink in water? P3: No. It floats! V: What also floats in water? P1: Bread P3: Apples P2: Very small rocks P1: Cider P3: Grape gravy P1: Cherries P3: Mud King: A Duck! V: Exactly! So, logically... P1(thinking): If she weighs the same as a duck... she's made of wood! V: And therefore, (pause & think) P3: A witch! (P1: a witch)(P2: a witch)(all: a witch!)

Let's explain something about the big bang theory: We can prove the universe's expansion due to the fact that distant bodies are perpetually moving away from us through red shift/blue shift which is essentially a visualisation of the doppler effect. If you look at infinite expansion backwards, it comes down to a single point which we proved to be a rush of energy due to cosmic background microwave radiation: Radiation that is extremely feint in the cosmos but very spread out which also ties into the expansion of the universe and also proves sudden existence of energy 14,000,000,000 years ago which spread through the expansion of the universe. We know the universe is 14,000,000,000 years old due to the farthest observable body is at least 14,000,000,000 light years away. You may be wondering where matter comes from if the Universe started with a rush of energy. I'm sure you have heard of Einstein's equation: E=mc2. This explains the conversion of matter and energy, thus a blistering rush of energy can and did create the Universe.

@@MarvelousSquad yeah I posted this 5 years ago and I think about that alot these days. I think it's pretty fair to say the universe as we know it started with a big bang, though as you say the energy must've come from somewhere. Another dimension, parallel universe, cyclical big bangs, god, Aliens, who knows! I learned recently that according to Buddhism the universe is in a constant cycle of infinite expansion, collapse and rebirth. Speaking as someone who is religious and works in aeronautics with an educational background in biology and the humanities, I have to point out something that is not meant to diminish the incredible scientific contributions of Edwin Hubble. That fact is that two years prior to his publication, a Belgian catholic priest by the name of Fr. George’s Lemaitre derived and published the same equations which would come to be known as Hubble’s law (now rectified to Hubble-Lemaitre’s Law). I’d also like to point out that modern genetics was first observed and recorded by an Austrian catholic priest by the name of Fr. Gregor Mendel. My pointing this out isn’t meant to dismiss Bill Nye, his premise, or sciences, but to illustrate that religion and science shouldn’t have to be at odds with one another. For the priests I mentioned above, it was religion that drove their scientific wonder and curiosity. Granted, religion has been used to vilify the sciences in our history and it has been used to justify cruel and inhuman acts, but such is the case with anything touched by human hands. How many examples can we find of human misuse of the sciences? In our history, we have used the pursuit of knowledge to justify grossly inhuman acts. We have used scientific knowledge to justify the mistreatment of others, just as often as we have used it towards human progress. The same can be said for religion. It has been used to justify bloody and costly wars, but has also inspired the most beautiful acts of kindness and charity. As with all things, it comes down to what we choose to make of it.

The measurements taken by Hubble that concluded that galaxies are moving away from us is based upon red shifting light. Has anyone actually tested light's behavior to ensure that light doesn't naturally red shift over long distances in the vacuum of space? When I plug in my headphones to my onboard chipset integrated soundcard that came with my laptop, I get a background hiss that's caused by EM interference from all the other electrical components in close proximity to my audio hardware. Would it be unfeasible to consider that this kind of interference would have been detected by these radio astronomers and BECAUSE the theoretical physics expected a result like this, this interference has now been associated with the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation we get taught in schools today?
@arikelimelech
@arikelimelech 8 лет назад
+Kamran Kamal Those are two very good questions! Has anyone ever tested the light's behaviour? Of course. That is what science is about. You don't just believe things because someone invents a theory. You believe in them, because you have critically tested the theory in every way you can think of. Couldn't the background radiation come from EM interference with other electrical components? No, because then the spectrum of the background hiss would be pretty random and dependent on the electrical components nearby. However, the measurement of the Cosming Background Radiation is reproducible. It has even been measured in space and matches up with incredible precision to what the theory states.

