Can you pls tell me when it ask you to proof you have been living in uk, which document did you upload. My wife doesn’t have a driving licence. Just bills, council tax letter. Benefit letters.. national insurance number.
Informative. It's good to hear what actually happens at this appointment. I have mine in 4 days time and I'm stressing right now trying to make sure I've uploaded all the documents they need. I find there's not a lot of good information about this process and the website itself isn't very informative. For example, on the upload page, for your passport it says: Triscan of applicant's Travel Document photo page only using Workstation Biometric Device. OK, what is this? Triscan and using workstation biometric device sounds like a device at the appointment. But it's on your upload page for you to upload and it is mandatory. I can't find any information about what this thing is, so I'm just going to scan my passport and upload that in pdf like it says. And then the optional categories are not explained. You don't know how many documents to upload- 10...? 100? What's the right amount? I'm trying to include a pay slip from every year (I've lived in the UK for 24 years). Plus some bills, council tax notices, a couple documents sent to me by the NHS, birth certificate etc. But I honestly don't know if I'm doing it right and there's just no guidance.
I’m so glad this video is helpful, don’t let the categories of documents confuse you. Home office will give you a list of all the documents you need to upload, check that and make sure only those are uploaded, it’ll save you time & stress. Don’t worry about uploading your important documents yourself (E.g passport) they will do this for you at the appointment. If you’re still confused I suggest paying for the document scanning service to avoid any further delays to your application. Hope this helps x

Awww congratulations dear - quick question I’m currently waiting on mine it’s 9weeks today .Did you receive an email first or they just posted the certificate? Thank you
Hi Isabella so happy for you on your citzenship. Please can you tell me how to prove residency in uk for biometric appointment. Is it by showing the travelling on passports ?
I am doing my English test tomorrow, and then submitting my application, how soon will I be able to get my biometrics done? I have 1 month to do it but cannot check which appointments are available because I can’t submit my application yet, I am worried that I will pay all that money for my application and not be able to get to a biometrics appointment
HEY so what the whole BIOMETRIC appointment for so basically just scan ur passport and take a figure print and a photo that it like no need to bring any extra documents? I just want to know I’m gonna apply in couple months and just want to know how it work basically
Hello 👋 thanks for your informative video i just I would like to ask you a question. My UKVCAS tomorrow for spouse visa I paid the IHS I got the one email but I haven't got the confirmation email yet. The reference number appears on my application but I haven't got the email and I heard that it's very important to have the confirmation email. I'm really stuck 😐 please help
So the Standard appointment is basically to collect your biometrics? By the way, I've already uploaded the Residence Permit Card, along with the other documents
Hi I have my appointment tomorrow, thank you for your advice. This is really useful. ps. How many years have you been living in UK? keep us updated on your decision .x
I’m so glad you found this useful! Best of luck with everything, I have been living in the UK for 15 years now. And Ofcourse I definitely will, I plan to do more videos on my British Citizenship Journey :) x
@eye mavic it was very fast , I uploaded lots of supporting documents, so they have been checked, face picture, and fingerprints. That is it! It took me 20 mins ( but nearly 1,5h to get to Liverpool). My appointment was on 13 of Feb, and I am still waiting for a decision from the Home Office.
@@sonianazarko6546 hey thanks for your reply, I will upload few more supporting documents just incase, can I take the QR code printed? Hope u get a decision soon, keep us updated
have a browse before you choose an appointment date. you might find a free one, like i did. booked mine for cca mid august. also i'm traveling out late august for a week, so i hope i won't have to send my passport to them around that time. though i heard somewhere that i can register my 'settlement status' with my national id instead of passport, which might allow me to return to the uk on my national id, i'll have to reseach that option.
Hello just wanted to let you know my letter just came I've been accepted for british citzenship from 2nd March biometrics to now they say because I'm under 18 in within 3 weeks naturalisation certificate should come on letter it was 25th March so 2 weeks
Im going in 4 days for my mrs expired brp card what documents of hers do i take with me ive scanned her passport and expired brp card on the website what else do i need to scan do i print out the concent signing in form?
