Thank you for your experience in the Biometrics! I am a South African and have posted all origional suppoerting documents to the UKVI as they requested that. I was abit concerened since the Biometrics "confirmed appointment" form I just recieved is asking for my origional supporting documents! I am hoping they will see all my supporting documents on their system as they did for you. Thanks again for ypur video. Emil from SouthAfrica.
Thank you very much! your video answered my question regarding another fee to pay for biometrics. I know a biometric fee of £19.20 was added to my already very expensive visa application and when I went to book a biometric appointment, I saw there was an additional fee and didn't see any free option. I will try your suggestion and login at midnight to look for free option. Thank you again!
Thank you for your video, I am coming back to let you know that you can get a free appointment in the UKVCAS, everyday at 9am they release free slots, you have to search in the calendar but you can get one for free and save that money, good luck everyone,
Hi! Very useful information. :) Currently in the process of uploading the documents on UKVCAS. For proof of living in the UK for the past 5 years, would be sufficient my passport and ILR settled status letter? Or do I still need to provide each letter from previous employers, HMRC letters, or P60s stating my employment history in the past 5 years? I don't want to upload more than the necessary documents, plus I need to go back through a whole stack of files. Thx
Thank you so much dear to share your experience..God bless you...I am so worried about some things but now its more informative thank you so much. I really appreciate for your afforts
How do you sign up for UKVCAS? Do you even sign up or they direct you to that after the submisson on the UKVI application? Also, when does the Post Office verifies your application? How is that done?
Thanks so much for this info Charlene, Does the date you submit your online application , prior to the biometrics appt count as the day one applies? This is vital for me because only a few days later my five year period runs out. And ill have to wait more than one month. So is the date i apply the one that counts? or the date one gets the biometrics? thank you!
My wife has been asked to take the test, although she has been living here and working for 30 + years. There seem to be a few organistations which do the test, but looking online it seems some offer computerised tests only, rather than one-to-one interviews Which is less stressful would you say
You just online need upload ? Not sure if just need to upload and not press submit for UKIV before my appointment to UKVCAS or you should upload and also submit?
Thank you for your video .Can you pls let me know how much cost apply biometric card? On online and How long will take BRP card in your hand . After we get shall we apply directly British citizenship ? Pls let me know ?
Hi, may I ask if they have take away your original passport copy at some point? I have uploaded but not submitted my supporting documents and I have booked for the Biomectric center this week; I am traveling in a month, so a bit worried about them taking away my passport.
I've found free appointments, but not very close to home . I don't think you need to print an appointment email with qr code as long as you have an electronic version.
I have a question ! I'm completing the form to get the citizenship and i'm at the page of biometric enrolment but i don't understand what to do !!! I don't live in uk so i don't know what to complete !!!! Do i need to take the appointement first ?
Hi I wanted to ask: During the biometrics appointment, I haven’t showed my reference forms with the signed autographs to the staff. They didn’t ask for it either as they saw I’ve scanned and uploaded the references forms online. But with online, they cant see the signed autographs. Will I have to send it via post or is it not needed anymore?
Hey hope you're doing great, i was hoping someone would ask this question but noone did. After you've completed your application and directed to book your appointment, were there appointments for the next day, next week, next 2 weeks, what options were showed to you, thats what i really would love to know. Thanks
Hello. This depends on the service point that you chose. You can select different service points to have a peek of which has the soonest available appointments. That is if you are not bothered by the location or distance from you. I preferred the closest service point to me so I only settled with what they’ve got during that time. Hope this helps.
@@erzsebettoth3495 tbh when i asked this, it was during peaking times of Covid, so it should be alot better now and you would be able to get an appointment the next day or same week
Hello, thank you so much for sharing your experience, it is hugely appreciated! May I ask if you received a biometric card at some point after your appointment? I had mine over three months ago and so far no biometric cards have arrived.
Hello. I applied for british citizenship so I did not need and did not receive a BRP card. If you are applying for other visa, try to contact them if you are expecting a card and haven’t received one yet.