True science doesn't rely on faith, it relies on observation that is testable and proven true. Many argue that's the same way with Christianity. Well, prove the garden of eden existed by showing its location. Where is it today? We have gps and other technology that exists to map 100% of the Earth. Fact is, you can't, you have to have faith that it existed.

The longer I live the more I realize the saying, ". . . Common Sense isn't so common" is so very true. In fact, the "wanting" something to be "true" is much stronger than what "common sense" tells us. The "strength" of the "wanting" will dismiss common sense just about every time. @BlitzDragon1McPvp
@BlitzDragon1McPvp 8 лет назад
+Mounib Samara That's actually a really good question, and to be honest, we don't even were the energy to create the Big Bang came from. Heck, scientists aren't even sure if the Big Bang even happened. We simply don't know what existed before the universe, and we don't have sufficient evidence, at the moment, to prove the Big Bang or God.
@matildegd9965

+Blitz Dragon We can't "prove" the big bang until we have a time machine that can somehow take us back to the beginning of the universe and somehow make us able to watch it happen. It's impossible to prove, all we can do is gather evidence to support it. Yes the big bang hasn't been "proven" but it's a widely accepted theory because it has a buttload of evidence behind it. We don't have all the answers, but there is 100% more evidence backing up the big bang than God.

Beyond that, even if I grant you that there must be something "eternal" in order for us to exist, why can't said eternal thing be the universe itself? @henryknippling2408
@henryknippling2408 7 лет назад
I Like Changing My Name For Unknown reasons well I am gonna start that and the best part is that you can't DISPROVE that statement either. It takes more faith to believe that a Self made Bang created the universe based on pure accident alone, then it does to believe that some greater power whose origins none could fathom created the universe. And the reason it takes more faith is because their was just to much luck involved, 1. The "Big Bang created the universe at just the right speed so that the universe doesn't collapse in on itself. ( the odds of that are extremely low) 2. the Big Bang not only created a planet that was PERFECT for human inhabitation, but also helped it by putting it in a revolution around the sun so that we could never get closer or farther away from the sun. 3.the Big Bang managed to create the asteroids that hit Earth AND wiped out the dinosaurs, all on accident and all just in time for humans to stand a chance for survival (how absolutely lucky). 4. We have yet to have another meteor strike to kill off anything in the world. Yet you would actually have us believe that hundreds of meteors hit Earth in a short enough of a span of time, and we've just been lucky to not have another meteor shower hit us? And here's the kicker. I don't pretend to know the odds of all that happening, but I'm going to guess the odds aren't exactly great. But if say an all knowing and powerful God were to of wanted it to happen then I could see it happening easily. But I also concede that this outcome is possible through multiple parallel universes, and look at that you have no proof of parallel universes, so I guess we both believe in something we can't quite explain. The difference is, that without parallel universes your belief is literally the equivalent of Earth drawing the mega million lottery ticket and got all 7numbers correct, and no one else did. Mine on the other hand is an unexplainable and powerful being. Created this universe and awaits us in heaven. So I guess here's the beauty of it even if you're right and I'm wrong I'll just cease to exist when I die, meanwhile if I'm right and you're wrong then you have the fun time of spending eternity in hell or you know maybe if you're lucky you'll get purgatory and thus eventually heaven. So basically what I'm saying is that even if I'm wrong I've got nothing to lose, and considering the fact that people have been trying and failing to disprove Christians for Thousands of years. I don't feel to scared.
@henryknippling2408
@henryknippling2408 7 лет назад
Sumo So Silly well you can't say you know for sure until you get proof. Just like we can't say we know for sure until we have proof. Also tell me then how does a "Bang" just happen out of the blue like that, at the perfect rate to create a universe? The odds are literally a million to one against the world there ( probably higher honestly) that the Big Bang happened on accident, not counting parallel universes giving us multiple attempts at getting the perfect Big Bang. However there is no evidence to support the multiple universe theory. So currently you believe the Big Bang happened on its own accord despite the odds of that being astronomically low. While I believe in a God( something the majority of the world believes btw "not that its relevant") that can do anything created the Big Bang and set the world into motion. Granted I have no proof, but you can't prove that we live in a parallel universe either sooooo we both are grasping at straws at this point aren't we.... tell you what though I won't assault you for your beliefs if you don't either.

