You could never imagine music without him he is so unique musical as a person he is so highly intelligent yet so earthy a wonderful ambassador not just for music but also new york
I saw this show! Storm front in Vancouver in 1990, with my Dad. Billy told the audience he had done some fishing that day, and there was a big signaling of course for Piano Man.
That hair though. And a Denman brush and blow dryer. I remember when I pre-maturely matured and cut that hair off. So nice to get up a 1/2 hour later every morning.
I remember when everybody went nuts when We didn’t start the fire came out! It seems like everyone I knew got the Storm Front album for Christmas in 1989 or 90 whenever it was!
I got that album when it came out, and the songs that I REALLY fell in love with were Storm Front, Leningrad, And So It Goes, and Shameless. Still my favorites off that album.
Great interview, thanks for sharing. About a year later Sty Jeffries interviewed Billy for Good Rockin' Tonite and asked it he was "ticked" as well. Seems like a similar script.
