Some highlights from the weekend surfing down at Bingin beach in Bali. With the first large swell forecast for the season most of the Bukit peninsular turned on for a few days. We had not even heard about Bingin in 1969 when I first arrived in Bali but the old WA rig divers staying at my losmen knew about it in 1980 when I returned. Magic waves. One of the divers won a Porsche in an Art union lottery whilst I was there. The lucky bastard. They had some wicked blocks of hsah of various types which we would sample with our cup copi listening to Dire Sraits in the mornings before going surfing. Those were the days my friend we hoped they'd never end. Just the name "Bingin" brings back the memories and the smell of clove cigarettes. Regards@@photobossbali

Depends which forecast site you use? This video was over a long weekend at Bingin so different forecasts on different days. Swell peaked at 6ft at 15seconds on the Surfline forecast. Thanks

@@photobossbali I'm wondering which size is the best for a low-end intermediate surfer to surf Bingin and get out of there without reef scratches or long hold downs hehe. The size in the video looks fun and doable.

@@finzosk8 Ok try surfing it on the higher tides. Low tide is really shallow. Check it on the moderate swell forecasts. maybe like 3 to 4 foot. If you want a surf guide try contacting Steamy facebook.com/artakasteamy. He will help you get the best waves there.
