I love your videos! Ever since my husband and I bought our first feeder we've been obsessing over birds! We've been getting large flocks of all different kinds of birds - especially the house sparrows - in our yard! I just told my husband that if we were neighbors it would be a bird sanctuary, lol!
@Simon Li You will want to clean out the nesting box. Keeping their house clean is a good idea to help prevent disease. Just keep doing what you're doing though! If they came to stay once, they will return.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else needs to find out about bird aviaries plans try Panlarko Expert Aviary Planner (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my co-worker got cool results with it.
Dear Birdman I think I put stale sunflower seeds in my bird feeder. I recently moved and hung a clinger. The chickadees came, left and never came back I've got fresh seed in the bird feeder now do you suppose they'll come back? I live in an apartment so my choices are limited as to where the feeder is located and it is currently located in a window in cavity. I live in Calgary Alberta, Canada so it gets cold here but I can hear them in the nebourhood.
It is possible they were given stale sunflower seeds. Sunflower seeds do work, but better yet is sunflower kernels. More energy per bite, less work for the birds, and because of how clingers only feeders lets clinging birds feed sunflower kernels are the best!
The Red Clinger's Only Feeder (also available in green & yellow) is available at SongbirdStation.com; just type "Clinger" into the product search box. The cage feeder is no longer available; however, type "cage" into that same product search box and see other options. The two wooden feeders are also available on the same site. I hope this helps! Happy birding!
