I did that because every video I was putting out from September to December was getting Copyrighted. Lmao but thank you for letting me know you only watched for the movie or whatever and not my reaction. So tbh that's your personal problem. There are no successful youtube channels that show the movie as much as I was. Why? Because you can get your channel taken down. But you didn't know that did you? Of course you didn't, you don't care. All you care about is someone giving you the opportunity to watch a summary version of something you want to watch. And when I talk about successful channels I'm talking about channels that have over 500k subs. So Don't try to bring up small youtubers like that will prove your point. These Movie studios don't know about alot of these channels, but when they find out and they see people basically showing the whole movie while they're not talking. They will take down all their videos quick! You have to follow the law and fair use. But like I said of course you didn't know that, you're just a viewer. So know your role and shut your mouth. Not about to lose my channel or go to jail because you want me to show more of the movie and not talk as much.
@@HelloMellowXVI Aah good times, I remember watching the whole Harry Potter reaction during my playthrough of Dishonored 2. Had to pause the game at some of the juicy reaction parts 👌
I just realized Loki can’t get cold because he is a frost giant so props for the game on lady Loki and lady Loki even thought the same as Loki plays Along
he who remains (Jonathan Majors character) is basically a variant of Kang the conqueror. his real name is Nathaniel Richards, he was born in the 31st century (he is a descendant of Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic, leader of the fantastic 4). used several names: Rama Tut: When he traveled to ancient Egypt he became pharaoh and ruled until he was defeated by the Fantastic 4 (who had traveled to ancient Egypt). Scarlet Centurion: He created this alias after traveling to the 20th century and meeting Doctor Doom. fought and lost against the avengers Kang the Conqueror - Nathaniel returned to the future, but accidentally traveled to the 40th century, where he encountered a terrible war. Seeing an opportunity in his technological and strategic knowledge, he assumed the identity of Kang and created an unstoppable army with which he conquered entire galaxies. began to travel through time in order to study and observe his rivals, from his fortress outside the timeline (called Chronopolis) Immortus: A more experienced and peaceful version of Kang, He had goals completely contrary to Kang's, taking responsibility for his actions, his mission was to prevent the destruction of the natural flow of history. Iron Lad - A very young version of Kang. Nathaniel was contacted by his future self who showed him his destiny so that young Nathaniel would accept him faster, but seeing what he would become, he traveled to the past to ask the Avengers for help, his attempt was in vain, so (determined to act) created an armor from the remnants of vision adapting it to Kang's suit. fighting alongside the Young Avengers (a group of young superheroes) which was made up of: Wiccan (Billy Maximoff), Speed (Tommy Maximoff), Kate Bishop, Patriot (whose costume is inspired by the one Bucky wore in the war, in the comics), America Chavez, Cassie Lang (Scott Lang/Ant Man's daughter), Kid Loki (Loki's reincarnation) and Hulking (a mix between Krees and Skrulls).
I would've liked to have seen female Loki's relationship with her Thor (wonder if her Thor was a boy or a girl) and her family - the fact that they told her from the start that she was adopted seemed to have made her much more at ease with the fact rather than not telling her until she found out by accident as they did with our Loki and we generally get the idea she had a good relationship with her family, but sadly we never see it. We never do find out do we if child Loki killed his Thor deliberately or if it was an accident - the way he said "I killed Thor" could really go either way. I loved how Old Loki went out, facing death with a laugh and showing no fear, just like the Norse people who used to believe in Loki felt that you should face death, especially in battle (the worst fate for them would be to die of old age in bed, because to them that meant that you lived and died a coward and so could not go to Folkvangr or Valhalla).
Thor is male because timelines are created from specific history-defying events, and there’s no single event that would have caused both Odin and Laufey to sire daughters instead of sons. If the beginning of the first “Thor” movie is any guide, kid Thor started the fight that ended with kid Loki killing him.
