Edward Congdon, nowadays called Billy One-Hand, became the most succesful pirate of the Golden Age, when he robbed a wealthy ship and used his money to settle as a merchant in France, using his mercantile skills acquired as a slave smuggler on Madagascar. This is the story of how he did it.

There is the vaguest of connections between piracy and the Pringles man. The machine that cooks Pringles in their specific way was patented by a former army Engineer named Gene Wolfe, who had a very distinctive mustache and the Pringles mascot is modeled after how he looked at the time. Later on, Wolfe would become one of the most critically acclaimed sci-fi writers of the later half of the 20th century, and he did write a book set during the golden age of piracy called Pirate Freedom. While it's not up there with his best works like Book of the New Sun and Fifth Head of Cerberus, it's a fun enough read as it is.

If I may: oh that is actually Halsey written with so called Long s used in English until the 19th century. The Captain Halsey refers to pirate John Halsey: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Halsey_(privateer)

Plymouth is in devon, where ALL the pirates came from, not cornwall

While you are correct that Plymouth is indeed in Devon (even if just barely as Cornwall begins just West of it) many pirates, even Uk ones also came from other areas like Wales and London. Also some pirates came outside of the Uk too.
