@@Cysco8575 Got gaijined by the taxiway that joins up to the main runway, which I landed my badly damaged spit on wheels-up. I landed on a road without blocking the runway and got penalised lol I sat there for the rest of the game without bailing to spite the two P47s that glued to me in a 1v3 and followed me back to my airfield while spraying .50cals from 1.5km away endlessly. At least they got murked by AA.
@@eb3yr The other day I landed on the taxiway, came to rest right next to what looks like a service hangar. No repair. So nobody is capable of working *anywhere* on the entire airbase other than the runway??
When you realize that AA on consoles get an aim assist and the ability to spam A to lock on to targets up to 3km out. Passively spin in circles spamming A to become a radar post.
I may or may not use this to absolutely cheese the hell out of heavy bombers or fast planes flying low. I also happen to know that this is an extremely fun way to vibe check heavy fighters/ground attackers with slow firing large caliber AA trucks
@@evanpilot yep. It's because AA players on console had like 20% of the success of PC players. It doesn't calculate lead, just lock your camera onto it
I was thinking he was going to go over attacks at sharp angles (a little bit of a UI exploit because looking straight up is awkward, but not unrealistic since that goes for human physiology anyway), or attacking a distracted target
Dude that is awesome! You created and became your own War Thunder version of Bazooka Charlie! You are a legend, an actual War Thunder legend, with a unique and legendary way to decimate your enemies!
In real life, getting bomb at in a tank is devastating. Even though the explosion doesn't come through the armor, the metal scales inside the tank becomes shrapnel by the extreme shockwaves. This why modern tanks have spaced armor plates and reactive composite plates over the main hull or turret hull.
1:50, you're really lucky that it only took the top wing tips. I accidentally rammed my entire top wing off on an enemy 109 once and only made it back to base because I had altitude to start with.
Barely making it back to the airbase in a plane that has no right to still be in the air is the most satisfying feeling in warthunder, even though it almost never matters.
Did the exact same thing with the Yak-1, glided down on a German Churchill and the bombs actually rolled underneath the poor sod, didn't see it coming till the bang went off. Best bombing run I ever did.
Since it also has a .50 cal you could probably kill or at least damage some of the softer targets at that BR. I once went on a 4-5 kill rampage with just the guns at 1.3.
Yeah, I tend to try doing something similar to this with the Swordfish. Come in low with the engine off, find a good target and use the bomb sight to get a surgically accurate drop, have even gotten a STRV-81 with it lol
I love doing it in Fw 190 d-9 and f-8, just use 50 kg bombs and get 4 kills every run. Heavies usually get extremely salty when small bombs still ignore armor when used right.
I'm like 90% sure I killed you while you were filming this video. I thought it was weird that a biplane was in my 6.3 match flying so damn low. Saw this video a few days later. It all makes sense.
I've been doing this a lot (in the I-16 though) since December 2019 and hell I even use the plane to dogfight afterwards. I don't give a damn if they're 5.7 or 6.7 but it works well. I also used to start chatting the enemy the lyrics to Sabaton's Night Witches before I start bombing which is a bad idea. Singing it AFTER the bombing run was a better course of action.
