One of the best review channels. Sometimes Im get disappointed how much more popular guys (like makers muse ) have a more superficial approach. However you should use black plastic to show print quality
Thank you for the feedback... very promissing unit if BTT correct those issues. I’m always scared with those companies that are new to build the entire printer... there is always a lack of quality control regarding structure There is just one part cooling fan or two? By the way the DD extruder unit looks great! I hope it will be less expensive than Hemera, if the price is close I will get the UK one ;)
Hi Fernando, there is only one part cooling fan. It's located at the back side of the print head. You can see it better in our first video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AHUFlGe176Q.html
You are putting an opinion as a statement. I don't care for the bigger display either but I understand its philosophy: providing a platform for easy integration with a Raspberry Pi and something like octoprint. Some people might be interested in that. To me it is nice to see a manufacturer is trying something else other than outputing another Ender 3 clone and trying to lift on Creality's "success". I like to see a bigger bed bed as well but then in a coreXY. I hope to see more decent built coreXY printers appearing on the market in the nearby future.
I've been waiting for you review - this is the printer I want to get next year. Hopefully they will have worked out the kinks until then. Seems liike a no-brainer considering I wanted to go for the Prusa Mini initially^^ The only concern seems to be part cooling and therefore bridging, but I want to tackle this using BerdAir cooling. Hopefully you'll get a finished product to revisit this printer. Cheers.
So there isnt 0.9 motor for extruder? About alignment of z-axis, because of 2 drivers for each Z stepper motor, printer should be able to self align by marlin gcode G34 (marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/G034.html) which was at first also confirmed by Biqu. I dont know why they put stop senzor to the z-axis, and if, why only on one side. About magnetism of steel sheet, they said that shipped versions will have improved magnetic sticker on heatbed. Thank you for review, and i wish you all best to the new year :)
@Michal Cengel There are 5 stepper drivers on BTT SKR BX board, so what the fifth is for? As far as i know, in final version they canceled sync belt between z rods, so there should be some sort of stepper motors alignment. But if one driver is enough for G34 than its still good :)
Hello, and congratulations again for the quality and clarity of the presentations, but it would also be "nice" to have videos that talk about changes and modifications, for a change. Why not talk about the MKS GEN_L v2 card with TMC2209: assembly, settings, etc. for example. It has been a long time since there has been such an article. Pity. Maybe for this new year? Until then very good health to you all. Cordially.
Hi, thank you for the suggestion. We always try to add new tutorials but we it's hard to get enough free time to do it all :) We will try to have more tutorials this year.
Hi very informative, Waiting for my printer to receive next week i would like to know if someone can share the cura/pruser printer settings/profiles. Thx to all
Very nice printer, they could change HDMI to displayport connector with manual latch. I bought for my printer 7"display and i rather to have 5" after experience.
Thank you for the follow up video, but was expecting some layer and/or other print info on each print demo just to get an print qualty notion, next time maybe? thanks, keep the great work
@@MarkusFotofieber Its weird that there is sensorless homing for X and Y, but for Z they used stop sensor, when its not needed because of inductive probe.
@Michal Cengel This would be a shame as it was discussed on Kickstarter where I ( as Markus) proposed to use G34. One of the comments was "DanielR vor 2 Monaten It has, you can see that it has 5 stepper drivers on the mainboard pictures. X , Y, E, Z, Z" and "Alakuu vor 2 Monaten One of the testers has shown video of using G34 to level on the printer already. Yes it has two individual stepper motors and drivers (they're not belt tied so they can G34)."
Boas Rui.
Hope they have fixed issues I had with my Biqu B1: - Filament runout detection wired to display instead of mainbord prevented Octoprint to handle filament runout - noisy hotend cooling fan - Part cooling fan broken in less than a month. 5010 fan instead of 4010 solved my issues.
1) There isnt filament sensor on BX 2) They said that fans will be improved with more silent one 3) Part cooling fan/duct is for me the biggest issue there (very small and insufficient fan and also not so good fan duct). I have already saw user mod with putting 5015 blower to the front of extruder with new fan duct.
Hi Henning, both machines are very different. One is a direct drive machine with big display and raspberry pi support (amough other features). The other is a bowden machine which also has some nice fefatures. It depends on what you are really looking for.
These Chinese companies don’t do much testing. Just try and get them out the door as fast and cheaply built as possible and collect money from the round eyes.
