I love the Rahi, it is very important when world building to have beasts and wildlife to paint a broader picture of the setting. And their weird cyborg animal designs always spoke to me
love the silver, black, white and green versions, they look awesome, though i guess the silver one gives me earth type vibes as well yet it is my most favorite of the bunch
I hope that one day someone at Lego can convince the higher ups of how much money they would make, if they would release some of these old sets or at the very least bundle of old peaces with new and old colours.
The dark silver/grey one would work in Onu-Wahi, or Ta-Wahi I think, cause grey rocks.Also, Onua had dark silver parts instead of black in og artwork, his Mata canister lid also had this color, he was grey in the 03 game, and his Mistika version had a grey lid instead of black.
I LOVE NUI-JAGA RE-COLORS! No parts swapping too, very impressive! Looking back on Takua's Blog, in 2022 I did these in yellow, lime, tan, orange, black, and silver. Then based on a popular opinion poll, I swapped the silver to teal. I didn't stick with the Pakari obviously, and I switched some of the other parts to get there. For example I used slizer heads in place of some of the robo-rider heads. And I did some swapping of the slizer feet for other parts combos. For the tubes I didn't have, I used axle connectors. But at least I was able to motorize one for a display. Keep the rahi-recolors coming!
For what it’s worth there’s nothing saying the rahi colors have to align with the toa colors. Perhaps the silver Nui-Jaga is the onu-wahi variety, using its shiny coloring to lure in prey before striking.
Somewhat late on this one, but possibly the second hardest of these to make would be the Mata red one or the Mata green one. Mainly because the non-printed red Robo Rider head for the stinger only comes in two Technic sets from 2000 (8279) and 2001 (8242), and in two sets (8353 and 8354) from the "Drome Racers" theme from early 2003. The green one may be a similar story, as the hand sockets in that color only appeared in the Technic Pit Droid (8000) from 2000, Lewa Nuva (8567) from '02, and Lehrak (8587) from 2003. However, 24 of this part in Mata green were released between two Bionicle "Parts tubs" released in 2005 (8715) and May 2006 (6620), which may make the process easier.
I love these color swap videos! 😊 I wonder if it would be possible to make a teal version of Lewa or Pohatu since their masks were released in that color.
I always loved the Nui Jaga and the Recolors look amazing. Love the Orange one! But would've been cool to have a brown/tan one as well, since orange and green had some little cheating in the part colors already. And lets face it, as long as the colors fit a little variation here and there won't hurt. I'll probably go to build a more modern version of the Nui Jaga but I need a few more pieces for now.
Ooooooh I love the recolour series. Nui-Jaga might have been the wisest choice, seeing how hard it'd be for Nui-Rama... That might be possible for the Bohrok Queens though... Come on Ko-Koro, you get a Bahrag, and you Le-Koro you get a Bahrag! And you Onu-Wahi, you get a Bahrag! And you Po-Koro you get... Hang on, not sure that's possible for Tan / Brown 🤔
I've seen people doing Tarakava recolours: yellow, of course (prototype like), but Hoplite Toys also did it in white. Incidently, they've also done some fun Fikou recolours!
Can you please do a Shiny Bohrok and Rahkshi video? The Bohrok Windscreen comes in solid Black, Keet Orange, Metru Blue, and Pearl Dark Grey The Rahkshi Back Cover comes in Peal Light & Dark Grey, Metru Green, and technically Keet Orange if you can reuse the Stars Rahkshi mold onto the classic build. The Rahkshi Heads and Feet come in even more colors.
My favourite is the red one. Not because of colour, but because it fits perfectly with Kofo Jaga. I wonder how number of possible shinies would depend on the Rahi you choose from the master builder set.
That's probably "Pearl Light Grey". There's a couple of stores that list it on Bricklink with pictures, but I have no clue where they got that part from. My best guess is that it's from the Bohrok-Kal, with the print being removed. The closer "official" colour I can find is "Pearl Dark Grey", which can be found in two Racers sets: 8376: Hot Flame and 8472: Street 'n' Mud Racer. At least that's what Bricklink and Rebrickable say, because when you look at the pictures they look Black.