Nothing can't make something. So Clearly where scientists believe there was "nothing" there *must* be something. Far be it from a Christian to believe that something be a God that can create the universe, potentially resulting in a Bang. I mean seriously if you won't offer an explanation, then don't hate on others who try to especially since you can't fully disprove them.

Some scientists assume that quantum fluctuations, virtual particles or quantum foam could have something to do with the singularity that caused the Big Bang, but currently, nobody knows. "Nobody knows" also means that there is no reason known why anybody should seriously assume that a deity was involved. Not being able to disprove something doesn't add anything to a discussion. I mean, here is an example: I'm your god in disguise. Prove me wrong. You can't? Now what? Does the fact that you can't disprove this change anything?

Tim H I am not American, but having looked at the whole political storm before and after the elections from the outside, I can understand to some extent the reasons for many that did vote for the Orange-Man. The horrible candidates on the left, the bad handling of many "stories" by the left leaning mainstream media, and the insane and emotionally immature actions and reactions by the younger leftists; made it alot easier for Trump. Not to mention the fact that liberals seemed to have abandoned classical liberal principles for more socialistic groupthink ideologies. Not that the Orange-Man is presidential material either. But I am not sure how Trump is somehow influencing the rude comments made in the comment section. I suppose that is what they call Trump-derangement-syndrome? An obsession with Trump and everything he does, and making the illogical conclusion that he somehow influences everything, whether linked or related to him or not.

Upon some research, I found many things as to why something might travel faster than light. The most important of those things was that nothing travels faster than light. Literally nothing, a space less vacuum (which is a majority of the universe) travels faster than light, which might explain why the universe is expanding faster than its been around. It's a hard concept to grasp and I'm sure you'll be able to understand it better than me because you seem very informed. The Big Bang theory is the prevailing cosmological model for the universe from the earliest known periods through its subsequent large-scale evolution. The model describes how the universe expanded from a very high density and high temperature state, and offers a comprehensive explanation for a broad range of phenomena, including the abundance of light elements, the cosmic microwave background (CMB), large scale structure and Hubble's law. If the known laws of physics are extrapolated to the highest density regime, the result is a singularity which is typically associated with the Big Bang. Physicists are undecided whether this means the universe began from a singularity, or that current knowledge is insufficient to describe the universe at that time. Detailed measurements of the expansion rate of the universe place the Big Bang at around 13.8 billion years ago, which is thus considered the age of the universe. After the initial expansion, the universe cooled sufficiently to allow the formation of subatomic particles, and later simple atoms. Giant clouds of these primordial elements later coalesced through gravity in halos of dark matter, eventually forming the stars and galaxies visible today. Since Georges Lemaître first noted in 1927 that an expanding universe could be traced back in time to an originating single point, scientists have built on his idea of cosmic expansion. The scientific community was once divided between supporters of two different theories, the Big Bang and the Steady State theory, but a wide range of empirical evidence has strongly favored the Big Bang which is now universally accepted. In 1929, from analysis of galactic redshifts, Edwin Hubble concluded that galaxies are drifting apart; this is important observational evidence consistent with the hypothesis of an expanding universe. In 1964, the cosmic microwave background radiation was discovered, which was crucial evidence in favor of the Big Bang model, since that theory predicted the existence of background radiation throughout the universe before it was discovered. More recently, measurements of the redshifts of supernovae indicate that the expansion of the universe is accelerating, an observation attributed to dark energy's existence. The known physical laws of nature can be used to calculate the characteristics of the universe in detail back in time to an initial state of extreme density and temperature.

There would be some who are actually knowledgeable enough about the ongoing debate over Astrophysics and the origins of the Universe, that they are able to focus in on arguments and debates that scientists are currently having. This is a perfectly legitimate way of finding out the truth behind these topics. What is not legitimate is to try to exaggerate the scope of these disagreements trying to suggest that science has got it completely wrong in order to abandon it and go back to the religious dogma which had dominated Western Culture and inhibited a discussion which is based on free thinking.

