Such a beautiful game, no online bs, no insane gameplay hours stretch, it's simple, colorful and u see every how much love they put in to it, is it perfect? No, far away from that, but it's fresh, new and fun and I hope they make a second one, much love to that studio.
i’m on 2 days in - so far i’m digging it. I get vibes of a combo of Ratchet (minus the clank), Fallout/Skyrim all mixed together into an easier casual gameplay. I like it 👍
It's unique and great. Post- Apocalypse with cute animals, clever names hinting at the days of yore, and a robust crafting system? Sign me up! I can see why some might not dig it because of the "vibe" the game has, but I gave it a chance and I'm still not tired of the narrator after dozens of hours.
@@speculative it's because people need something to hate on. Yes the graphics are mediocre, gameplay is nothing new, the story is ok etc. But it's made with love, good intensions and it's a easy going game with no bs, just like in the old days, can't wait till switch version comes out.
If you haven't made your character yet, PLEASE READ THIS!!! If you hit random a few times you'll hear a chime, it seems this is a gene reset of sorts and it gives you new cosmetic possibilities. First time I heard this I realized my max strength outcome looked totally different, and that's why. So if you want to max out but hate the look, hit random til the chime, then reside back to the stats you want and check it out.
So basically... Primal is highest Crit chance Dumdon is highest Strength points Rex is best Balanced stats Hyla is highest Vitality points Fip is highest Intellect points Murgel is highest Loot chance Dead eye is best Ranged dps Mercenary is best Melee dps Psi-Freak is best Magic dps Sentinel is best for Survival Saboteur is best for Mobility Commando is a mix Ranged/Survival
So I've been hyped about this game was fortunate enough to get it for free but now I'm hearing things like even though it has a great open world rpg and character design, the cookie cutter type puzzles and fetch quests get repetitive real fast which bums me out :/
@@jessethomas7799 I’ve got like 30 hours played I’m still loving the game it’s super fun there’s a lot to explore and try to find secret items and stuff
This game is so, so so much fun! please inform the developers MANY people love their work and see the beautiful craftmanship that is incredibly evident within this game. 10/10. Love it! In fact, I can't wait to jump back in; I have forced myself away from it to show support in the face of the hastely over-critical and inaccurate RU-vidr view(s). Bravo Experiment 101 ^_^
I want to make a character that looks and fights like Fox McCloud. Only weapon I want to use is powerful yet fast firing pistols, melee focused, with small psi power usage.
One thing to note about Resistances: Biohazard is the best as it lets you go into the green zones which lets you upgrade your resistances. You can forgo needing resistance equipment if you use this.
@@TheGreature For sure. In my NG+ clearing for plat trophy now, mellee is a blast when played right/built right. Moving into a pack of mobs and letting them even touch you is muey no good. You've got to bounce between the mobs and control the field through seperation and CC. I'm going to have to say that melle has a skillcap and a learning curve, coming from a soulsgame/rpg gamer mindset you notice the patterns and animation etc, which leads you to proper builds and playstyle. The melle gameplay at higher lvl skill is very fast and melts everythings face. If others want to run around in circles while their auto aim and easy mode does the work for them more power to them. That being said though, once you grasp mellee in this game it becomes trivial at lvl 50 and with the current gear their is no reason to return to the game once you acheive the Plat trophy until hopefully alot more dlc.
Comparing the stats, I hope they fix the Primal breed, since when it's compared to the Murgel, half of it's stats are the same, and the other half are lower. They have the same health, armor, strength, and speed. But the the Murgel has better intellect and charisma, as well as a better loot chance... seems blatantly unfair to the Primal breed which seems pointless by comparison...
Primal is more about agility and dex, while murgel is more about his Charisma,He's really good at bartering and he has a lil higher intelligence bc He's weaker than primal, so you will most likely be using your Psi powers more often than a Primal breed... My build is a Primal breed, Commando class that dual weilds one handed swords and a rifle, its a Critical chance, agility, energy regen build, so i can dodge basically infinitely and I'm super fast.. I'm level 30 rn, been playing for about 18 hours in game time..
Also your loot chance stat is sorta useless sense everyone who plays this normally dumps their first 10-20 level points into Loot chance and crit chance so you can get better gear and parts
@@Towelie42O They have the same health, armor, strength, and speed. But the the Murgel has better intellect and charisma, as well as a better loot chance. Sure lore wise Primal is more about what you said... but like the OP said... Primal are literally worse. Murgels will be slightly stronger in ANY BUILD.
@@Buglin_Burger7878 that's what it says stat wise, but if you build both characters, the murgel is not faster, stronger or any of that.. I have made all the characters.. I believe there is a glitch rn with the stats.. Like a bug, but yeah, try it.. The murgel hits for less dps and its slower
@@Buglin_Burger7878 Also the primal is a critical chance, energy regen, fast pace breed.. The murgel will not hit for the same Damage numbers a Primal puts out.. Even with the exact same stats and weapons, the primal hits harder because of the crit chance.. I know what it looks like when your looking at the graph on screen, that's why I think there's a bug or glitch or something.. You can look it up on google, the developers are the ones who confirmed this, I just tested it out for myself the day I bought the game and yeah, primal hits harder
As a gamer that only plays RPG's of varying styles, i can appreciate in depth systems. But this charecter creation does not work for this game. The game doesnt know what it wans to be and while looking at it, it looks like your decisions matter but they really dont in this game. Nothing you chose is really going to alter your experience very much. The average player is going to be turned off by the precived complexity of the genetics and race but if they stick around they would realize it was almost irrelevant. I really wish devs like this would actually play classic rpg's before creatiing a so called rpg system. Biomutant is NOT an RPG at heart.
