Going to see Billy in five days at the Gorge, so excited to actually see him, and show my husband what’s up, he doesn’t get my infatuation with Billy’s music, but he will on Saturday.❤
@@jakesegdirb He loves Billy now, he got t-shirts for both of us, 2 different ones for me and one for himself. I knew he would love Billy Strings! The whole day was fantastic, Willie Nelson was great, Dylan had a tight band& Billy said he usually does several dates on the Outlaw tour every year, but he could only do one Outlaw show this year and we were there for it. We are so lucky and blessed to see Billy’s only show!!!
Small Town Madness, Me driving by in a Old 55 Chevy 3100 with a 350 Uncapped headers, passing all the buzz heads at the local bar high as they can get in the backwoods. This song couldn't be more true! Love it BillyStrings. I first discovered you when I found the Dust In a Baggie song with all your buddies hanging out.
My first car was a 70 Chevelle. I was 16 years old and all the boys in my neighborhood were so mad that our neighbor sold the car to me. I loved that car.
I had a 79 Vette. Stick shift. Turd brown paint with sparkles in it tho. That chevette went to so many concerts (Nirvana, Woodstock 99). 200% miss that car. Would get out of class and like 4 people hotboxing in it. Early 90s were fuckin wild
My grandma had a 1966 Chevelle that I would borrow when I came to visit. I got a speeding ticket for doing 75 mph in a 35 mph zone on my way out of town. My family knew about it immediately because 3 of my aunts were together when they heard my ID called in over the scanner. They said that I had inherited my other grandmother's lead foot. She died before I was born but she had a reputation for driving like a maniac. But they didn't call me lead foot, they called me double mint because I was doing more than double the speed limit.
I'm a 77 yr old Billy fan. Back in the day my husband and I had a 69 Chevelle SS. Loved that car! This awesome video and song brings back great memories. So excited for new album!!!!
Thank you for changing our lives one badass grass lick and one momentuously meaningful message at a time Billy. We love you more than we could ever describe or explain. This world has been made so much better with your light upon it. This song RIPS!!!!! I'd get along with Leadfoot 😎
This is definitely proof the Billy is living the dream….and from what I can tell he has damn sure earned it! It’s been a long time since I’ve heard a new badass car song. This guy buys a badass big block Chevelle & promptly writes a badass song in its honor. Maybe this could be a series of cool car songs. He could pull out the 502 and drop in a 572….and write a new song. Then pull out the 572 & drop in a 632….and write a new song. The possibilities are endless with this theme! 😂
Not enough car songs that aren't about truckin'.... He did a whole set of Train songs, would be good to see him add more to the canon of "cartrips/driving" songs....
I am a bluegrass guy for the 61 years God has put me on this earth.I despise what 'country music' has become in my lifetime.I have a good friend who dj's a local bluegrass radio show and he tirned me onto billy when he was just a kid.weve never looked back.He also took my kid who loved boy bands and then metal into a place where we agree.iay never know how but THANKS BILLY.
When I was 15 in Arkansas my mother got a Maxima. I thought it was lame until I finally got to drive it. Wow, it was fun. It wasn't long before my mom had it in the shop for "a noise". The mechanic told her there was only one motor mount that wasn't snapped, when you revved it the whole engine would raise up. I got an old yellow Ford and dropped a 390 in it and turned it into a sleeper. Had to carry spare oil in the back. We'd drive 90 miles an hour to various fishing holes with an aluminum boat leaning up over the tailgate and slam Jaeger while bass fishing in 100 degree heat. That old truck was charmed, never got a ticket in it.
Got a similar story except it was a 95 chevy. Best truck I've ever had. Flipped it on the way back from the lake trying to not hit a dog lol Got my first speeding ticket the first week I got my new car. Miss that old girl
Just too cool, yall ! I know its a southern hillbilly banjo tune, but at 0:35 thats a picture of Lake Superior with Da Yoop at the southern edge below the lake. Many a back woods hot rodder out in the country in the U.P.. Thanks Billy ........yall are rockin the western Yoop now !
Years ago a friend of mine sent me a phone video of a kid playing a song he wrote on an acoustic guitar at a house-party The song was folky and bluesy but didn't pull any punches I've been hooked on Billy Strings work ever since
I live a few miles west of Muir MI. I still am shocked that a young fella from our neck of the woods made it so big. Billy’s tallent is unsurpassed. Some neighbor kids brought home guitars from Billy. So cool!!
cannot believe you were able to get william dafoe to play leadfoot in this music video! wow man! you have came a long way! congratulations! you deserve it you are clearly gifted.
LIke me, my Mama was a Leadfoot. I had a '69 Chevelle SS 396 in the 70's, and she loved to borrow it and burn up the street. Among other road 'badges,' she had 3 speeding tickets in the triple-digits in South Georgia (all in her Lincoln Town Car). They never even thought about taking her license because she was the Colonel's wife and a God-fearing Teetotaler... vroom vroom!
This dude just kills it with everything he does. I've got ten bucks says he owns that beautiful Chevelle and spins the tires off it on a regular basis.
Well Billy Strings did it again. Damn fine song there son. I love it. Can't get enough of it. I wish I had an old Chevelle. Can you picture yourself driving an old Chevelle listening to this song. That would be one hell of a speeding ticket.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Saw my first 2 Billy shows the other night with my mom. This got recommended and I don't believe I've ever heard it before. The thumbnail alone is fucking nightmare fuel and pretty eye-catchy and as much as I used to not care for Bluegrass, you can't go wrong with some Billy.
While Grandpappy might not know the song, bet you dollars to donuts his foot would be tapping right along! Well if he wasn’t up yonder already with Earl and Lester!
The character in this video looks like a live version of this guy in your "Catch & Release" animated video.iru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mWcMXujMpkQ.htmlfeature=shared&t=12
I see that Lake Superior pic on the bedroom wall! And we get Escanaba and Seney Stretch on the new album... The Yoop is strong with this Michigan son! ❤🎉
Fuckin awesome never thought we would see the day bluegrass came back now we got Billy out here doing his thing and it’s better than could be imagined!
WAIT a darn MINUTE! Billy Strings, the Guitar Flat-Picker-in-Chief is playin'... all the instruments on this track, which he wrote... ('cept drums)??? What??? His talent knows, NO bounds.
