Ahoy Video 5 for Mr. Dave Mathers dedication build of the Billing boats Norske Love. Hull completely painted and the most part of the hull construction is completed. Frankie Day
Hey Frankie, she's looking good and I can't wait to see your Me 410 build...post some photo into the Facebook Forum when she's done! Only 3 days to go until the start of the "BIG one!! Cheers : )
I had similar problems with hard wood with Constructo. The wood they give is beautiful but a nightmare to cut and bend. I went through 3 x 10 packs of exacto blades until the hull was all done and a lot of wood was wasted because it snaps along the length when you try nailing it down without pre-drilling holes. And it bends badly too, it seems to bend great until it just snaps, no creaking or any other warning like with other woods.
Frankie, you are an expert Billing model builder. I have just started my first build, the Bluenose II and wonder if you could give me a tip. The instructions say a number of the plastic parts should be painted with Blilling colour 36 which is a stain. Any idea how I should get a stain to stick to a plastic part?
Ahoy Antoaneta thank you buddy for tuning in on the Norske Love To paint the plastic parts with stain you muyst prime plastic parts first with gray or white primer paint. Plastic unlike that of wood has to be primed so the stain can stick and build up to the desired color of stain there you go buddy that's again for checking in I am honored Happy modeling buildingFrankie Day
