Columbia University is sitting on $13,6 billion in endowment money. Still tuition, room and books for four years is as high as $320,000. The president of Columbia makes $4.2 Million per year. Along with 24 trustees earning another $2.7 Million. And you see the end product. A complete rip off.

Donate to the community colleges not the large universities! It’s the community colleges that need funding! Those big universities on the other hand don’t need it since they have access to huge grants. Besides the two year community colleges serve and support the demands of the surrounding communities unlike the large universities. The working classes need more help and resources than the rich and wealthy that attend the larger universities! Provide more scholarships to the community colleges! We need more folks with associates and bachelor’s degrees then we need Master’s & PHD’s!!!

I agree with Barnicle. He was there in the ‘60s. I was too. The anti-war protests didn’t involve hate in the ‘60s. Oh sure, we hated the war, hated the draft, but we didn’t hate people of a specific ethnicity. We loved people, that’s why we considered the Viet Nam war such a travesty. Just googled columbia u's endowment. 'The total value of Columbia's endowment as of June 30, 2023 was $13.6 billion, reflecting a return of 4.7% on the assets managed by Columbia University Investment Management Company, as well as gifts and transfers, and spending from the endowment in fiscal 2023. The University's trailing ten-year return is 8.0%.' That could easily pay a bunch of saleries or tuitions. We do not live in a free country.
