The reason I love this song so much is that we grew up total different parts of the country and the song reminds me exactly of parts in my life going. I'm mostly a HUGE Florida Georgia Line fan but ever since Billy came out, I've loved him. I'm so picky with my music & mostly my fave was Classic rock esp Elton John. And besides the few country stars I did like, that was it. But idk man,, FGL, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and esp Rascal Flatts being another face of mine those Guys have turned country music into Magic!!! I'm not usually into "Today's " music, but country's got it dude!!! I mean, I like other country artist of today like Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, etc etc.! But the names I gave first are my favorites. Gosh, I remember when Billy did "Party For Two" w/ Shania Twain back when I was just 14. Then remember looooving "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right" when It first came out - Mr. Cuttings on has gone a long way && We love him. I think this one "We Are Tonight" may Just be my favorite of his. On paper this song seems a little generic and too much like everything on radio today, but Billy Currington is emotionally connected to the lyrics and pulls it off in a way I don't think too many male country artists today could. Florida Georgia Line or Thomas Rhett could certainly sing this song and have a hit with it, but they wouldn't give it nearly the same exceptional vocal treatment. Nice job Billy.

There is so much disgust towards modern contemporary country music like Luke Bryan Florida Georgia line and people like billy currington because it's not classic country. But I love it. It may have influences from other genres and that is what separates it from the classics. It is another genre from the classics but it is just good music to me