@DTK5689
@DTK5689 10 лет назад
I don't think it was by accident. You may already be familiar with most establishment scientists do not question the big bang theory and view it as the truth even though there is no empirical data to support. This dogma within science that is based on a house of cards with many assumptions is seldom questioned within the scientific community. Those that do question the assumptions, run the risk of persecution in one form or another. Assumption #1: REDSHIFTING = OUTWARD MOTION = PROOF OF BB -the very basis of the launching of the big bang into mainstream science. Halton Arp provided many quasars showing vastly different redshifts than their related galaxies. Also, recent experiments in plasma physics were able to create redshifts on stationary laboratory tables. Assumption #2: UNIVERSE IS 12-14 BILLION YEARS OLD Superclusters fly in the face of this idea being that some are a billion light years across and would take hundreds of billions of years to form. Assumption #3: ABUNDANCE The model for the BB predicts the abundance of 3 elements: helium, lithium and the isotope, deuterium and assumes ther is one density that cannot be surpassed. In observation, the abundance of these 3 elements does not match what should be there. Even if you assume the existence of dark matter, there is still not enough of these elements. Assumption #4: CMB -Cosmic Microwave Background Only a smooth cosmic microwave background (CMB) is trumpeted by big bang proponents as conclusive proof of the big bang theory as only a universal explosion could possibly create this. This doesn’t support the theory at all, or at least, it supports many theories and, therefore, is not conclusive as to what causes smooth background radiation. Even still, early BB theorists predicted the CMB to be as high as 50 Kelvin, but later changed their predictions to match observation, which is less than 3 Kelvin. Assumption #5: DARK MATTER EXISTS Not one of the dozens of experiments that have taken place over the 20 years that dark matter had been postulated has supported the idea that dark matter exists. This should be a contradiction. The way science works, you make a prediction, observation contradicts it, the theory should be rejected. Assumption #6: DARK ENERGY EXISTS Why did dark energy come to be? Because, if you take the present value of cosmological constant and the cosmological constant that came out of inflation, you find that they are not the same. They are different in the order of 108 orders of magnitude. Yet, the big bang theorists accept this and simply put in another epicycle saying there is “dark energy” ad hoc to fudge the science. From these assumptions and more, the invention of a neutron star was created that flies in the face of known nuclear physics in that neutrons cannot be concentrated as postulated. Black holes were birthed and are assumed to be real things despite having not empirical evidence they exist. Stephen Hawking recently recanted his early proclamations of black holes saying that event horizons no longer exist. Theoretical physicists have to invest decades of their lives to understand the math created by other theoretical physicists. Many have different theories based on the above assumptions. It doesn't take much to see how this investment in their paradigm must be defended at all costs. Otherwise, the admission of wasting their lives may come to the forefront. There are many other political and religious reasons to defend the status quo.

tetchmagikos1 Well, in this video, there is no observation at all. Thinking it does is an assumption, just like all of the fore mentioned creations are formed out of many assumptions. Assumptions do not constitute empirical scientific evidence.

The difference between science and religion: Science as we know it was found and discovered by many other people before us. There are many holes in its logic and reasoning, but there are thousands of people who work toward filling those holes every day. Religion as we know it was discovered in a book that one person wrote thousands of years ago. It has many holes in its stories and rules, but we accept this and don't try to fill these holes because God is what really matters Science is for smart, curious, creative people who question the rules and run experiments in spite of them. Religion is for dull, gullible, simple minded people who only have to be told something once to devote their entire life to it, even if it doesn't make sense. Which do you prefer?