Great video! Thank you🙏🏾 I just wanted to ask was there a lot of documents you had to submit? How many documents did you submit for proof of living in the UK? I watched another video and that person uploaded over 100 documents as proof of residency so now I’m thinking I don’t have enough documents. Also you said they scanned you passport as part of the standard appointment, does that mean I don’t have to upload a picture of my passport my self then?
Hey, thank you for watching! No you do not need 100 documents. You just need enough documents to prove that you have lived in the UK for 5 years I used my University letter+ Sixth form letter to prove my 5years here. No you do not have to upload a picture of your passport!
Thank you so much for your response!! I have booked the appointment and in the email it says not to bring any of the documents I’ve already uploaded. Would you say the document checking service is worth paying for? It seems like a lot of money for just checking if documents are uploaded😅
After doing biometric to UKVCAS what next ? Where we can check the status ? What are the next step to do ? Do we have to apply for the passport ? Please help
Hey, hope you are well! Unfortunately you can't track the process, you'll only hear from home office if you need to upload more evidence or once your application has been approved. Can take up to 8 weeks to receive a decision. Good Luck !
Isabella u pretty and cheers for the vid. I lost my biometric card and i have my appointment in 2 weeks. I have uploaded all documents even pics of my lost card. Will that also take more than 3 months? I so dont want a bad outcome from this
If you have uploaded all the documents online, it should be okay. Just call home office and confirm this’ll be okay as I can’t advise you on this. Also thank you for the lovely compliment 😊
Submitted mine a month ago. (I was born here) I never uploaded my documents online I got it scanned by them - am I missing a step? How did they contact you to confirm your application, letter email or both? Good video
Sorry wanted to know how long your application update email took for you to recieve and completion email and did they send anything by post or all email?
That's great! And yes not everyone is eligible to use the IDV App, most people like you would have received an invitation to use this app :) I hope your application is successful!
@@Isabellasm01 thanks and no problem at all. I did mine last year and it took 2.5 months to get the approval email. I’m sure yours will be fine as well 🙏🏾
Hi, I have been waiting since Feb 13 , stressing as I would like to invite people to my ceremony, but everyone will be leaving home for the summer holidays. Is there any chance you can speed up the process or even ring for an update ? Has anyone tried ? Thanks x
Hi isabella, I have a spouse visa and my BRP expires April I have used the standard service and uploaded all documents, do I still need to scan all documents and take it with me? Would I need to pay for anything else on the day? I'm stressed out with this, appreciate your help thanks.
Hey, If you have booked the Standard appointment, only take your BRP and passport, possibly proof of marriage. With standard appointments they usually take pictures, signatures and scan only the important documents. Good luck with it all ! :)
@@Isabellasm01 Thank you so much for your reply, much appreciated, I have uploaded all my important documents, my BRP has expired so needs renewal, if there is anything else I need to take please let me know isabella? Will keep you updated
Literally just booked my appointment going 2nd of March I'm 16 need to have my citzenship by June to join the the British army by September otherwise I have to wait for February 2024
@Isabella S M if you were to base it of your sisters application as she's under 18 from March the 2nd when would you expect my citzenship to be approved I started my process in December the 2nd
I've been in UK since birth I'm Portuguese be parents have everything I need settled status indefinite leave to remain even a english birth certificate I just need a time frame
Hey, travel different countries? Or cities? If you are planning to travel countries whilst waiting for a decision from the home office your application won't be valid if you stay in that country for 180 days. Otherwise you can travel whilst you're awaiting a decision
I’ve been told the decision is made within 8 week after submitting biometric. It’s been almost 5 week since I’ve sent my biometrics. Hopefully don’t need to wait more than 8 weeks.
@@Isabellasm01 yeah spoke to mp's office they said they will have a look into it and speak to home office hoping to get news from them now ..xx thanks for asking dear xx
@@Isabellasm01 I applied for my biometric residence permit three years ago. I’m about to start applying for citizenship. Can I use the same biometric for my citizenship application?
update: I’ve received an update I got approved and I’m currently waiting to book my citizenship ceremony 😊I waited 11 weeks for my application to be approved. Will vlog the journey/ unboxing my passport & passport interview.