The reason why Loki knows that the avengers traveled in time is explained in the same scene in which he mentions it. basically because he supposedly felt the colony of two tony starks. but he thought they traveled to the past to prevent him from becoming king
I love how the costume designers created Silvie's outfit with easy access for her to breastfeed her new baby...it's one of the few bts bits that made me smile and happy that they took the actress in to account as well Jonathan Majors has been confirmed to play Kang the Conqueror and him in this as He-Who-Remains is a variant of Kang and his line "see you soon" was him saying that we'll see Kang the Conqueror real soon and the statue at the end was Kang
Me and my friends have a theory about Sylvie's nexus event. We think that her event was that she was going to be too kind to be a Loki. Considering she was playing with a figure of a Valkyrie saving the day, and how she tried to yell for someone to help that one guy when she got to the TVA, it seems plausible.
This is what I also think, that she was admiring the Valkyrie and thus was starting down the path to becoming one of their number rather than the destructive force the TVA wanted to maintain.
26:47 Well Loki in the original norse myths was a shapeshifter which in this case also makes him literally gender fluid as he could change himself into a woman (human or animal) anytime he felt like it. So if we can't get a shapeshifting Loki then at least we get a female Loki
As soon as you expressed how much you love the little music notes in the beginning of the first episode, I knew youd be falling in love the whole show. It's so comprehensively well done
Hey man just wanted to say thanks for your channel and recaps, they are a blast. Currently waiting on watching Obi-Wan as my spouse has stomach flu and we've been star wars fans together for over 20 years. Watching your WandaVision recap and now this is getting me through this time of waiting. Keep doing what you're doing this is a great channel.
They made it clear that every decision branches a timeline, but not every branch is a nexus event. Events need to deviate enough to be considered a nexus event. This means the Sacred Timeline is more like a rope of tightly wound timelines that a singular timeline, and they are constantly trimming back and keeping neat as it frays. In fact, because they can change the sensitivity of detecting nexus energy, I bet they’ve been tightening the Sacred Timeline over… time. Sylvie’s nexus event would have been when she did something that deviated too far from the Sacred Timeline. She was playing Valkyries at the time, pretending to be a hero. I bet she was beginning the path to become a hero and that was the nexus event. Now she’s screwed up from a lifetime of being perused. He Who Remains stopped all “bad” versions of himself from existing by destroying all branches in the timeline off the Sacred Timelines. Now that time has been allowed to branch unimpeded again, those versions have been allowed to come into existence again. And by the very nature of time, it’s already happened, so, as I say on everyone’s episode 6 video… Immortus is dead, long live Kang… aw, crap… Btw, from what I understand, the TVA exists in the Null-Time Zone outside of time, so it looks like the TVA has already been conquered and changed.
You actually didn’t get the TVA and Void. They're out of the timeline. He who remains kills all his variants timeline as soon as they gets created. So when he died none is pruning his variants so new timelines get created. Actually when he said he doesn’t know what's going to happen that moment new branch started to sperate from the main branch so when Selvy sent loki to tva there was already more then one Kang(he who remains) so more then one tva and loki went to a random one.
@@austincarlson9270 you should watch the season finale again I think 😑. They literally showed main tva Morbius and B15 saying they've done it. And then cut to the tva where Loki is and their Morbius and B15 doesn’t know who loki is.
@@__Nightmare_ YOU should watch it again. The TVA she sent him to was the same one, just ruled by a different Kang because of the timeline branches. A different Kang was in charge. Why the heck would there be multiple TVAs with the same Mobius and the same B-15? It's just the same TVA with a different runner. There's no purpose for multiple TVAs because the purpose is to run one sacred timeline.
Loved this series, and watching your reaction! Just wondering if you saw Spiderman NWH before watching the Loki series? Because basically if the events of this show didn't occur in the MCU, the cinematic cross over with the Spiderman variants wouldn't be possible
Because of what happened in Loki with Kang, this is the reason why we are experiencing all the chaos in Spiderman and in Multiverse of madness. This was confirmed by Kevin Fiege. Kang is the new big threat in MCU. The new Thanos
I've caught many of your reaction VODs and have to admit yours is one of the better ones, you not only react to storyline, but also music, cinemetography, and acting skills. Some reactors get boring over time, yours is always fresh. Not to mention the cuts you put in for the laughs (The Frozen one was my favorite this VOD "I should tell him...") I also find it refreshing you edit your quick takes in, rather than try to talk over the video, so many reactors miss something because they are too busy trying to talkduring their reaction. Look forward to seeing your take on Season 2 when it comes!