The Big Bang Theory is unsentific and Goes against the Laws of Thermodynamics which state that Matter cannot be creater nor destroyed, and thats called a law for a reason, it goes along with everything that is observable and there is no other evidence which contradicts the Laws of Thermodynamics. The Big Bang Theory is not observable something cannot come from nothing, it is just mans attempt to justify their sin the Bible is a book that has been proven true for thousands of years, you cannot disprove the Bible or its claims with science because the goal of science is not to establish absolute truth but to make workable models. "Scientific knowledge is a body of statements of varying degrees of certainty some most unsure but none absolutely certain now we scientists are used to this and we take it for granted that is perfectly consistent to be unsure that it is possible to live and not know" ~ Richard Feynman one of the greatest american physicists. a Christian worldview gives not the discontent, despair, and uncertainty that a Nautralistic worldview brings, which believes that "The cosmos is all there is or was or ever will be" Carl Sagan

I disagree. I believe the Bible is a way for people to get rid of their own responsibility for their own actions.. What really is having a religion all about anyway? Hmm good and evil... Get on one side of the fence? Why does one need to chose a side to practice being kind to others? Why? Maybe because they want someone to blame for their doing wrong.. And someone to pray to in hopes they will do the right thing? Or someone to pray to for hopeful outcomes.. Perhaps, someone to take responsibility for things that don't end up in our favor... Let's pray together and ask for this god to let my friends arms and legs to regrow. That's not asking too much right? After all there are a few creatures on earth that are able to regrow body parts.. And we are supposed to be his children right? Surely we are above the fish that regrows it's tail.. Or the earth worm who can adapt if chopped in half? Awww man... JOnTHeMOnSoon man, aside from looking up what the definition of theory is in scientific terms as the guy above me pointed out, you might also want to understand how science goes about making any conclusion, via falsification. the big bang is not a belief that we found support for, it is the only logical conclusion from the evidence that we have collected that we cannot ignore or refute. the way scientific discourse goes, when there are many studies that all try and falsify, i.e. prove the big bang wrong, from all different angles (if the big bang happened it would mean this about radiation, about distances, about the rules of the universe etc.) and they all fail to prove it wrong, then the big bang begins to be accepted as a theory. similar to evolution, people have tried to use fossil data, genetic data, biochemical and geochemical data to prove evolution wrong, and they have all failed because all evidence points that way. that is all

Bill Nye is wrong. 3:00 Hubble did not find that "The stars are moving apart"; stars are gravitationally bound in Galaxies. What Hubble found is that Galaxies or Galaxy clusters have differences in redshift consistent with them uniformly moving apart on large (tens/hundreds of mega-parsec) scales. 3:22 "There was a place from where these thing expanded" MORE tripe from Bill Nye; does he know ANY science at all??? The Big Bang did not happen in a 'place' in the Universe!! The Big Bang happened everywhere in the Universe at a point in time. - There is no distance between us and the Big Bang; it happened right here! The Big Bang was not an "Explosion" either, that is more nonsense. Although Nye is a dolt when it comes to Astronomy (and climate science), the other guy, Ham, is a straight-out loon and needs to be taken away in a straitjacket.
@1000frolly
@1000frolly 10 лет назад
***** Bill Nye, the idiot guy knows little, if any science from what I have seen of him. His statements about climate change and astronomy are mostly complete BS. If he knows nothing, he should just keep quiet. . Stars are gravitationally bound to galaxies, and effectively have no relationship with other galaxies. On large scales, many galaxies are moving apart as space-time stretches between them. Other galaxies are moving towards each other under gravity. The BB happened at a point in time, namely T=0. Since the BB created the universe, it happened everywhere in the universe at the same time. You cannot point to a place in the universe and say that 'the BB happened there', like Nye did. . "Big Bang happened right here (and everywhere) next to planet Earth?" Yes, we are separated from the BB not by space, but by time. (Note that the Earth is only 4.6 billion years old, and the universe is 13.7 billion years old) . " If you could also physically describe the Big Bang". The standard model says that the BB was the creation of all that there is or will be; it cannot be described as an explosion. An evolving expansion would be a better term. The BB was not and could not have been observed, since any observer would have had to be outside of the universe, which is impossible; as the universe by definition contains everything there is. Our particle horizon is defined by the BB; we cannot possibly see anything further away from us than the age of the universe; (13.7 billion ly) because nothing existed then.
@1000frolly
@1000frolly 10 лет назад
***** I have explained this countless times to the public during astronomical talks, and they are all surprised about the nature of our universe. This is the point I made which you appear to have missed; "We are separated from the BB not by space, but by time". This is to emphasis that the BB did not happen in some "place" as Nye erroneously said. I quote; 1:05 "There is a place from whence these things expanded" while saying this his hands were moving apart. There is no 'place' from whence these things expanded. There was a point in time from whence these things expanded. We are separated from that point by 13.7 billion years of time ONLY; there is no spacial distance between us and the BB. From our point of view we are at the peak of a limited time-cone which stretches back to the BB. The BB happened right here where we are now just as much as it happened everywhere else in the universe. Obviously, the Earth, Mars and any other massive objects were not around at that point in time. . "Please explain expansion to me." Expansion is simply a matter of competing forces; on the one hand there is the energy of the cosmological constant, opposing it is gravity. . "why would the observer need to be outside our universe?" Because there were no atoms with which to construct an observer, inside the universe. There could not have been any observers outside the universe; and none inside either, because there were not even any atoms in the universe until recombination, at t+300,000 years. Which of Nye's points about the climate would you like me to debunk first?

