yeah, this is a good song by Billy Idol. Also, he has another song that’s good called white wedding is a good song as well and by the way, I really like your sexy dancing…
Miss bisscute, the guitar player Steve Stevens, who is an actually excellent guitar player how he obtains that sound. It’s called a Tremlo bar, but also people call it a whammy bar because it has a whammy sound. He just grabs the bar from the guitar and you pull out and you pull away from the guitar…it makes like a whammy sound wow wow wow wow wow
I've watched her for a couple years now on and off, find her more annoying than anything, but she repeatedly makes me giggle. That was yet another example. She didn't even try to cushion what she was hesitant to out herself about. I guess I'd say she annoys me as much as she makes me laugh, so I come back for the latter if it's a song I like.
In an interview, Steve Stevens said he achieved the ray gun sound by plucking a harmonic on his overdriven guitar sound, patched through a pitch shifter with the rate control set at top speed. Live, Billy actually steps up to Steve's guitar with a toy ray gun he "fires" at the guitar pickups ;)
It's funny seeing ladies still swooning over Billy. He had the vibe and 80s girls went crazy. Still a great song that obviously still rocks generations on.
White Wedding, Cradle of Love, Dancing With Myself, To be a Lover, Hot in the City, Flesh for Fantasy.......Billy was really big in the 80's, his career was impacted by a near fatal motorcycle accident
I saw him when he started touring again, with a cane. A different vibe but still very good. As he couldn't dance himself he had dancers with him on that tour.
Part of the appeal of Billy Idol's music is that it's rock and roll that makes people want to dance. It's very popular in dance clubs. It's also just really good music.
what a stud. he gives a great interview to howard stern in 2014. just who u wld wish him to be. cool, forthcoming and unapologetic. one of the all-time great rock and rollers
Ironic that there was an iconic joke on the TV show 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', where US actor James Marsters played a vampire called Spike. He was the spitting image of Billy Idol with a British accent. The in joke in one episode is that Spike claimed that Billy Idol stole the image from him.
Billy Idol is great live! This is such a great iconic hit, and I love how into it you are getting! Your chair dancing is making the video exponentially more awesome!
I saw Billy live years ago. Being up front was like standing in the ocean and letting the waves crash over you. The young ladies in the crowd were coming over the top in droves and jumping on stage to get a hold of Billy. The security was very overwhelmed. There were at least 3 girls on stage constantly.. It was great!!!!!!
"Dancing With Myself" is my all time favorite Billy Idol song. The song was originally released when Billy Idol was with a punk band called 'Generation X'. But he re-released the song when he became and solo artist.
greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾 I was born in 1983 and I love the music of the 80s and 90s, they marked my childhood, good theme and you are great girl, I love your videos and reactions eres muy linda😊❤❤❤ gracias
I am pretty sure STeve STevens achieved that guitar sound in the studio by using one of those toy lazer guns that you used to buy that made noises and holding it up close to the pickups of the guitar.
@@BisscuteReacts you will love it! Since I was in Germany from 1987 to 1990 my wife and I listened to it so much and still love hearing it. Thank you sweetheart🙏🏼🌹💕
With so many iconic artists in the early 80’s..the stones to call your self Billy Idol..is truly EPIC….especially when you deliver like this….I love Blue Highway.
Hello 👋 Miss Bisscute !!!! This is a Great Tune 🎶 indeed !!!! & White Wedding will be Just as Fun for You 😂😂😂 As always the like button 🔳 has been Illuminated 😊 Also ( Flesh for fantasy )
I would have loved this song if I only heard it on the radio. Seeing the video makes it even better 😊 Rebel Yell is my favorite from Billy Idol. I love everything about it.
The guitar solo in Michael Jackson’s song “Dirty Diana” played by Steve Stevens known for his work with Billy Idol and his dynamic playing style. Dirty Diana (Official Video) is where Steve Stevens interact with Michael...OH MY:)
There is a great video of Billy performing "Rebel Yell" with Miley Cyrus at a I Heart Radio event . When Guitarist Steve Stevens does the ray gun sound in that performance, he holds a battery powered toy gun right by the guitars pick-up . Maybe the toys sound is generated by magnetics (?) causing the guitar to pick up the sound (?) It's worth checking out just to see that , plus Miley actually kills it in that duet performance with Billy .
Billy Idol is still touring. He was just in Toronto and Montreal in Canada. Fantastic shows. Great tunes. Billy Idol still has that Elvis sneer and he looks even better now that he's older. Hard to believe, but he's someone's grandfather now. Still hotter than hell.