Regarding the whole Infinity Stones thing in Ep 1. The stones only have power in their respective universe. Outside that universe, they're shiny rocks. That's why they're used as paperweights and stuff. They're worthless outside of their own universe/timeline.
That's how it works in the comics, but doesn't seem to be how they're treating the stones in the mcu. I think the idea is meant to be something unique to the TVA is stopping the stones from working instead. What If spoilers: Dr Strange and Ultron could both use infinity stones outside of their own universes in What If. We even had Ultron's time stone directly countered by Strange using his own time stone.
they aren't the same person. that's what people can't seem to get about the variants. they ARE different people, because their lives are different. they are genetically identical, but what makes YOU is more than a name or your dna. i think that is ultimately the point.
The Director (Kate Herron) of this series actually played the theremin (primitive electronic musical instrument from the early 1900s) on the soundtrack- you can tell she was a huge music nerd, and probably gave the composer a long leash!
55:37 That's Throg, the frog version of Thor, jumping in the jar attempting to reach Mjolnir. 1:12:28 He Who Remains DID win the Multiversal War. He used Aoliath to erase the other timelines, and their variants of himself. He is literally the only version of himself at this moment.
Yoo Mel, I love watching your video, your commentary and video edits are awesome. I watch alot of RU-vidrs and I got to say you are definitely my top 3 RU-vidr. I recently just watch the movie "Scott pilgrim vs the world" starring Michael cera as the main character and I loved it. the awesome camera shots and fight scenes are amazing. The director really went all out. If you can, you should react to it. You will definitely 100% like it💯 if not it's cool keep up the 🔥 content
yeah, that movie is fantastic!! Edgar Wright (the director) did an immaculate job. and it's funny to see all current popular actors play some funny roles, please watch it.
He Who Remains did win the multiversal war (because he's the only variant of himself around during Loki), but he only did so using the TVA and Alioth to get rid of other variants that would kill him or disrupt the TVA, in a way that would lead to his other variants being released and the war being fought over. Which is what happens at the end of the series, there are not multiple TVAs, the multiversal war was refought, after He Who Remains is killed, with a much more dangerous variant of himself winning the war and taking control of the same TVA. Owen Wilson doesn't remember Loki because Kang has changed the timeline.
Great reaction bro! 👍🏿 I hate how RU-vid is messing with you. Your MCU reaction videos are out of order. But, it's not your fault. Keep on grinding. Your hard work shall not be in vain. And I love your overall presentations for your reactions. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Also, Sylvie didn't send him to a different universe in the end There is only one TVA for the whole multiverse Last time the Kangs conquered each other's universes, so one of them created TVA to stop it Now, that He who remains is dead and timelines have branched, one of the Kangs from those went bad And now that the TVA exists he took over the TVA first instead of the universes So everything got reset...that's why no one remembers loki, cuz now Kang was the timekeeper all along Loki, Sylvie, Revonna and the people at the void at the end of time...are the only ones who still remember
holy shit you are the first to make sense of this to me, this makes a ton of sense actually, I guarantee loki will get mobious to get on his side in the second season, this and the new thor are two projects I'm truly excited for
@@oliviarogers2808 I dunno, the finale in moon knight was like the show was waiting to take a shit for 12 hours, it was the shortest episode and the reason harrow died is because of an off screen reference
@@oliviarogers2808 also the climax of the whole show was resolved because of an alluded personality and not from what mark and Steven learned throughout the show
@@oliviarogers2808 mmm, it felt really cheap, and I'm not too sure what you mean by what the other two did with him. Also a finale definitely dictates how well a show will land, take wandavision for example
loki and moon knight are by far the best series they have dropped but even then they can't still make a series more or equally as entertaining as loki was
Somebody might have already answered this but the composer is Natalie Holt. SHe also does the music for Obi-Wan! I agree, the soundtrack is absolute FIRE. This is my favorite of all the MCU shows. I might be biased because Loki has always been my favorite character but I just absolutely loved this show and I'm so excited for the next season.