It means exactly the same, just simplified. This talk is not for PhDs in astronomy, its for the general public who have no frikkin clue about red and blue shifts. People who might think red shift has something to do with your car transmission shifting gears at a higher RPM!! FYI: His statements are hardly wrong, just too simplistic for anyone with a technical degree. But then its not meant for such people.

How about someone does some actual research and learn who was the first to propose the big bang. It was a Catholic priest in Belgium not Hubble. Of course, saying that a Catholic priest created this theory would not be conducive to his argument against religion and science having a symbiotic relationship.

An explosion that happened out of nothing made everything hahaha what are the chances, we really got lucky didnt we. If we dropped an bomb into the world biggest junk yard, what are the chances of a completely fueled F-22 with a pilot ready to fly it coming out of the explosion? Give it billions of years, what then? Lmao both are utterly ridiculous and make no sense
@Pikkabuu
@Pikkabuu 7 лет назад
Yes what are the chances of that happening? But that isn't what the Big Bang theory suggests happened. First of all there was never nothing. Instead all of the matter and space was condenced into one singularity which then expanded as suddenly and fast as an explosion. This is where the notion that it was an explosion came from. Second F-22 isn't a selfreplicating organism that can have offspring. So your example is not valid. So yes your notions are ridicilous and they clearly show that you are ignorant about what science actually says.
@Yoshiii339
@Yoshiii339 7 лет назад
Pikkabuu We got ourselves a scientist here lmao The expansion of space and matter sounds even more ridiculous. Where did this sapce and matter come from Mr. Scientist? Over the course of billions of years the planets just happened to form and suddenly natural laws came into play and the earth and the sun just happened to to be the exact perfect distance for life to survive? out of all the things this expansion of space and matter couldve done, how did it create life and do it perfectly with no mistakes Mr. Scientist? Take the magnetic field for example, space and matter just made the earth and sun but no magnetic field means nothing can live on earth due to the suns heat and radiation killing everything. How could space and matter make something so important so fast but take billions of years to start life. Clearly it couldnt have done any trial and errors by making little organisms without a sun or a magnetic field because its just space and matter, so it got it right the first time. But of course youre going to respond with time is all it took and a step by step on how everything somehow went in the exact order for life to begin Clearly shows how ignorant you are to quickly believe anything anyone says anyone with a science background, especially when this little theory came up only 90 yrs ago but i can already see that your mind wont be changed and neither will mine so theirs no point in going back and forward with each other.
@Pikkabuu
@Pikkabuu 7 лет назад
Zoom I'm not a scientist. I just listened to the teachers in school, and studied science also on my own afterwards. And all of the material existed in that singularity. And we don't now know where the singularity came at the moment, and it is not a bad thing. Saying "I don't know" is better than giving a false answer. As for how our solar system formed. Well that is an easy question and science has already answered that. Sun and planet formation is really well understood so you can check it out yourself. Wikipedia has a pretty good article about it. As for Earth being the perfect distance from the sun. You do understand that there are trillions of stars around? So chance alone would dictate that good chunk of them have planets viable for life at the habitable zone. Basicly what are the chances of a tossed coin landing on its edge? What about if you throw few trillion coins? And BB didn't create life. And no we are not perfect and there have been and will be tons of mistakes in lifeforms. Tons of people and animals are born with lifethreathning conditions and many don't survive even births. So no life is far from perfect. And what does it matter how long ago science figured something out? We figured out how to treat cancer only some decades ago. Would you rather that we would go back to tossing eels and prayers as healing as we did that many centuries ago? Or how about anesthesia? Modern anesthesia is barely century old but alcohol has been used as "anesthesia" for thousands of years. So which is it? Modern anesthesia or just drink till you drop and hope that the pain wont wake you up?
