I'm going to give you a huge tip here since I understand the exterior cleaning procedures and industry.... You don't want to clean organics with pressure because it will usually take more time and possibly more harmful to the surface. Go out and purchase an xjet system or a downstream injector bypass. Both of these will allow you to put chemical in the line after the pump. The xjet will be at the tip of your wand with a hose that can go into a bucket. The downstream injector will be at the start of your hose and you can attach a smaller hose to put in a bucket. Both of these will draw chemical using the Venturi effect. That chemical should be bleach. You will be a whole lot more efficient and actually be able to clean more things with that setup as long as the organic buildup isn't that much. The systems Pros use are a whole lot more expensive and a whole lot more technical but essentially you can replicate a lot of what we do by with what I told you. I can go into more detail if you want so feel free to reach out. And just as an added tip.... those black streaks that you see on people's roofs may be able to be removed with this setup if they're not that bad in only one application.

Thank you for sharing your expertise. I Have a few issues I've attempted to correct in the past with mixed results. Perhaps you could share your input? 1) A few sides of my home get that green algae on the vinyl siding. I normally just hit it with the pressure washer, however when cleaning I am restricted to only about 8' high as I can't can't reach higher with the standard gun. Are chemicals the solution? I have vegetation below which concerns me. 2) My gutters have those black streaks, and it drives me nuts. I attempted to use a 1 to 1 Bleach/water solution later year. I allowed the mixture to sit for a few minutes. It definitely helped, but I didn't achieve that prestige white that I was looking for. Unfortunately, I also bleached a small spot on my composite deck wood. I did pre-wet the deck. Not sure what happened here. 3) My roof does have a decent amount of blue green algae. I did attempted to treat this a few years ago with a 1 to 1 Bleach. It did work, but I wasn't able to get the solution to reach very high up. I am also concerned about bleaching the siding. How can I correct this without spending a lot on gear? Do I have the correct mixture?

Welcome 1. Yes chemicals will be the solution to your 8' problem. The overwhelming majority of professionals would be using SH/sodium hypochlorite/bleach for that application. Actually probably 95 plus percent of them would. You don't want to run bleach through your pump. To get around that I mentioned the "xjet" which will cost approximately $130. That will allow you to pull many chemicals into the line after the pump using the Venturi effect. Then you'll easily be able to shoot taller places on your home. When it comes to vegetation there are some things you can do. The most common thing people do is rinse the hell out of the area before you do anything and then rinse the hell out of the area after you're done. Some people will water during it as well and if you don't have an extra person you could use a sprinkler. You should only be using an effective bleach percentage of 1% when it comes down to it so that isn't that strong to kill a lot of vegetation on contact even if it does hit them. Your best bet what also be to go to a pool supply store and get some 12.5 percent sodium hypochlorite. 2. You have on your gutters what is called tiger striping. It's a different animal in general. You can try some La awesome and a brush or what a lot of the pros use is a chemical called gutter butter. Bleach shouldn't affect most composite decks that quickly especially with the low percentage stuff you were probably using. Do you know what kind of composite deck you have? 3. The bleacher you were using was probably 6% to 8% and that was when it came from the factory. When you were using it it was probably around 4% maybe even less. Theoretically that was probably enough to clean most of the organic material on your roof. The xjet system I was telling you about could be maxed out with the right orifice size which are included in the purchase but you would still probably have to do some ladder work. You may also need a longer pressure hose as well. Your siding shouldn't be an issue if it's vinyl let's say. Actually you really shouldn't be getting any of it on your siding if you're hitting just your roof. If you don't have gutters then you have to worry about the vegetation which we already covered but if you do have gutters then you can just redirect the downspouts with long polypropylene bags or those gutter extensions that are next to nothing at big box retailers. As a side note I'm having a system built right now that is dedicated to being able to put down a lot of chemical and shoot very far up. Best system cost roughly around $7,000. As you probably know speed is what makes money and that will enable people to do things fast. Compromising on equipment just means it's going to take longer time and as we all know time is money. A professional would probably charge you $500 minimum and probably more like $700 just to do your roof. A homeowner could accomplish similar results with a far far cheaper setup but they would have to source everything involved, spend hours and hours and hours doing it, and then go up on the roof. We can hit everything from the ground most of the time and probably be done within a half an hour of actual application time. Of course set up and break down and every other little intricate detail would add up to be another hour or so.

2.5GPM? I realize we all have budget constraints but I truly believe 3.8 - 4.0 GPM is where we should operate at (i.e. in terms of a minimum).

you didn't say anything about the soap dispenser or how much soap to put in. Plus, you didn't say that you were spraying the side of the house with just water or soap.

@@jonledin1 It’s a syphon bottle. You put concentrated soap or cleaner in, and let it ride. You can use the soap spray nozzle if you wish. I tend to avoid soaps or chemicals around the house. You can take the time to do a video on the things I missed.

@@OldSoulMillennial you didn't answer my question. How do you use the soap dispenser as far as HOW much soap you put in it