Yeah, post covid a lot of actors who said they wouldn't do X,Y,Z, started doing them. Christopher Eccleston said he'd NEVER do anything Dr. Who related ever again, but after covid shut down the film & TV industry for 12+ months he took a job doing a Dr. Who radio plays. And when asked he said he did it just for the $$ cause after covid shut everything down had had to make do with what he could get. Not saying Owen also thought that about the MCU, but that the covid shutdowns may have played a role.
Imagine that you've been told that you are destined to fail and you can't succeed in life no matter what you do, no matter how powerful you've become, no matter how much you've changed. I would be bitter too. Tom play this character so well. He captured every emotions. Loki's grief, anger, jealousy, disappointments, playfulness and more. Tom Hiddleston 🔥
So fun fan theory. If you line up the Loki and wandavision finales, the moment Wanda accepts herself as the scarlet witch is the moment that he says they’ve “crossed the threshold”
That's he who remains.....the man's name was Nathaniel Richards.. Reed Richards father (Fantastic Four) and also KANG the Conquerer the Time Travelling villain.. the next biggest threat in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Loved this show, and pretty much had the same reaction as you when it came to Loki as a character-study. Next, you gotta see him in Guillermo del Toro's "Crimson Peak"!
I love how when our Loki declares he will kill Alioth, he gestures openly with his arms and the way he says it, is oddly very similar to Thor when he declares something. I just thought it was cute xD. Loved your binge reaction Mell! Cant wait for you to see more MCU! :)
When he said "we just crossed the threshold" that was because at that very moment dr.strange did his "favour" for Peter parker and messed with the multiverse
Little detail I always liked about this show is that Sylvie doesn't know any magic besides enchantment because she got arrested before her mother could teach her, so unlike Loki she can't change her appearance with magic and that's why her hair is bleached blonde with dark roots showing.
DB Cooper really existed . I wish they had more real history where loki and the asgardians goofed off in history. I’d also love shorts where they reenact actual Norse myths with the actors. Like freyjas “wedding”
The filming technology that you said Disney used for things like The Mandalorian is called "The Volume". It is a set with a big screen wrapped around it with the cgi environment rear-projected onto it. That way most of the important stuff is actually caught "in camera" like lighting and reflections on shiny stuff.
The battleship is the USS Eldridge, which supposedly teleported and/or traveled through time in a failed radar cloaking experiment during WWII. The story was made into a movie - The Philadelphia Experiment - in the 80's. (worth watching if you ever have the time)
What 'He who remains' did is, he rewrote the timeline so he won't be born in any universe bcoz they will cause the multiversal war again He sacrificed all versions of himself so the multiverse will be at peace All and any timelines he pruned would have eventually led to Kang being born in the future
I think Sylvie and Loki had no real Nexus Event and they were just caused by He Who Remains activating a Nexus spike, that way they could be led towards him. Same thing with Classic Loki, he was only arrested by the TVA so he could help Loki get to He Who Remains in the future. Sylvie and Loki had a Nexus spike on Lamentis which was also caused by He Who Remains to keep them alive and lead them towards him. This is why no one was sure why there was a Nexus spike when there was about to be a life wipeout. Loki did mention that during total wipeouts on the timeline, anything can be done as long as the witnesses are killed by the natural disaster. As He Who Remains said, he paved the road.