@@TheWooloffs hey, thank you so much for your reply! I also attended the biometric appointment as a part of my citizenship application but at the end I got a bit confused whether I should also receive a BRP card at some point or not. Thanks again for clarifying, in this case I only need to wait for the Home Office decision 🙂 All the best, Anna
Uploading documents are not mandatory. I am not sure about that. Can you confirm that? I'd prefer paying for checking and scanning rather than failing to provide the right documents.
Applied for a uk visa November 2020 from jamaica attended biometric appointment, my passport was returned with no letter enclosed . Received no email nothing. What do I do? Who can I contact to enquire ? I need the visa to visit uk for medical asap. Please help?
Hello thank you for the video. What if I have all documents uploaded in UKVCAS but don’t submit them before the appointment? Would they look at the documents and then submit them all during the appointment ?
Regards Proof of travel during the last 3 years, I read that you need to scan every page of your passport showing past visa "Tourist visas and spouse Visa" , Can you advise on this, Do we just scan the first page and the passport then gets checked during the Bio metric appointment ? (My wife has already had a her Bio metrics done) and are they still sending out invites to those who have had their biometrics done for ILR ? Any advice would be great
Hi thank you for all the infos, really helpful. I am currently applying for citizenship i just filled the forms online and I will have my biometric in 3 weeks. My questions is, Do i still need to upload my documents on UKVCAS if i paid for the documents scanning? It's that mean i just have to bring my documents and they can upload it for me? Thank you .hope to hear from you soon. God bless

So if I applied through post and send everything through post then how do I pay? Also, would I only receive an email about booking the biometric appointment only after I’ve received my all my documents back?
hi, I am following your video and I liked it . the only thing how do we upload proof of address, should be in category OTHERS. as a spouse we need to upload proof from last three years. if you just guide me.
Hi thank you so much for these videos so helpful.do i need to 'submit' after uploading documents Before i go for my biometric appointment just incase it isn't done correctly by me?
Hello. If you paid for a service where they would check your documents for you, you can wait to submit until your appointment. I think I read somewhere during your appointment they will check your uploaded document and if it isn’t clear or it needs rescanning they will scan it for you. This is why it is advised that you bring your original documents during your appointment.
@@TheWooloffs oh thank you for your quick reply..i did not pay for extra services but i did pay £110 for this appointment, even though i already paid £19.20 with the fee.so ideally they should help check uploaded documents 😅.i hope, like u said, thats the reason they ask us to bring original documents.I will throw a fit if they do not check it!🥵sorry for the rant dear and thanks again!💟
It was great video thanks, i have question, my spouse is British Citizen, so do I have to bring the original passport of my spouse to the Bio center or only the applicant's original passport?
Hello. I brought my husband’s british passport with me during my biometric appointment but they didn’t check it. Did you already scan and upload your wife’s passport into UKVCAS? To be sure, i suggest to bring your wife’s passport with you in case they need to rescan it again.
@@Mo-bs6od Hi, may I ask if they have take away your original passport copy at some point? I have uploaded but not submitted my supporting documents and I have booked for the Biomectric center this week; I am traveling in a month, so a bit worried about them taking away my passport.
Very informative video thank you. I applied for my citizenship application two months ago, received an email yesterday saying I need to make biometric appointment within 10 days even though ive given my biometric on the appointment day when they submitted the documents. I tried calling no answer I'm a little worried as what if they lost my biometric or do you think they usually take it twice ? Please if you had the same experience kindly let me know. Cheers
Thank you I just want to know We also received sons passport There last page have to write address There from first page little white sheet coming to the edge of front page before the address page
Hello Please explain to me how to prove that I live and work in the UK for the last 5 years? What evidence I need? And how to proof my nationality? Thank you
Hello. For proof of living in the Uk for 5 years, you may include your passport, letter from employer, hmrc letter stating your employment history in the past 5 years or your P60s during those period.
