I have unilateral hearing loss and I believe I am able to tell the direction of sounds--provided they are not too low in volume--by the vibrations they cause in the environment or upon my own bones I guess. :D I bet I'm not as good at it as ppl with normal hearing but I am not completely at loss either. But the absence of the "noise filter" is really a pain in the ass at parties, yeah, makes social interactions awkward. :/
Overall, Excellent explanations. Thanks for that. However, @ 1:30, clarification: one ear 10dB (LOSS) so both ears only 5 dB loss. You didn't say LOSS.
