After listening 10000000 times, I *love* how sarcastic and derogatory the first half is ("immediately" "if I ever was"), and then changes, hinging on the repetition of "then you moved on," with the second half being a celebratory AND SO HAVE I THANK GOD. "You were so mediocre" is maybe her harshest line in all three albums and I LOVE it.
I think Lost Cause, Happier than Ever, and maybe even Party Favor from her first EP might be a bit harsher, but I love all her break-up songs; no one writes them like Billie!

I m a sucker for when Billie does jazz. She has done some great jazz covers as well. Also the change up and the oncredibly harsh lyrics. One of my favorites from this album ❤
The switch-up…. Is sooo about the girl (Devon) who dated the same dude as her that she felt guilty about in Wildflower…. And now BOTH OF THEM are over him, are friends and just raggin’ on him and what an a-hole he was… and BOTH OF THEM are glad that they’re over him. The lyrics in “his song that he wrote about Billie” are so foul and also talks about how his girl was a fan of her’s… he’s a piece of poo fo’ sho’. Billie’s song, this one, I feel is like her anger/denial song about the relationship… because this whole album is the history of a romantic relationship (& I think stages of grief) along with other relationships in her life such as her brother( Birds of a Feather), Diner (her stalker-coming up soon), Skinny (her fans, herself)… this album is just so complete and definitely AOTY…. Every time i listen to it I find something new.
I love the genre change, it makes me feel like that was the flip of when she realized she liked girls more. It's still her, but in a different zone. Love this album so so much!
The start of this song is like a lullaby - the sad one. This album is absolutely amazing - I love it "What's the better option: not getting hurt anymore and not making any good music or still getting hurt and making f* bangers - totally agree with you. You don't wanna get hurt but the best poems and songs comes from bad situations
Billie loves old standards and I feel like this is in that vein. Look up her singing “Fever” by Peggy Lee at the Hollywood Bowl! I hope she puts out an album standard covers at some point
It would be great if you guys could react to the happier than ever album, Billie has said that she went through a phase where she lost herself so she tried many different music genres and styles on that album and she has recently said that she found herself again with this one, even if its off camera its really interesting to hear her own evolution not only as an artist but as a person

I love how the beginning is like: "I thought I loved you but I really didn't because you are a narcissist" and the second part is: "Oh, your new girl is a fan of mine? So, if I tell her all about you, she will listen to me and might wanna fool around with me and drop you" 😁
If you like this sound (the bluesy part), you may like her one-off older song "bitches broken hearts". I think the video is a live recording, but I may be wrong on that part.
For me, the second part of this song is part of the album. By that I mean some songs don’t hit me the right way (that wasn’t on purpose haha, but that just shows how perfect the title is for this album) unless it’s while I’m playing the whole thing. Her and Finneas did an amazing job with the transitions. They capture you and keep you. I highly recommend once you’re done with the reactions to listen to the whole album from start to finish.