I'm friends with Billy Idol on Facebook and he had a post where he was performing recently in New York city at the top of the Empire State Building! love your facial expression when he sings with a rebel yell!😂🖤
@frankmarsh1159 above is correct, and that is the real answer-Steve Stevens used a toy ray gun, held up to the guitar pickups, to create that iconic sound during the guitar solo of Rebel Yell. It was just part of the kick-ass nature of that song when it came out, and we all loved it! Remember, the 70s-80's was the birth of "electronic music" with synthesizers becoming HUGE in most every band during the time, and that is why so much music from the 80's is soooo good....because all of the bands were constantly experimenting with new sounds and ways of making music. That ray gun was just one of those many experiments that worked fantastically! None of us who lived during that time will ever be able to sit down when this song plays!
Now, that's some quality chair and face dancing! Ha! "White Wedding" is probably his next biggest song from back in the day. Also, he sort of was out of the spotlight for a few years, and then had a little come back with a song called "Rock The Cradle Of Love", that I really like, but I also probably really liked it because the video had a very sexy girl that dances around in it. Good song though! A little more like this one.
A little bit of smut info. I watched a GMTV breakfast show with bad boy Billy some years ago. He gave a great answer to the question " Billy what gets you motivated in the mornings ? Billy's answer was also pretty simple.......A really nice slow wet sloppy Blo Job ! Mr. Rock and Roll :)
This is definitely on my top 10 list of favorite songs of all time. So much fun seeing u enjoy it as well. I would also recommend Mony Mony and Dancing with Myself as well. Awesome reaction Biss!! ❤🔥👏👏
you are awesome to watch on here! glad you like the song! you need to do on here for more of the smut feeling: White Wedding, Flesh for Fantasy, Dancing with myself, to be a lover, hot in the city, eyes without a face, catch my fall and cradle of love. those are essential! trust me!! i've loved billy since i was little.
Who else loves to see Bis do her "Elaine"-dancing (Seinfeld reference)? She has absolutely no rhythm but somehow looks so cute twitching her little heart out!
@@BisscuteReacts The song starts straight to showing a lady in a dark colored cowboy hat, long dark colored hair, dancing. So get your cowboy hat, and dark outfit ready.
It's amazing how this has held up over the years considering it was the 80's and how dated that sound is, but this song is an exception; so well recorded and perfectly mixed and mastered.
It's actually him turning the delay time knob in the studio on an old rack mount Lexicon PCM 41(81?) digital delay causing the audio to glitch like that.
the sound from the guitar is playing by steve stevens, on the floor he has a multieffect board with lot of multieffects for the guitar, like flanger, phaser, Tremolo, Reverb and Delay (Echo) , he pull and press the Tremolo on the guitar to create this effect, with a killswitch for the pickup microphones on the guitar, so you can put on off in a second to create this effeckt with a doubler chorus, and slap delay effect. steve use on his Rack often the Lexicon PCM 41 Digital and Eventide harmonizer to create some effects And Yes....Steve stevens is one of the Best out there. BUT!!!!: We forget often, this record, is not a live record like they show on the video. It is a Studio Recording Song and after they made the video. So in the studio you can more go on details with guitar sounds instead on stage.
All that description is wonderful, but it isn't how Steve made the sound...you can find it easily on the 'net...he created the sound with a toy ray-gun, held up to the guitar pickups...you can even see a recent Vivo live session of this song, and during the solo, Billy hands Stevens a "version" of the toy ray-gun and he uses it to make a similar sound to what was recorded.
I had a friend at school who'd follow Billy Idol's tours. He liked the music all right, but he wasn't a hardcore fan. What he did love, enjoy and take advantage of, was the mood these concerts were putting the girls in the audience into.
Billy Idol was the best bad boy of the 8o's. His swaggering devil may care attitude and blues voice and sexual energy made many a good girl swoon. The bad girls already knew what they were up for. It seems you are up for more, more, more!!! Anyway, there is another video, rarely played, called TO BE A LOVER that I can imagine you would enjoy very much. Billy Idol pulls off a move that Elvis would have been proud of. The backup singers are in full 198o's style and bringing sassy vocals home. You could be one of them. I'd pay yo see that. Billy also rocks the Hell out of MONY, MONY. Let's get your boogie on, girl. Eddie Kendricks is a former member of the temptations. His song BOOGIE DOWN is a party favorite. Carl Charleston makes room from you to hang loose with the song SHE'S A BAD MAMMA JAMA. C'mon, Bisscute. Let's get down!!
