As a young Englishman I was taken to see Billy Connolly by my Glaswegian girlfriend in her home town...!! I have never, ever laughed so hard. He is absolutely shameless and matchless. Truly born to be a funny man.
Best Comedian the Planet Earth has ever known. Billy is a one off never to be repeated. Love him now and when he's not here also ❤❤❤ Alan Parkhall Clydebank x
My favorite Connolly line came when he responded to a guy who had been been heckling him for a while " You should get yourself an agent pal, why sit there in the dark handling yourself,"
I love a comedian who can relate to us all with everyday stories. Non pretentious and awesome delivery. Billy has it all and more, one of the greatest by a country mile 😊
The world loves ya Sir Billy Connolly. Thanks for all those times you made us laugh so we had a chance to forget our troubles for a while. In the world of performance art/comedy there is none better.
Many many years ago when I was in my late teens I temporarily lived in Adelaide - South Australia ( although I was born there, I grew up elsewhere in another South Australian town ) Am now 52 but I returned back to Adelaide for a while in my teenage years ). One very early morning I caught a public transport bus to the city, pretty sure it was a weekend morning in Adelaide, and I don't know what it's like early in the morning nowadays in Adelaide - but this particular morning I was there - it was totally deserted. Not a soul around. I wasn't too far from the Rundle Mall shopping area walking down King William Street when I noticed a very tall man walking in the distance towards my direction. At the time - we would have been the only two people about. As I got closer - I recognised the gentleman in this video clip. Mr Billy Connolly. I was a shy kind of teenager, but I glanced up at this man towering over me as he walked by. I wasn't really seeking his attention ( but a quick hello would have been nice ). But as he walked by, I noticed he just seemed too distracted and engrossed in taking in the sights of Adelaide as he was gazing UP at the city buildings. Don't blame him though, Adelaide does have a lot of fascinating big old buildings and structures around the city.
watched Billy in New Zealand twice as he visited us now and then ,broke two ribs laughing ,my man big yin proud too have shared my time and yours on the planet ,thank you Billy
@@aflaz171 Most people interested in comedy agree. Go out there and ask people. He's more popular in Britain, Europe and English speaking people in Asia and the Pacific than any other comedian in history AND he's travelled more widely than any of them! So...GETTIFAYABASA!!!
He is an absolute genius.. went to watch him in Bournemouth some years ago. I have truly never laughed so much in all my life. My face was so sore after the show 🤣
Me too. I saw him years and years ago in Reading. He walked on (I think he was hammered ) and asked `How many Scotsman here ?' Six of us put our hands up. `Hear that the rest of you, you're completely outnumbered ?' It went on like that non stop for an hour. He lived near my Grannies place and he'd walk around Ballater like anybody else. The Royal Family were there too, but a'body was keen to see Billy. Lovely, genuine man
first heard this genius whilst serving in the Royal Navy and one of my mess-mates brought the Album Big Yin and us English lad coud not understand a word owing to his accent. thank god I persevered absolute legend Sir Billy C
well, Jamie.... I read an autobiography of his many years ago...in the 70's.... It was hilarious.-.. I'm sure yours is a later continuation of that.... but be sure to check out a comment on another clip I made in that respect......"Just the other day" as Billy would say.... His Topless Bar experience in West Africa....
@@patagualianmostly7437 I don't think he's written an autobiography before. I know his wife has written two books on him. I've read both of them and enjoyed them both. Like I said the man is a comedy genius
Billy Connolly during his " Moses " period . The Limo Driver came up with some OUTSTANDING Advice . Completely TRUE , what he said . I think Billy thought so too , by his reaction at the end there .
Actually that's so true about Irish . I decided to walk around Dublin first time ever in Ireland, was looking for different places. Every Irishman said it's only five minutes away ,just around the corner & further up about. I was exhausted & dehydrated & said to one Irishman it doesn't seem like five minutes away because I have been walking for so long, he said oh that's by tram I didn't even know they had one!
And shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from thy hand that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to thee and teeming with souls shall it ever be. E nomini patri, et Fili e spiritu sancti.
