This is literally THE PERFECT "what you should know" video, I was hesitant to watch it because I don't want to spoil even the visuals in the game but DAMN I'm glad I did :D Thing with water in biohazard zones would be super counter intuitive for me and I would miss it for sure!
That first bit is essential for me. That you can change how your character looks like without it affecting the stats is really important to me because from what I've seen high int starting characters are looking absolutely hideos and too goofy for me. And I wanted to make a psy-freak. This way I can make it as big brain as needed and later fix it's ugly mug.
@@Schecter31 hmm got it, but instead of armor it's just character here. Philosophically it's the same idea right, to change something on a cosmetic level without affecting it on the mechanical level? Or is transmog specific language meant for armor or weapons only, in the sense is there a separate word for changing character appearance without affecting stats? Because in *this* game, the appearance of the character at the start is directly contingent on what race/class you go with, right, that's why I thought the word could be used, maybe I'm wrong and the usage isn't accurate, but if so, wanted to know if there was another word for character appearance lol
Sub'd for Divinity OS2, stayed for the best Biomutant coverage. I don't play many games anymore but you always seem to have the best input on the few I do.

Yep. I want the stats but not the look so it's nice to know we can change shape after. It makes the stats/looks option at the start kind of pointless. They mite as well have made them separate from the start.

Absolute legend - these times when everyone, I mean EVERYONE is making content about Biomutant, where most of it is just repeating the same thing over and over again from the same footage everyone seen hundreds of times - you come out with the video where almost none of the points are mentioned in other videos :) I tip my hat to that, mister!
To be fair, right now Fextralife and like one other RU-vidr are the only ones given permission to actually talk about things they’ve discovered within their copies of the game; everyone else is barred from doing so until the embargo is lifted on the 24th, which is why everyone else is only talking about information gleaned from publicly available footage. That’s why it seems Fextralife is the only one giving us new information - ie he’s basically the only one allowed to.
Game-hopping stranger: The world is full of stupid people, best use the most blatantly obvious color to highlight weak points and pathways. But even then...will it be enough? True Gamer: God fucking dammit! Who keeps leaving this graffiti making every game easy mode!? To hell with this, I'm going to play a Souls game so I can feel better and be mislead by trolls into comiting suicide.
OMG thank you so much for letting us know you can actually change your character's body completely after starting. I was absolutely going to pick my character abilities or class based almost entirely on how they impacted my appearance before I knew this.
I remember being so excited for this game when it was announced and then slowly giving up hope it was ever going to come out. Really hope it turns out good!

I have absolutely fallen in love with the quarkiness of this game. Also it is better to break down equipment you are not using until you can get your barter skill up(charisma) you will need those mats for later when updrading armor and weapons(upgrading quality and stuff at benches)
@@nicholasqualters Yup games like The last of us 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 two games who would think to be great were both disasters at launch while Biomutant just might succeed.

@@shredderorokusaki3013 yeah I’m having a huge amount of fun with the game. Of course it isn’t perfect but no game ever is.. I must say though that this game has some of the COOLEST combat & weapons systems I’ve seen for a while. You can make some truly unique set ups and weapons. It’s very enjoyable to me.

See now I know to put my biohazard resistance up a little more than the rest. I was just gonna leave it centered so everything would be equal. Also being able to change appearance is awesome. Subscribed btw.
If you press "y" on xbox, probably "triangle" on ps in character customization (the part where you choose the stats) you get a different "set" of looks to choose from
I'd like to know what Stefan was talking about when he said they found something cool you could do that was unintended,, maybe the water resetting your resistances?? Which is awesome by the way
Legacy gaming has an interview with him and I think he explains that, I know what your trying to say and I wish I remembered what Stefan exactly said. It's a 13 minute video I do believe.
Will they patch it up or leave it I wonder. From what I seen of past interviews and how they speak about the game I think they will leave it. It doesn't ruing the gameplay, is optional, many people will probably miss it or discover by a mistake. It adds to the fun. Same goes for jumping of the walls of buildings.

another tip i found is to buy the Mushroom (forgot its name) biogenetic power asap as it makes traversing areas easier and some collectibles/areas are locked behind its use.
I'm very excited to play the Legend of Ratchet and Daxter Cooper Beyond Good and Evil Fable: Breath of the Max Payne Fallout Bad Fur Day of the Colossus Dark Souls. I'm hyped.
Can you go a little more in-depth about 0:42? At what point through your play-through can you visually mutate your character? Where do you go to visually mutate? (Just in-menu?) Visual mutation costs 6 bio points? How many times can your change appearance? Just to sum up, for 6 bio points, you can make your skinny psi-freak look like Tarzan without changing any attributes at all? Thanks for the understanding!
I'd say it's about 2 or 3 hours in depending on whether or not you visit a Biohazard zone. A prompt will appear when you get there to mutate. Mutation costs 1 Bio Point. You can change appearance many times, not sure if there is a limit. Yes you can make your skinny Psi-Freak look like Tarzan this way.

I really hope they make updates to make the world more alive with enemies. I stopped my playthrough and wait for updates, I don't want my first playthrough to feel hollow. I waityed many years for this game, still have hopes for Biomutant since it had a small team.
Psi-Freak sounds like a wicked amount for me. Obviously there will need to be tons of post game balancing. And tbh there seems to be quite a bit of bloat in terms of items and customization. Doubt I will see 1/2 of these upgrades in a play through. Definitely stoked for this tomorrow! It’s just unfortunate that I’m soooo engaged with ME:Leggo Ed. atm:)
Wish you could be more specific about WHEN, WHERE, and HOW we change our appearance, I’d like to spec for stats and then change appearance for aesthetics ASAP
@@AlmissaGaming in the UK there is an online store called shopto.net and they 99% of the time get you the physical copy before release. Sometimes it's a day before but in this case I got it 3 days early.
The autosave feature happens so often that its easier to just die if you're going to drown because you will nornally spawn in on the shore right before you tried to cross the water instead of fast traveling to a location thats miles away.

It's very informative and guide people into some stuff, but wish the certain build isn’t included in the video, since most people will lean into that one build, instead of enjoy their own stat build. Nonetheless, it's a very good video and very informative.
All Mage powers are intellect dependent ? I would like to create a balanced character kinda main melee but with some mage skills... Wondering if I should balance or would be better just go full STR/AGILITY and try to increase intellect later in the game...

I am not sure I would want to have an ugly starting appearance just for the sake of better starting attributes. Because even those attributes are merely starting attributes. By the time I get to the green goo fountain that changes the appearance, I have gain many levels. And every level grants you +10 of any attribute you like. Which means that your starting attributes are almost negligible in your current status. Don't know if I wanna look like Quasimodo and see my mom in the flashback looking like him too just so I could have 10 more points in strength, which I would catch up with in 1 level.
I love the look of the game but I'm gonna wait for the reviews, we all need to change the video game industry one way or another and by not preordering your doing your bit, so please guys follow suit.
I just preorder at Game.. They hold the game for 48 hours...so I can wait.. See what I think of actual play and then decide to pick it up.. Or to cancel the preorder with 0 funds lost
I have a question that regards caracter creation. When you pick a BREED do they scale differently when adding atributes? for example dose a DUMDUN get more stat increase for spending +10 to streangh, the for example the PRIMAL? Or do Primal get more crit per Luck increase the other BREEDS?