If you need a class but don't want to commit to any style, pick Dead-Eye, the double 2-handed gun damage combined with crit means you are dealing 4x damage. If is not only safe, but high crit means good loot chance which means you can get some stupid powerful items if you're lucky. Actually Dead-Eye is practically speaking the best class given this benefit. A Dead-Eye Psi user is the safest of every class, and given there is 3x Strength, Vitality, and Agility boosts in the world... this spirals out of control pretty quickly. With enough add-ons you might be able to forgo luck on level and just focus on Psi and break everything.
My copy is yet to arrive, but as I am easily exhausted and am just looking to see if I can play a game for 1 hour (I have Long COVID) I’m going to choose Psi Freak but I like Saboteur too. Mercenary is now $5 DLC, so I might try that class later. Thanks for the video. I am really just looking to play a game without too much challenge.
ive had alot of success with Deadeye luck and just not letting anyone close, ive consistantly been beating enemies 7+ levels above me in seconds after wung fu and attacking them with ranged weapons. i have so many good items cuz of luck, i have 100% crit and i invested in inteligence for ki energy/mobility mostly. Actually tho the movement u have from Unstoppable duck+Levitate(fly away) and Spore+Blaze is so much, i can get up high or go long distances easily
Im stuck between a psi freak only build, a magic/melee build, devil may cry sword gun build, or crit sniper build. I might only get to do one play through for reasons so want to narrow this down. Lol
you could go for 100 in intellect right at the start and them go full into luck afterwards to go for a magic at midrange, sniper at long range type of deal
@@slandergames9494 after looking it up, it seems like magic doesn't crit unfortunately. but that's not too big of a deal I think. since gun dmg isnt based off a stat, once you have decent crit chance you can just dump everything into intellect and hit pretty hard anyways.
@@Muunio thanks that's pretty helpful, however isn't there a perk that let's psi powers do crit or was I reading that wrong? I'm leaning towards the magic crit sniper build now tho so thanks alot.
@@slandergames9494 if you mean Mind Melt, I think that just gives magic a 10% chance to crit. I don't think that's affected by Luck but I could be wrong.
I'm so confused. This video claims Psi Freak is overpowered when almost everywhere else says it's incredibly underpowered and thus not worth taking. Sigh. I wish I knew which opinion was correct.
Play how you want it. You can always start new after beat the game and try different build. This is what most of these people missing the point acting like it stay like that forever.
The overpowered will be deadeye class since range combat is the one that best for now also because of the perks in deadeye are absolutely good (melee its just weird but i hope they will fix or upgrade it in post update), but if you want to do magic only just pick psifreak, why theres a lot creator that saying psifreak is underpowered its because theres no loot that gives primary psi/magic dmg If you want to see minmax or class opinions just see fextra video, he's already 1 of the solid creator/youtuber if we talking about minmaxing
I play psi freak it’s powerful in its own way with the health regen of 20% with power makes you become a tank with it in higher levels. And how you use the magic can be evasive or aggressive. But I personally after research and tips and tricks I’ve seen am going and redoing as melee. Dual wield swords is nightmarish fast and deadly increase crit through luck in the game will boost that as well as loot drop from luck you’ll encounter nonstop super rare gear to craft or sell with. Plus wushu mode which is godly like going slowmo as neo in the matrix is activated through a three series combos which is activated easily through melee moves.
I'm going saboteur and either murgel or primal, I'm going more on looks than stats though, I'm not really into the min-max part of RPGs but I do want a character I like looking at
Now I just need to get the money for it. I soo badly want to play it though. Although now it's out, you can't preorder it, so hope they come out with another way to get mercenary class, maybe a dlc or something. Hope they add more breeds, like a cat one based for high agility. That is usually my class, high agility. Even in real life I improve my agility.
I'm thinking about running a Psy Freak, but with Agility/Intellect. Mergul race for the loot/crit. Kind of a spellcasting gunslinger. Super pumped for this game lol
I didn’t pay attention to any of that but I’ve got max resistance at lvl 8 and went as murgul and psi class and then only lvled up agility till it hit 70 then split into the other stats but I got lucky with some of my armor two pieces almost max my resistance to the biomes
Probably gonna start a murgul mercenary melee crit focused. Put in some range and some utility magic for cover and going across the battle field like the mushrooms where you jump high into the sky
God why does the Class that interests me the most have the most ugly looking Breed with highest base Int, Fip is just god awful to look at no matter how you change it with the Mutation but the best choice for Psy-Freak. -.-
@@NobleVagabond2552 When you play it tomorrow come back and let me know if I'm wrong or not. By the way its not "hear-say" when I've watched videos and have seen the melee and gunplay myself as well as the stats for the characters they were using. It doesn't matter what class or breed you pick, the guns will be doing more damage than your melee will. Not including the psi freak, I'm talking about the other melee options
For resist middle give 6,6,6 6 but if you tap it slightly you can have 6,6,6,8. If you go to 9 something else drops Caster doesn't crit for now but update about to release for now caster weakest damage class
They NEED to add at least the same co op experience as Borderlands where I can jump into the story with my mate/brother. I wanna see 2-3 man raids in the future, ya know like WoW? 👌🏼
Nothing easier than that. They‘ll just snap their finger and voila , fully functional co-op and re-balancing of all systems has been programmed. Good and you for pointing this out to them .
Anyone that sees this and is on the fence about the game I jist started playing it and it is super fun so far. Combat is a crazy comic book style over the top Deadpool type of thing. It looks really good as well, so i am having a blast 100%.
@@alkiramari8193 Hey thats awesome the psi freak is really great choice 😃. I myself am running a dead- eye class and the guns are pretty powerful but i do love using the Blaze Psi- Power over everything lol.
