The way he says 'kid' is just amazing. I love how he holds every note. This song was amazing when Michael sang it, but David Cook brings out the whole meaning and effect of the song. ;D
This rendition of Billy Jean was composed by Chris Cornell. Which is cool considering that Chris Cornell wrote "Light On" which was one of Cook's greatest hits.
sometimes the old saying is dont fix what aint broken but sometimes u can put a twist on something to make it sound just a tad better or more emotional and that's what david cook did with billie jean.he gave it more life more feeling.still an MJ fan but love love this cover
No one can sing this song better than David Cook! He deserved the AI victory a more than anyone... even though I was in the same situation as David Archuleta for quite a while. And I will say this: If you're a singer, with a band that depends on your voice, IT IS HELL ON EARTH!
when you listen to this version of the song, you realize that the lyrics are very poetic and insightful, that's how talented MJ was. Chris Cornell may have seen the power of the song and focus on the darker side of it. But it is Michael Jackson who is the legend
i like this version :) this one than the version of Michael Jackson is very different and melodic, but I like it, very much and David's voice is fantastic, strong and intense
I realize now that I may not have even heard this studio version before. I watched the youtube video of his actual AI performance hundreds of times, and then the tour vids of BJ. Glad I ran across this because I really love it. Love the voice and the man.
Actually guys, David Cook covered Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean... Yeah, in case you don't know.. Chris recorded this version first in his 2nd solo album =)
lool im so happy i can hit them high notes :) i really wanna sing this song in a cover on a demo ima cover linkin park, three days grace, my chemical romance and just added this song as mai bonus :D he is amazing
Now this song makes sense. If not for Jackson's Moonwalk, I wish I never heard his version. Jackson's know didn't wrote this, did he? I would have assumed but now I don't think so
PEOPLE, this is not "david cook's version", this is chris cornell's version sang by david cook. To be exact: this is the cover of a cover. Give props where they belong at least....
I like that he's the only one who can alter an MJ masterpiece and make it sound amazing. But the original is just tops. But no cover artist can top David Cook's cover. How's that? >xD