@Yoshiii339
@Yoshiii339 7 лет назад
Hahahah im not talking about coins or medicine As for other planets that couldve had us, name one planet that has everything the earth has, oxygen, moon, tilt, gravity, no toxic gases, atmosphere, not similar but same distance from a sun like star cause any closer or farther would cause problems, seasons, ect. By perfect i meant the way every part of our body works perfectly, the way we self heal from cuts or bruises, how our heart pumps blood and keeps it circulating in our body, how oxygen enriches our blood, how we can get rid of waste (urine and such), how we can reproduce, how a fetus grows in the womb, how our body can detect pain in an instant, how we can move any part of our body without thinking, and the list goes on. thats what i meant by perfect and sure there are mishaps but thats life or better known as sin I can go on about the way cells work in plants but if youve taken any bio course in HS or college then im sure you know how complex all of that is and how all of its functions work perfectly There is no way an expansion in space caused that and got all of that right just like that
@Pikkabuu
@Pikkabuu 7 лет назад
Zoom Do you understand what an analogy is? And you do know that we haven't been able to properly study other planets than the ones at our solar system? So basicly what you suggest is like staying inside your home without outside contact and wondering if there are other people outside. And again our bodies don't work perfectly. Our head is too heavy for our spine to hold meaning that we get backpains, and tons of things can go haywire which would leave us to trouble. Like for example our own immunesystem can suddenly attack our own body. And again there are so many flaws and bad engineering in us that it points towards evolution. If we had a designer then either he is cruel for designing us this badly, deceiver to make us look like we evolved or really bad at what he does. And again BB didn't cause life to appear. BB is not connected to abiogenesis in any way. They are two different fields of science.

Seeing for yourself is very low-quality evidence. Scientific testing, falsification, peer-review is designed specifically to overcome erroneous human bias, subjectivity, preconceptions & hopes. We know about expansion because we see red shift in all directions, tempered by relative movement of Earth. Many variables come together to indicate expansion, and the numbers all line up.

Was gonna comment about people complaining about religious people and saying that we control everything and that we’re against everyone who isn’t religious and how we’re wrong and how we think we’re right and everyone else is wrong but then I realized this was like 2 - 3 years ago But seriously (not trying to offend anyone) how could a big bang just randomly happen and everything would work perfectly fine and the human system corresponds with everything else inside of us and how everything is just so convenient I respect everyone’s opinions though
@addison1024

So, as I understand it, the answer to your question is basically that humans evolved to live within the constraints of our universe. If we hadn’t, we wouldn’t have survived, nor would we be alive to to wonder why we fit so well into the universe. As for the Big Bang and other theoretical physics like that, it is based off of all of our collective knowledge of how the universe works, and is generally just a way to tie together everything we know. It could be wrong, but we go with it because there isn’t any other scientifically plausible explanation for all of the factors we’ve observed

I love how people say the universe couldn't come from nothing argument. No where did anyone say it just all of the sudden existed. It was a giant mass of atoms, energy, protons, electrons, photons, mass, gravity, dark matter and dark energy, light.... The strangest thing to think about is what agitated it to explode, was it left overs from other multiverse being squeezed or pulled heated and bent by 4th denominational forces. We may never know, but that's OK. Objective thought is good, keeping an open mind is paramount for the success of our species.
