We won't know if Beane made the right decision for another year or two and neither will he. But if Beane was wrong then it won't matter because he will be out of a job when we find out.
Stop being a propagandist for this foolishness. Beane punted on premium talent and a smarter contract situation for the right to get a third round pick who has an even lesser chance of working out. Beane has been terrible on second round picks historically (Cody Ford, Basham even Epenesa took four years to be viable) so yes people should rightly be concerned