Hi. I think they will send you a pass code and that’s what you’ll use in completing the form. Also they should send an email with that code. You may use a copy of that email as an evidence.
I am in Pakistan and My husband applied from uk for my Visa through solicitor more than 2 months ago But every time solicitor says Sorry no appointment available due to covid 19 ,what shall we do
Hello. Is this for biometric appointment? I am not sure at the moment because of national lockdown. Hope you can get an appointment soon. You or your solicitor can keep trying and checking the UKVCAS website if there are any available.
Hello. A little over a month. Please see this video for the details of my complete application timeline - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Au0GrhaOr9Y.html
Hi Wooloffs, I am the lead applicant for the visa. How can I add my wife and kids, dependent applicants to my appointment? Thank you for your time to answer my question!
Hello. I checked the government website. It says - If your application includes family members, you must all go to an appointment together. Please check here: www.gov.uk/ukvcas I think if during your online application you’ve included your wife and kids then when book your appointment it should show yours and their names.
Hello I’ve watched your video as I am about to have my biometric next week I just want to ask if there is a need for me to upload my supporting documents? Just for your info I am applying via EU settlement scheme. I was able to come here using EU family permit and unfortunately I couldn’t find a free schedule for my biometric nearby my place that’s why I’m forced to buy the service standard appointment that cost £201.
Hello. You can bring your supporting documents during your biometric appointment and they will scan and submit it for you but with a fee. I used standard appointment and it didn’t include scanning and submitting of my documents.
Hi, may I ask if they have take away your original passport copy at some point? I have uploaded but not submitted my supporting documents and I have booked for the Biomectric center this week; I am traveling in a month, so a bit worried about them taking away my passport.
Hello Kabayan, did u submitted some billing statements of you & your spouse name on it ( last 3 or 5 yrs..)? & do they need tenancy agreement for the last 5 years? Maraming salamat po. God Bless.
Hello Kabayan! No I did not submit tenancy agreement, billing statements etc. I only submitted our passports as proof of residency in the UK. It will show the stamps showing the dates we were out of the country. Also, during your online application they will specify the documents that you will need to submit. In my case they didn’t ask for those documents so I only submitted those that were on the list. I hope this answers your question. And all the best on your application. Hope all goes well. 😊
Hi, very informative video. question, did you change your surname to your husband surname? if yes, could you mind to share the information aswell thank you!
Hello. In paper form application, I am not sure. When I applied for my work visa in paper form back in 2011, I paid £19.20 in the post office where I had my biometrics enrolled. Sorry if this does not answer your question.

@@TheWooloffs from what I have seen in the UK gov website shows that after december 2019 you dont get any certificate just a code that you put into your application. Did you do the test before december?
I had my test way back in 2017. I read about it and it says that you have to make note of your reference number when you passed the test and use that number on your application.
thanks for the video, maybe someone can help me. I paid the documents scanning service but i managed to do it myself before the appointment. Do ukvcas refund the money that I paid for it ?

@@diana-cy4kj Thank you so much. One more question. I have applied the citizenship by filling in the form and posting all documents with it. Will they be asking for documents when I attend the biometric appointment?
@@Casa43635 I applied the same way. You will not need any other papers when going for your appointment, only some form of ID ( I took my driver's license ). It will be a very simple procedure - they will check your ID, take your photo and your fingerprints. And that’s it.
@@niviamaeva I can replied you right now as I’ve printed all my documents for nothing, you only need uploaded them all online, that’s I wasted my time printed all. Also after 3 months waiting, my citizen has been accepted and I’ve got my British passport :)
Hello. After you paid, you will receive an email confirmation then it will contain a link to ukvcas. You will need your email address you used in the application to login to ukvcas.
To be safe, it is better to bring your original documents with you during your biometric appointment. The passport, you definitely need to bring it because they check it even at the lobby/reception together with your qr code.
Do i need to retake my Life in the UK test? i passed it already last year when i applied for my ILR. And the proof of residences i was being housed by an agency, would their certification of where i was housed enough as a proof?