So, it's not an INFINITE number of different possibilities, but think about every single atom in the universe. Nonono...too big. Think about the number of cells in your body.....still too big. Think about every person you personally know. Every single day, they make BILLIONS of actions. Automatic and manual ones. Your heart beats just a little faster or slower than normal, new timeline. You turn left or right, new timeline. You have to pee, every second you wait is a new timeline. Then, think there's 8 billion humans. Then, the animals on Earth. That's just Earth. In the MCU there's at least 20 other alien races that we know of. Add all them in. Then we'll start getting into the fact that every cell in their bodies having ever so slight differences is another timeline. Completely identical to the last, except their immune system took a second longer to eat a bacteria....billions of times a day. Go deeper, every atom in motion changing course just slightly more or less, faster or slower, every variance is a new timeline. Since there's a finite amount of mass in the universe, by definition, there can't be infinite changes. But, the number is so unbelievably huge, that infinite is the only way we can describe it. But it's not, not really.
Actually the language thing bothers me a lot. In the comics the asgardians speak the alltongue so basically it's a language that anyone, everywhere can understand. This has never been explained in the MCU except but the headcanons that they were taught human language but like..... If so how the fuck loki doesn't speak the natives language? Or maybe he does but he's shock he wasn't recognized? Idk
If nobody has said it the plane where Loki stole money was a little joke that happened in real life where this guy named D.B cooper stole money in a plane and he parachuted out of a plane and nobody knows if he lived or died because they didn’t find a body and it happened in 1971 and has been a unsolved case so this was just a little joke to that
Fun fact! The part where Kang explains that he has no idea whats going to happen is in sync with Doctor Strange messing up Spider-Man's spell. Technically, because of Doctor Strange, the multiverse exist.
Bruh Sylvie wasn’t a varient and taken cuz she was a woman.. it’s unknown really but that there is the problem with our society. When something happens people look at the most surface level possible. If it was cuz she was a woman why would they come at age 8-9? Why not the moment she was born? Other than that great video
Loki was able to know that the Avengers were time traveling because of the skills he learned from Frigga, since she knew that Thor was from the future.
I was disproved but when the NWH trailer cameout, I thought that when Strange cast the spell and peter screwed it up, thats when the tineline started to branch and it "crossed the threshold" and thats why at the end of WandaVision, she starts hearing her kids voices, I thought she was able to hear them from a different universe and thats also how Ultron was able to hear the Watcher
They are actually at a renaissance faire, just google for your local state ren faire and youll find one. I worked my local one here in los angeles this year, and it has already ended but I know there are 3 or 4 going on around the country right now. Check it out, have some fun.
This was by far the best episode on that show imo. Jonathan Majors has so much presence in his performance, so im really hyped to see his variants (next one being in Ant Man 3). The reason why the timeline was branching at the "threshold point" was due to the TVA "employees" not working anymore after being shown that they are variants living a lie.
In the comics, Loki had a romantic interest, sorta, with a female Asgardian magic user called The Sorceress. I assume the female Loki is the equivalent. She and Loki would cause all kinds of mischief and try to screw each other over during their plots.
"Sylvie" is the name of the second Enchantress in the comics - though she's not particularly close to Loki. They mixed a few different characters together to make the TV version
I don't alwalys agree w/ your opinions on scenes(though obviously I mostly do. Min of 90%) but I love your vids and idk why but your laugh makes my day(😂)! Still waiting on scary movie 3 and Monty python's 'And Now For Something Completely Different '... Just sayin... Still gonna be watching regardless lol
It really bothers me that these regular ass people can even stand a chance against Loki and Sylvie, two Frost Giants, in physical combat, let alone throw them around or hurt them.
That’s my only major gripe. They should not be able to physically contend with any Loki. The Sacred Timeline variant was capable of going fisticuffs with Thor and Valkyrie, who are quite clearly superhuman to a ridiculous degree. The average TVA Minuteman looks like they’re pulled at random from Earth or another planet hosting humanoid life. In general they seem to be downplaying Loki’s physical strength further and further as the films go on in favor of his trickery and magic.
@@HelloMellowXVI i loved that scene. Still confused by Loki’s planet level telekinesis shown when he lifts a BUILDING with his mind, but man was it a masterclass in editing and cinematography
