Using a biplane is actually not a bad idea, because at this BR the SPAA's are expecting for something that is fast and fly high. You got them completely unprepared.
Also i thought godlike medal on thumbnail was fake and it was.. i killed a t90a on my first bombing with my 1.0 biplane and like i thought no medal so massive lie on thumbnail, and the other game even tho i was flying low to the point where trees were in my plane i got 2s6ed
@@ossarmyriade8878 it is fake. You can get god mode only if you kill a tank with another tank or a plane with another plane. Hahaha too easy plane vs tank. Even in 1.7 ju87 can mount the 1000kg bombs, so it will be too easy kill 1 or 2 tank with it and obtain 1 god mode per battle
@@FM-hw8yv ah ship that was in a book I returned to a library way back. I'll go digging but if I can't find it look for a book called "MacArthur's Navy"
@@FM-hw8yv Though the Allied forces had taken Okinawa by 21 June, Japanese forces continued to skirmish. On 9 July 1945, Callaghan took station on the radar picket line, where on 28 July she drove off an attacking wood-and-fabric Yokosuka K5Y biplane. The aircraft survived the first approach because the proximity fuses were ineffective against its wooden fuselage.[2] The plane, skimming low and undetected, crashed into Callaghan on the starboard side. It exploded and one of the aircraft's bombs penetrated the aft engine room. The destroyer flooded and the fires which ignited antiaircraft ammunition prevented nearby ships from rendering aid. Callaghan sank at 02:35, 28 July 1945, with the loss of 47 members of her crew. She was the last Allied ship sunk by a kamikaze attack during the war.
Biplanes generally have a small radar cross section, combined with low speed and a low altitude theres a fair chance that a radars computer will filter you out as clutter.
I can't remember for sure, but I think I remember reading that there's a minimum speed requirement for radar to even notice you against scenery. It would be hilarious if this means you don't even show up on radar with a slow biplane. [edit] I googled one paper and it reads: "All single-phase-center air-to-ground radars are characterized by an MDV, or a minimum radial velocity below which motion of a discrete nonstationary target is indistinguishable from the relative motion between the platform and the ground. Targets with radial velocities less than MDV are typically overwhelmed by endoclutter ground returns, and are thus not generally detectable" from "GMTI Radar Minimum Detectable Velocity" pdf [can't post links on youtube] So perhaps this only applies to airborne radar. Wikipedia also has an article with a "Minimum detectable velocity" section [page called Moving target indication]
Speed doesn't matter until you go too fast (in-game: some AA missiles, gunfire). You can hide behind terrain or buildings to block radar completely, cause incorrect returns with ground clutter or fly above the search radar view sector.
It works for A2G radars because the radar computer has to clear the ground-return clutter, meaning if you go slowly on the ground the computer might mistake you as part of the terrain (a technique called notching uses exactly this weakness of radar, to fly perpendicular and at a lower altitude of another aircraft to avoid a radar lock). For a ground radar there is virtually nothing in the atmosphere for the aircraft to blend in with, which is why it probably wouldn't work.
Back in the 90s during the War of Independence, the Croats would use agricultural planes as standard radar did not spot them. Just to be clear, they are visible to the radar, but the usual radar setup ignores anything that flies slower then 300km per hour. Naturally, the other side adjusted the radar setup , making the planes detectable again. But WT does not have that option. Great video BTW!!
“Hey guys, Peter griffin here. I’m here to tell you that contrary to popular belief, Smarfer didn’t die like a complete noob here but was rather trying to save his fellow teammate from a 152mm High-Explosive shell by flying directly into it’s path” 3:46 Why did I do this
I love the consistency of using the TT themes for biplanes, this is awesome to find the most braindead players and curbstomp em with Night Witches logic.

Actually watched all the way through! Nice video loved the editing, great job syncing the music to events. You actually make quality War Thunder shorts unlike most. Thanks for this and keep it up!
Lvkv 9040 gang with their head on a permanent swivel: Excuse me what? Explanation: Lvkv 9040's preferred prey are rocket choppers, or CAS jets committing to an attack run after having approached under the radar. You just naturally start to rely on your hearing more than your radar after a while.
One of the best moments I ever had in war thunder was getting a quad-kill with a biplane (hs123) at br 7.0 Nothing beats the pure "I'm better" feeling than biplanes
I’ve watched this video about 8 or 9 times now and I’m just astonished how accurate you are with your bomb drops I can’t seem to hit the broadside of a barn if I’m using small bombs like that
I got a very similar achievement when I took the American premium M2 Stewart into a BR 9. It's ridiculous how armor literally does not have an effect anymore on the modern battlefield.
Yet another thing that Gaijin denies players of France, no hilarious biplanes or otherwise stubby-winged low-tier vehicles! That does beg the question... can the F.222 and N.C.223 do CAS? They may not be nimble, but they can fly on something like 40% throttle at ~90mph, and they certainly have decent bombloads for their tier.
I feel like this might be cost effective when you bomb out an enemy 3 or 4 tiers higher than you. Bonus points up to T6 and using that TerraTech OST. I was wondering why I was smiling when I heard this track
0:11 yep. thats me. you may be wondering how i ended up in that situation. fr tho, good job man, we were trying to shoot down a chopper and you caught us completely unprepared, king stuff
ive tried to kill a maus with a biplane but got shot down immediately and also trying tiny tim rocket it.. those player are probal pissed and are enjoying there repair cost and can you do one with the p26-4 or the f6f with tiny tims or f3f
